Origin

Deandre Miller was a gifted youth who grew up in a single parent home after his father was murdered coming home from work. His grandfather played a crucial role in his life thereafter, often disciplining him whenever he went astray. One day while preparing his home for a garage sale, Deandre stumbled upon an old chest in the attic with a worn-out costume and tons of memorabilia of a hero known as the Mantis. Deandre confronted his mother and grandfather about this, and learned a truth that would change his life forever.
