Tuva Nordström (born Tuva Nilsson) was born to Leon and Lilly Nilsson in Uppsala, Sweden. When Tuva was 5 months old a fire had started in her home, the blaze had destroyed the apartment building. Shifting through the wreckage one of responding firefighters, a man by the name of Stefan Nordström was sure he wouldn't find any survivors of the family that once inhabited the home. Eventually the man came upon a room in one of the singed apartments, and quickly began hearing the sounds of a baby from the other side of the blocked door. After carefully breaking down the door of the small nursery the man came upon a baby girl. After alerting the other firefighters the girl was taken from the room to be checked out at a hospital. While looking around the room the man was bewildered, while the rest of the apartment building had been destroyed by the inferno, the nursery had been virtually untouched and could not figure out how the young infant survived. After discovering that the baby girl was not injured he so discovered that the fire had made her an orphan. After years of trying with no success Stefan and his wife Lovisa had had no luck in conceiving a child. After a quick conversation the couple decided to adopt the young girl and raise her has their own.
Tuva had a pretty normal childhood, scraped knees, pigtails, and mud pies were common place. She was a decent student and she quickly became interested in her high school newspaper. Through this, she discovered her passion for journalism and uncovering the truth. After graduating from high school Tuva enrolled in university as a journalism major in Millennium City, Michigan, and taking her next step toward her dream of becoming a top news investigative journalist.
One day while leaving the library and walking toward her car a couple of purple gang members attempted to mug the young woman. After running off she ended up running down an alley into a dead end. Tuva the began to try to fight back but was easily overpowered. When she was about to lose hope that she would survive the encounter she began to feel the temperature in the alley get colder. When she held up her hands to defend herself from her attackers a wave of ice was projected from her hands and she froze all of her attackers solid stopping them in their tracks. The police soon arrived and had discovered what she had done. Tuva was then referred to UNTIL, it was here that she learned that the fear she felt during the attack triggered her latent mutant abilities. She began to learn to control her newfound powers while simultaneously taking her journalism classes. It was her time investigating the happenings of Millennium City that first drew her interest of the idea of hero work. After learning to control her cryokinetic abilities, she decided to take up the fight against evil while simultaneously uncovering and reporting the truth about the world she lives in.
Charming and beautiful, Tuva wants nothing more than to help and care for those around her. She's highly intuitive and has an innate curiosity, that can sometimes get her into trouble. After becoming a reporter, she began even more so investigating the superhero element in Millennium City.
Tuva can be quite stubborn and holds true to her morals, despite what others may want of her. Tuva is also a bit of a risk taker and more often doesn't hesitate to take action.
Ironically Tuva can be a little hot-headed, especially if someone hurts the people she cares about. She is a fiercely loyal friend and ally and can always be counted on when a situation calls for her attention. Tuva can also be considered as "guarded" when it comes to engaging with new people, but with the people that she trusts she is an open, caring, and compassionate person.
- Cryokinesis: Frost has the ability to absorb or "suck" the kinetic, and thus thermal, energy from her surroundings, allowing her to generate extreme temperatures of cold from her body. Consequently, she can cool and freeze any form of matter, including such substances as carbon dioxide, nitrogen, helium, and hydrogen. Frost can freeze any air moisture into super-hard ice. This ice can be formed into any object of her choosing: the only limitations are her own imagination, and the ambient air temperature which determines how long her ice sculptures will stay icy. She does not have to hold the ice physically with her hands in order to shape it. Frost can simply direct the waves of coldness she projects in certain ways so as to create ice in the shape she desires. Frost can lower the temperature of the air to below freezing temperatures allowing her to summon freezing cold winds, blizzards, and snow storms. Frost can hurl daggers, spikes, and spears of ice at her opponents and can make constructs of ice for a variety of different effects such as walls, shields, platforms, etc. She can freeze enemies and objects in blocks of ice. Frost can generate temperatures near absolute zero, and in some extreme, and very useful, cases, can suck the potential and kinetic thermal energy out of such destructive devices as bombs and explosives, nullifying them. A tell-tale sign of her accessing her powers is producing icy mist from both of her hands.
- Heat Absorption: Frost has the ability to lower the temperature of objects upon touch. This ability extends down to the subatomic level, With her power she can lower the temperature of organic and synthetic material to the point where it freezes and in some cases shatters. She is able to fully freeze a human and shatter through insulated gloves. Frost achieves this by absorbing heat and thermal energy. Frost is even able to absorb body heat and is able to absorb all of the heat from peoples bodies until they freeze to death.
- Ice Construct Creation: Frost is able to create tools, objects, weapons and other items, create semi-living constructs and/or create structures/buildings of varying permanence. Frost can create constructs for almost any situation, creating anything she needs. Her ability to create is only limited by her own imagination if she can imagine an object she can create it. The permanence of her constructs is determined on the ambient temperature of her current enviroment.
- Ice Slide: Frost is able to create an "ice slide", a low-friction chute of ice similar to a slide, on which she can skate or glide on to get from one place to another. This enables her to move quite quickly, and by constantly freezing the moisture in the air she can augment and continue the ice slide indefinitely, spanning great distances, heights, and obstacles.
- Mist Form: Frost is able to transform herself into an icy cloud of mist. Her mist form is able to change to any shape and form and even expand her mass, Frost can use her mist form to fly and can propel herself independently of other forces like wind. Due to her mist form, Frost can phase through or around certain kinds of objects, such as a chain link fence. She can also fit through any opening that isn't air tight.
- Freeze Breath: Frost is able to create an icy fog with her breath as well as expel frigid temperatures to freeze things.
- Permafrost Second Skin: Frost can completely encase her body in permafrost giving her a higher level of durability. While she can feel pain it is slightly reduced when covered in ice.
- Cold Immunity: Frost is immune to freezing cold temperatures.
- Vibrations: Vibrations are difficult (if not impossible) to freeze, as they cause her ice to shatter, making sound-based abilities an extremely effective counter to her ice powers.
- Moisture Levels: Frost's ice powers depend on the amount of moisture available in the air, dry areas make it difficult for her to create ice.
- Human: Despite her mutant powers, Frost's ice defenses aren't always up, and she is still human and as such is vulnerable to anything that would injure a normal human being.

- Frost's body temperature is naturally lower than a normal humans.
- Frost can often be found investigating various crime scenes around the city.
- She's an avid reader. Her apartment is full of enough books to give a library a run for its money.

- Her eyes gain an icy blue glow when she uses her powers.
