Birth

When Atsuko Takahashi found out she bore a child after being raped in an alley, she decided it was best to get out of Japan. However this child was more to Yakuza Shogun, the rapist, than a simple accident. He required his first born son, and followed. Smuggling herself into the country of United States, America, Atsuko made a deal with a well-known businessman. She was allowed to remain in America with her son, who was born in Mercy hospital, Detroit, and be protected, all the while he gained a heir to his multimillion global empire, Praelium Technology, Inc. This businessman was none other than James Bishop, CEO of one of the leading companies in developing battle technology. Yakuza, a man hungering for power, had made a deal with an arch-demon, that if he offered his first born son, he could gain an army of undead and the powers of a Djinn. Atsuko knew Yakuza had more plans for the junior Marcus, and he cursed her for it.

8:11 AM, 29 July, 1982, Mercy Hospital, Detroit -- Marcus Bishop is born.

Young Life

Marcus' childhood wasn't a cliched hard life. Having a rich father made life a breeze. Marcus' initial introduction to superhero-ism was when he was put into Ravenswood Academy, an expensive boarding school, North of Millenium City. He played Linebacker for the Ravenswood Blackbirds. Marcus was still relatively normal during this age. The only advantage he had was his rather exceptional muscle mass and length which led him to play Linebacker on the Varsity team during Sophomore, Junior and Senior years. Marcus was a popular good-looking kid during high school. He did struggle however, playing a sport like football alongside supers. During off-season, Marcus would turn to Track and Field. He was an excellent High Jumper and excelled at Pole Vaulting as well, both very acrobatic field items. As required by the school, Marcus was involved in two seasons of Sports, the Fall play and he was on the Honor Roll ending each academic semester. Marcus grew a lot during this time. Clearly the man was unaware of his Djinn heritage. During his high school year he grew until 6'11" tall, which is slightly taller than the average 18 y/o and he weighed in at 270lbs. Muscular and tall, Marcus' body was in peak physical condition. He was unable to pick up any fat, thanks to his mesomorph body type and Azure Djinn blood which greatly increased his metabolism's speed. His body was toned to peak athletic capability with a body fat percentage of just 8.85% during this time! This equals to mere 23.90lbs of fat in total on his body possessing an extremely muscular build, his lean body weight equaling 246.10lbs. This was calculated with the simple Naval Research tape measurement method. Ravenswood and Atsuko both helped Marcus master various kinds of weaponry, from katanas and throwing knives, to two-handed weaponry and hand blasters.

University

After getting his diploma from Ravenswood, Marcus moved on to Millennium City University, studying for a Master's Degree in Engineering as well as Minor Degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics. During this time, Marcus ended all sports, and concentrated on his studies and gym. For six years, Marcus remained at MCU, completing his degree. Marcus' dreams were simple, he wished to be the next Defender, the next human 'superhero'. During University, Marcus DID build his own power suit and fought as a vigilante known as The Provocator. Marcus' muscle mass increased greatly over the next 4 years. He picked up a total of 25lbs of weight and surprisingly managed to lower his BF% to an outstanding 6.67%! This means, his new lean body mass was at 275.33lbs as his the total amount of body fat he had equaled 19.67lbs, meaning he weighed in at 295lbs. To top this off, the first suit of The Provocator added another 75 lbs, making The Provocator a fast, big and very powerful enemy weighing in at around 370 lbs. During his time at MCU, Marcus lost his stepfather. The press were told he died on accord of an undiagnosed heart disease, what really happened is a frightening story to Marcus and his mother. A hooded man with white glowing eyes, horns and large wings entered the Bishop household during the darkest hours of the night and drove two golden swords through James' chest. Transportation

Marcus' main travel methods are his teleportation skills, flight and advanced acrobatics. Through practice he has taught himself to turn into a puddle of shadow as well as using wormholes from the void to get around.

As for other methods, Marcus owns a variety of cars and bikes, most acquired from advertising campaigns. Marcus owns the following:

• Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera

One of Marcus' favourite vehicles for special events. It's matte black in colour. Marcus kept the car completely stock to keep it's performance and rarity.

• Mercedes Benz SLS AMG GT3 Black Series

A car Marcus has reserved for track racing and track racing alone. He bought himself this car when he represented his own company on the track, Praelium Technology, Inc. He raced and came 4th for his first time. Later Marcus went on to win plenty of racing series around America. Including the Trans-Am series!

• KTM 1190 RC8-R

Marcus keeps this bike for two reasons. It's aggressive, angular and sharp looks, and it's sheer speed! As "old" as this bike is in the modern world of Millenium City, the aforementioned reasons make up for that.

• Praelium KNIGHT

A concept vehicle, designed by Marcus, for himself. Not street legal, Marcus usually uses this vehicle when he fighting as his alter ego, Obscurity. It's fitted with steel plating, ballistic Nylon and Kevlar as well as 2.0inch bulletproof glass. The tires are composed of Kevlar and Rubber, making them puncture proof as well as bulletproof. It's weaponized with Oil Slick, Hollow Caltrops, Missile Launchers and even a Gatling Gun. It's basically a car, fit for a superhero!
