Doktor von Achtung was a brilliant scientist and psychophysiologist who was killed during WWII. His brain was recovered and restored by the Nazis, who enslaved him to create weapons for the Reich. He escaped and joined the Allies, and now works independently on his ethically-questionable experiments for the good of Mankind.

Background

Dr. Heinrich von Achtung was one of the greatest minds in parapsychology before the Second World War, as well as the sole heir to a psionic research and development firm, and a wild child playboy. Betrayed by his mentor and friend, he was killed en route to a conference where he would sell his weaponized discoveries to the highest bidder. Much to his chagrin, his body was exhumed and his brain preserved, revived, and coerced into continuing his research by the SS Paranormal Division. Secretly requisitioning materials and manpower under the guise of building psychokinetic weaponry for the Reich, he was eventually able to construct an exoskeleton without the knowledge of his captors. He staged a daring escape, which was successful only due the sacrifice of one of his fellow researchers. His exoskeleton was almost completely destroyed in the process, and it's unclear how long it took before he was recovered by Allied soldiers.
