- Peter Atkins was just a self-employed handy man working for the local community of Raleigh, North Carolina. When working on a neighbor's plumbing, twenty-seven year old Peter was bombarded by radiation from a small fragment of Kelvarite. After five years of crime-fighting, Cyclone has burst onto the scene, defending the east coast from superhuman threats and balancing it with his family life. Now married with a son, Cyclone struggles to keep his identity a secret. He is powerful, controlling weather itself, and has a compassionate heart.
Appearance
- The Nondescript: Peter has a very normal appearance in his civilian identity. He has plain, dark blonde hair that is swept to the side, neatly combed in a respectable manor. He has somewhat small ears and a smaller, more feminine nose. He has a plain chin and cheeks. He is the every man, and hardly anyone knows of his alternate identity: Cyclone. He has a somewhat impressive build, but it is usually just regarded as part of his every day routine. He is seen jogging around the neighborhood, lifting weights at the gym, and just being overly manly.
- I Was Quite the Looker: In high school, Peter was the star running back for a North Carolina high school football team. From the time he played, they won two State championships and were nearly undefeated for the two seasons. He dated the prettiest girl in school and was often dreamed about by the other young women. He was not the funniest, but beneath his then messy blonde hair was a large brain, which allowed him to do well academically, as well as socially. Since high school, Peter has lost some of his handsome appeal. He has definitely "mellowed out", gaining a much more normal appearance.
- Clark Kenting: To date, no one has been able to guess Peter's heroic Cyclone identity. The two are almost completely different. Peter is a quiet, stay at home dad. Cyclone is a brave, courageous super hero bashing criminals on the 6 o' clock news. Peter lacks humor and lost most of his social adventurism. Cyclone lives for the cameras and enjoys being in the spotlight. His arch nemesis, the Maestro, came close to discovering Cyclone's true identity, but thanks to expert hacker and family friend Daniel Law, the villain's information was seized and deleted.
- Movie Superheroes Wear Black: Cyclone's main superhero outfit is mostly black. It is traditionally for night patrols or for blending in with the shadows. However, the bright orange on his upper body somewhat contradicts this. He wears a tight spandex, nearly ballistics-proof outfit. He sometimes adorns his cowl with a small crest arcing back. He also has alternating emblems: a lightning, a tornado, and sometimes a sharp "C". He has a somewhat iconic appearance to the people of Raleigh, North Carolina, and is easily recognizable to the media.
Personality
- Sarcasm Blind: While in his civilian identity, Peter Atkins has a small sense of humor. He is usually serious and few find his jokes actually funny. He is usually introverted and not overly social as he once was in high school. He has definitely matured, some say for the worse. He is a man of few words, and expresses himself through his actions. However, Cyclone is a more camera-friendly man of action, ready to say a few words to the viewers. He is more like his high school version while in his black and orange tights. Many would prefer Cyclone over PEter if they knew his true identity.
