Alastor, like many in the Hellstrom clan, served Malgorath in life, and spent much of his life chasing the arcane, and when the chance discovery of an evil ritual that would increase one twin's power at the expense of the life and soul of the other was made, Alastor saw an opportunity to rid himself of his unwanted daughter once and for all.
