The world's first superhumans, they were mutated by the Progenitors nearly 500,000 years ago. They live in a climate controlled hidden valley in Antarctica known as Arcadia. They have occasionally warred with Lemuria over the ages. While the valley is hidden, their leader, King Hazor, has allowed some Empyreans to leave Arcadia in order to interact with modern civilization, provided they keep the location secret.
