Born on the planet Sebara, located within the small magellionic cloud, to two tribal scions of the Massarai empire. Saun Lea Deyah Ka'am had a sheltered life never knowing that a brutal civil war raged across the rest of the empire. When she was just five years old the war finally reached her planet and her parents decided to send her away to the ancient world from which they came from.
She was put into a old warp tunnelling ship and sent to Earth where the ship malfunctioned and crashed in rural Pennsylvania. So traumatized by these events she supressed her memory of what had happened, and when PRIMUS arrived they found her catatonic. She was given into the care of Mikael and Vanessa Whitmoore, a husband and wife team of scientiests, who have adopted several other children with strange powers and origins. They became her legal guardians and she was given United States citizenship and a new name, Leah Whitmoore. While the Whitmoores were for telling her the truth of her origin, a PRIMUS scientist by the name of Zachary Armatage thought it best for her to never know.
Eventually she became more active and social, learning to read and write english from private tutors, but was not allowed to go to school since she still did not know how to control her ability to fly and spent most of the day floating around instead of walking. When she was ten the first signs of her other powers began to show, mostly in walls and furniture accidently blasted by force bolts. Leah's slightly older brother, Bradley, began to call her 'a hex' and the nickname while hurtfull stuck. Eventually her controll over her powers much greater by the time she was twelve and it was then decided she would have to attend highschool. More specifically The Matherson Academy for young metahumans, a private school created by PRIMUS in Montana.
It was at school she finally realised what a outcast she was, most the other students were mutants or psychics of some degree but she feel into another crowd of misfits. Her sophmore year some of the problem students ganged together and decided to boss everyone around, so Leah and her friends decided to do something about it. They called themselves the Supernaturals and decided to become the Schools official superhero team, unfortunately this did not work out as planned as in a fight with the gang of thugs and bullies Leah was struck with dark magic that caused latent powers to be released and in the end three buildings were burnt by her as well as some other tragic things happened to the other members of her team. The thugs were expelled and locked away in a special prison for juvenille supervillians though Leah was left mentally scarred by what happened.
After graduation she went to a community college where she meet a woman who taught her some magic and helped repair the mental damage that happened to her. After college she went home and tried to live a normal life, but it wasn't meant to be. She took up freelance crimefighting in Philidelphia for a year before decided to travel to see the rest of America. She ended up in Millenium City right before the Qularr attacked and saw the opportunity to prove herself a hero again.
Recently during a invasion by arcane imbued lycanthropes she contracted the curse which caused her more alien genes to become dominant. Through science and magic her friends were able to cure her but the shock awoke supressed memories as well as dormant powers. She now can change back and forth between her normal form and the more feral alien form at will though the transformation is painfull.
