Efficiency and battle, through countless trials as a cybernetic soldier to ASCENSION, Benjamin Fong codename SPART205, sought to avenge his fallen brothers and sisters to the Iron Council."

Benjamin Fong, ASCENSION designation SPART205, and later, known amongst the Remnants as Warchild, is the second Remnant of Paladin Decen as well as the boyfriend and later fiancé to a past version of Coraline Jensen.

Specializing in ranged weaponry and long range combat, along with his innate Remnant ability to generate highly destructive Nanopower, Ben comprises most, if not all, of the ranged military might of the Remnants, with no one seemingly approaching the Remnant in marksmanship skills and ranged firepower. According to Ben's younger brother, Deacon "Fury" Chow (Remnant 3), Ben's marksmanship skills surpass even Meena Kennedy's, who was regarded as The Organization's greatest soldier.

Ben's body is unique from the other Remnants, as it had undergone the ASCENSION SPARTAN Endoskeleton Surgery, essentially grafting cybernetics to his internal skeleton and replacing many of his core organs with computerized modules. Because of the surgery, Ben is considered a cyborg, with its own cybernetic enhancements paired with his innate Remnant abilities. This provides Ben with more utility than his brothers.

Abilities

Master Marksman: Ben's marksmanship skill has repeatedly been remarked by fellow Remnants and even other fighters as being near unparalleled in skill. According to Fury, Ben's skill with firearms is far beyond human capabilities. Meena Kennedy, the Organization's top soldier, believed that Ben possesses an even greater skill in firearms than herself.

When Ben regained his body and consciousness, Ben went on a frenzy, and was able to defeat Remnant 3, Remnant 5, Remnant 6, Remnant 9, and Remnant 15 by picking them off at a strategic distance extremely efficiently using normal man-made modern firearms. Ben proceeded to outclass Meena Kennedy's Revolvers with a single Desert Eagle, before Merrow Rivenlight intercepted the fight.

Ben's skill extends even further from guns, as Ben is also able to throw grenades with deadly accuracy. As shown when he strategically took down all five Remnants, Ben was able to toss flashbang grenades from a long distance to disorient them.

Expert Hand to Hand Combatant: Paired with Ben's cybernetic conditioning, Ben's mind possesses several martial arts techniques engrained in his memory, allowing him to fight on par with Merrow Rivenlight with his combat knife upon the gap being closed. However, against stronger opponents like Remnant 3 and Remnant 9, Ben is severely outclassed in hand to hand combat. Ben has stated that he prefers fighting his battles from a distance as "a ranged fight will always be to [his] advantage".

Despite this, Ben's close range combat is still formidable, as Ben relies on deception and strategically shifting the fight. Of all the Remnants, Ben's style is the most cunning.

Master Stealth Combatant: A large part as to why Ben was able to defeat all five of his brothers was in part to his ability to sneak and conceal himself. Ben's ability to completely erase his presence and hide from his opponents was what Jonathan Ko learned from his brother in his early years fighting opponents that were significantly stronger than him.

Ben uses this style of combat to defeat many of his opponents as he prioritizes efficiency, rarely wasting any ammunition. However, Ben's pride can sometimes get the best of him, as he refused to fight with stealth against Meena, seeing the Ex-Mercenary as a rival and decided to fight her head on. Ben was disappointed that the skill gap between the two marksman was very large, however.

After regaining his body and learning of Corey's capture at the hands of Mogul, Ben uses his stealth techniques a lot more frequently, prioritizing her rescue above all things.

Crafting and Modification: Ben learned to access hidden files in his cybernetic memories, allowing him to build and construct numerous pieces of equipment in his arsenal.

Equipment

Ben's biggest asset is his arsenal of various weapons and equipment which he uses in combat. Ben's versatility stems from the different kinds of equipment he uses and his knowledge on tactical warfare. These weapons are hardwired to his ASCENSION cybernetics, and paired with his Nanopower ability, are capable of extreme military firepower.

Ben's weapons stem from his SPARTAN ASCENSION technological enhancement magazines, which strap onto normal equipment and evolve them into their SPARTAN equivalents. This is the case with his SPARTAN Battle Pistol, which evolved from a standard revolver, and his Lesion, which evolved from his Desert Eagle.

However, after Ben began to tap into hidden files in his cybernetic memory bank, he began to access hidden blueprints for more ASCENSION warfare, as well as download the required skills to craft his own weapons. Using this knowledge, Ben's arsenal expands greatly, allowing him to construct various other pieces of ASCENSION equipment with the resources from the world he lived in.

Although Ben starts out with equipment that were standard issue to his SPARTAN class, he eventually builds weapons from other classes and original weapon ideas of his own as his crafting abilities grew. Of all the pieces of equipment Ben owns, a majority of them have been his own creations or modifications.

Firearms

• SBP M96X - Short for "SPARTAN Battle Pistol Model 96X", Ben's signature revolver capable of multiple firing options. The weapon initially had two configurations for long and short distance combat, but as Ben slowly began to obtain more and more weapons, the battle pistol evolved along with his arsenal to deal charged shots, multi shot, and single damage standard shot. The SPB is capable of firing high power rounds in a six shot revolver style rotating magazine, utilizing Ben's Nanopower and SPARTAN core for bullet enhancement. The bullets are capable of penetrating Lucius Cassidy's Spike Clad and Deacon Chow's Demonfire Constructs, and surpass that of an anti-tank rifle.

• Lesion C5BR - Ben's second handgun which he uses in conjunction with his SBP, the Lesion is a semi-automatic pistol that was derived from a Desert Eagle he had stolen during his raid to rescue Jonathan Ko. The Lesion is capable of dealing significant firepower when paired with Ben's energy enhancement powers. However, deals less damage than his SBP in exchange for faster fire rate. When Ben fights with the Lesion, he uses it to lay out suppressing fire, then uses his SBP to pick off opponents.

• FN P90 SPARTAN Grade S - A submachine gun that Ben uses as a sidearm, the FN P90 SPARTAN is a heavily modified and revised version of the original FN P90 submachine gun used in modern day, designed to fire even higher penetrating rounds by ASCENSION to combat the Iron Council. Ben uses this weapon during close quarters combat if his distance is breached. The fast fire rate and high penetrating rounds instantly force enemies away or kill them in close range.

• Tiber - The Tiber is Ben's double barrelled break action shotgun that he uses to destroy barriers, shields, or force fields that his handguns normally would not be able to penetrate. The Tiber boasts firepower surpassing his handguns and is one of his more harder hitting firearms, optimized highly for damage dealing. However, due to this, the weapon possessing very high recoil that would otherwise be impossible to wield by normal marksman. The recoil of the weapon is minimized due to Ben's cybernetics and enhanced strength.

• Orion Breaker - Ben's Orion Breaker is a rocket launcher that he uses to wipe out large rooms of enemies in an instant. Each rocket is capable of immense firepower to the point where the weapon can level entire high scale buildings. The rocket launcher features a 14 rotary magazine.
  • Orion Cannon - Ben constructed a stronger variant of the Orion Breaker, the Orion Cannon, to deal as an anti-aircraft solution during his missions. Similar to his Breaker, the Cannon variant features a 14 rotary magazine, but instead of rockets, the Orion Cannon fires highly destructive beams of energy. Similar to his Tiber, the Orion Cannon possesses massive recoil, even greater than the shotgun. Because of this, the Orion Cannon carries six legs that Ben uses to stabilize on the ground when firing, as even with his cybernetic strength, he cannot keep the weapon steady during firing.
