The Pan-African Registry of Metahumans began as an initiative to catalogue the various kinds of superpowered beings springing up across the continent. It has grown from a small, informal database into a fully-staffed, all-volunteer research, training, dispatch and network organization dedicated to providing health-care and employment to its members. Individuals registered with PARM enjoy an extensive suite of medical options and employment opportunities uniquely suited to their particular abilities, as well as a state-of-the-art research and training facility where they can contribute to the burgeoning field of metahuman powers research.

The research division has developed a general classification index of metahuman abilities, helping to streamline the process of job placement as well as medical attention. Each index classification covers a particular spectrum of abilities, and is subsequently refined through additional sub-indices.
