History

Kiri is a Qliphothic succubus initially dragged into Earth's dimension through a VIPER program to explore and exploit parallel dimensions in the early 90s. There she was a test subject for experiments designed to extract her dark powers for use by VIPER.

Experimentation and Escape Attempts

Due in part to her being a fiercely uncooperative test subject, VIPER's experimentation resulted in few advances, and the deaths of multiple researchers and security personnel through her repeated escape attempts.

Four months after her capture, the facility was raided by heroes. In the chaos, Kiri slipped away, using her powers of deception to appear as an innocent human prisoner.

Criminal History

Kiri was known to have taken up residency in Millennium City from the time she escaped up until around 2005, when she mysteriously dropped off the radar.

During this time, she is believed to have committed a series of crimes including robbery, assault, vagrancy, drug and dealing, and arms smuggling. But to be clear, there are no murders of which she is or was a suspect.

Disappearance

Between 2005 and 2009, Kiri's location was unknown.

Sources indicate that an arms smuggling deal with a local criminal cartel had gone bad, and she likely created yet another alternate identity to escape the gang.

During this time, no criminal activity reports are strongly linked to Kiri's methodology, indiciating that she either changed her methods, or avoided criminal activity entirely to stay under the radar.

Qularr Invasion

In 2009, Kiri was spotted at the Qularr invasion of Millennium City, without any disguise or altered form, and carrying weapons similar to those that she was thought to commonly smuggle.

Her actions that day may have been entirely out of self-preservation, but several citizens are alive today directly due to her involvement.

Capture and Sentence

Kiri surrendered to the MCPD after the Qularr invasion.

It was found that Kiri's actions during the Qularr invasion, along wit the testimony of the citizens and other heroes present, were sufficient to warrant the suspension of her prison sentence for the crimes committed up until that point.

This suspended sentence came with multiple stipulations, including that she must register as a hero, and continue to work as a hero with a quota of work to fulfill. She must also turn in her weapons and keep her darker powers sealed away.

Violations of these would land her in prison with a sentence of multiple decades.

Flagrant Violations of Stipulations

It is believed that Kiri stores guns in something similar to a personal pocket dimension. This is probably what made her an effective smuggler for so many years.

She has been seen in public repeatedly wielding a variety of different guns and explosives. However, these weapons have never been found on an search of her person or place of residence. And reports are consistently found to be in-actionable.

Sabine

Within the last few years, Kiri's demeanor has changed from that of a violent demon-criminal to a person who is more calm and focused. The change seems to coincide with her meeting Sabine, another hero she is regularly seen with.

More observation is required to ascertain the nature of their relationship. Suffice it to say, they are suspected to be much more than friends.

Personality

Kiri is still, fundamentally, a violent, corrupting demon from the Qliphothic world. She harbors a disdain for figures of authority, and places her personal freedom above almost any other goal or ideal. She especially dislikes the MCPD, who were a continual thorn in her side during her years as a criminal, and only works with them because she is required to do so.

Having said that, since her relationship with Sabine, she has shown considerably more restraint in expressing those opinions, or acting in a way that endangers others. Sabine's presence has been a stabilizing force for her otherwise chaotic will.

Kiri is cocky and arrogant, but slowly learning to hold her tongue when appropriate.

For those she does become accustomed to, she can be warm and caring, in stark contrast to the way she treats the outside world.

She gets extremely nervous around celestial types.
