Nathan Lopez Garcia is the main protagonist of Lonely God, and is a member of the Canerian Special Forces (CSF) fighting in the war between NATO and the superpower Drasil. After his metahuman ability to see ghosts awaken following the Granian Incident, his powers were discovered by the lead scientist Stephen Grant, leading to his recruitment to the military.
As a member of the CSF under the special unit for those affected by the Granian Incident, Garcia is given the codename The Shaman. However, those on the battlefield would refer to Nathan as The Ghost King as Nathan's popularity begins to skyrocket from his heroic deeds on the front lines. Nathan joined the CSF at the same time his best friend Parsa Soroush, joined, Soroush, being given the codename The Invulnerable.
