Deep in the southern desert in Egypt, a mage by the name of Yasir Saab lives. Formerly a practitioner of the art of necromancy, something that's forbidden where he lives, he turned to the life of a scholar when his son, Rahat, was born. For fifteen years he, his son, and his wife lived in isolated peace. One day, when Rahat was out, exploring, he was found by one of his father's enemies--a man whose brother was raised as an undead servant for the man. Rahat was beset by the man, tortured for information. Yasir had sensed danger, and gone looking for his son. He seemed to have arrived in time, but as soon as the man saw him, he released his dog on the teen. It killed him before Yasir could act. The mage killed his enemy, but was left heartbroken at the loss of his son. He'd never been terribly outwardly affectionate with his family, but this event caused him to become even more distant. Only months later his wife left him.

It took almost a year, but Yasir was able to retrieve Rahat's soul. He created two organic constructs. One as a personal assistant, Huginn, and one as a safe vessel for his son's soul, Muninn. Huginn was a simple automaton, but Muninn, having the human soul, became his own being. Seeing this, Yasir sent him out. Despite the danger of the outside world, he knew it was better for the construct to be far from his enemies. Set out on his own, the griffin traveled for almost two years before he found himself in Millenium City. At first, he simply moved around the city, seeing the sights and enjoying the prime hunting spots. It wasn't long before he met a forest spirit that called himself Harper. The two soon became close friends, and for some time they would spend their time watching, and honking at the patrons of Caprice.

One of the people that caught the eyes of the two, was a man by the name of Irikol. A ruthless mob boss, who ended up employing them as spies. However, whereas Muninn easily trusts those who are nice to him, Harper was more wary, and when the raven was offered a position in the ranks of Irikol's mob, and accepted, his friend snapped at him. He believed it was too dangerous--and in the end, he'd be right. However, Muninn became afraid that he'd lose his closest friend. Giving his reasons to Irikol, he left the mob, not realizing this would bring the man's full wrath down on him.

As things degraded, and Muninn and Harper did their best to stay out of Irikol's way, Yasir had long been hard at work making a new human body for his son. He finally succeeded, and shortly after the raven returned as Rahat, now eighteen years old. There was a lot of explaining to do, but he seemed happy enough, and made new friends. One of them was a young demon named Violet, another ex-member of Irikol's mob. She quickly decided that she wanted to destroy him, and his gang, and unfortunately Rahat was pulled into the conflict. He was friends with Violet, but the fighting quickly became too much for the young man. He tried to back out, too late. Irikol had a grudge against him, and this was taken out on Harper, who was decapitated--though that would only keep him away for a few weeks. Still, Rahat was heartbroken, and believed he had nothing--and no one--left. Eventually, Irikol was defeated, only to release the man held back within his body, known as Adurant.

At first, Adurant acted unpredictable--almost crazy. He ended up killing Rahat when the young man tried to defend someone against him--however Rahat had already set up wards in case of such a situation, and his soul returned to Muninn--who'd been changed from organic to plush, to be more durable. So, the raven returned, and was subsequently made aware that Harper believed he had betrayed the fae, and that they were no longer friends. This was worse for the construct than Harper's "death."

It wasn't long, however, before the construct realized he could befriend Adurant--the man was, as it turned out, looking to live peacefully, and he was very close to Iriador, a good friend of Muninn's. With new friends, that became as close to him as family, he has new hope that everything will work out. Even when times get tough, he knows he can rely on his friends to help him through.

Though Muninn houses a human soul, it's mostly passive, so the most dominant parts of his personality are more akin to an animal. He's excitable, playful, and loves to cuddle or simply be in physical contact with his friends. He may not trust as easily as he used to, but he's easy to get along with, especially if he's offered petting and/or food. His emotions are very easy to read, as he's very vocal and uses body language quite a bit. Though he's quite passive, he easily picks up and is influenced by the emotions of others (unless they're well-hidden in voice/body language). He will act out against people who upset or annoy him, though he's a lot more bark than bite. He's not easily angered, but if his friends are threatened in any way, he's quick to step up to defend them, even at the risk of his own safety--or life. Because of his youth, both in body and soul, he tends to sometimes act with more emotion than forethought.

Muninn enjoys being with his friends, playing (mostly play-wrestling), cuddling, being pet, eating (even though he doesn't need to), preening and being preened, bathing/swimming, and studying magic. He spends a lot of time away from home, but feels safest in the home Rahat's father gave him, especially the study. It's an extensive library, with floor-to-ceiling bookcases, and everything he needs for studying and practicing magic. He enjoys having company over, as well, as long as he trusts the person. There are some people that he enjoys bothering, mostly by making various noises at them. There are few things he dislikes, most boiling down to people threatening, harming, or bothering his friends.

Rahat, who's now simply a different part of Muninn's self, tends to act as the raven's reason and intellect. He's calm, kind, and smart. Though, as he's still young, he's a bit inexperienced, and impulsive. He can be subject to pride, and because of the dominance of Muninn's personality, this can easily get them into trouble. At the same time, he's almost all talk, and is more likely to submit. Especially if he knows the other person is more powerful than him. He doesn't handle stress very well, and if he's sad he tends to mope, even brood. He doesn't usually enjoy being alone. He's quick to forgive, unless the other person has done him or a friend serious harm and shows no regret for their actions.

Rumble: Something like a growl, or even a purr. Either a defensive/agitated noise, or, when it sounds more like a purr, a content noise.

Grumble: Similar to when a person grumbles, it's a noise of irritation.

His other sounds are more just his imitations of other animals. His body language is easier to read, and usually won't need a guide. His emotions are also easy to read on his face, though he's not capable of more than very small changes to his expression.
