Horrificus is the alter ego of Joshua Snow. He was born to a single mother and never knew his father. The diminutive boy grew up with a mother constantly under the influence of alcohol. They lived off of welfare checks and whatever men were willing to pay for her services. He did numerous odd jobs whenever the opportunity popped up. They were always in need of money, as his mother was quick to spend whatever they had to satisfy her addiction. He was often the target of bullying and had no friends to speak of. The people who knew him, mostly out of circumstance, described him as "anti-social" and the kind of person you would generally try to avoid. During high school Joshua began having homicidal thoughts and his behavior became aggressive. He had fits of anger where he would seem to be shouting gibberish. The diagnosis was between schizotypal personality disorder and psychopathy. He scribbled disturbing images in his notebook, which he also wrote in as a journal. Most of what he wrote was nonsense but there were sentences that described his homicidal and deviant fantasies. He was forbidden from going back to his school and was to go to mental health ward to receive treatment. Joshua snapped and the last bit of sanity he had was gone. He transformed into a creature straight out of hell. The police discovered her mother dead in their home. They found his journal with the word 'HORRIFICUS' scratched into the cover. After managing to kill many of those he felt had wronged him, Arachknight and Astron captured Horrificus. He was sent to a special facility where they would contain as well as treat him. During times he is not heavily sedated, high emotional stimulus can trigger him to transform into the demon once again.
