Kelly's affinity for ice and snow goes back to her childhood, snowboarding and skiing on the slopes of the resort her parents owned. Her talents secured her a place in the Winter Olympics, and she was destined to be a star. After discovering her powers, though, she gave up on her Olympic career to become a superhero--not to mention it would have been too easy to cheat.
