==Biography==
+
Josie Czertawa was a doctoral student toiling away in an academic backwater, studying the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akkadian_language Akkadian] language in the Classical and Ancient Studies department of Millennium University, when her advisor assigned her to translate some 2,000 unremarkable [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuneiform cuneiform] tablets.  Unknown to either of them, 47 of the tablets were the Memory of the Kings, documents created by [http://primusdatabase.com/index.php?title=Sargon Sargon the Great] which recorded and enshrined the memories and souls of the rulers of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nineveh Nineveh] across its 1600 year history.
+

+
Each king would invest themselves in their own tablet, achieving immortality in the minds of his successors.  As a protection against usurpers, the Memory of Kings would only bestow their knowledge upon a direct descendant of the royal line; by 2010 AD, around 39% of the population of North America could claim this distinction, but the ability to read Assyrian and Babylonian was much rarer.
+

+
The Kings were not entirely shocked by their manifestation after a 2400-year lapse; they had foreseen that the Memory of Kings might be hidden or lost, but had not expected such a radical leap in time.  After some initial culture shock, most of the Kings have accepted the situation.  (The kings of the brutal Neo-Assyrian Empire, especially Ashurnasipal II, are exceptions, insisting Josie build a new Mesopotamian empire.)  Choosing to overlook the difficulties of her sex and common birth, they taught Josie the secrets of the mind necessary for kingship: powers and knowledge passed down from the Sumerians, who had themselves been taught by the Lemurians.
+

+
As the telepathic superhero Nineveh, Josie's confidence has increased by leaps and bounds: aspects of her personality she's squelched for years can find free expression when she's hiding behind a mask.  She feels that because her powers came to her by chance, and were intended to be used for the good of the people, she owes it to the world to use them responsibly.

====Aspects====
+
*'''Voice of Forty-Seven Kings'''<br>The ancient kings of Assyria are all part of Nineveh's beings.  While they have their own individual goals, some have instructed her in the mystic secrets of the mind.  Others are less magnanimous.<br>
+
*'''These Powers Don't Belong To Me, They Belong To Everyone'''<br>Because her powers came to her by chance, Nineveh feels they belong to humanity in general, and will not use them selfishly.  She has little patience for those that do.<br>
+
*'''Alter Ego, Josie Czertawa: "I, uh, I study languages no one cares about anymore."'''<br>As Josie, Nineveh is awkward, self-effacing, and focused on her academic career.  Because of her firsthand experience with the Kings, she knows more of Akkadian and Sumerian than anyone alive, and has varying degrees of competence in other languages of the period.<br>Due to the effects of '''Shattered Psyche''', Josie is only partially aware of her own superheroic identity and the regal minds in her subconscious.<br>
+
*'''Alter Ego, Nineveh'''<br>As Nineveh, Josie's personality becomes more confident, brasher, and she is fully aware of all the patterns in her own mind.  She pushes Josie to overcome her own limitations, and keeps the kings in line through diplomacy.<br>
+
*'''Shattered Psyche'''<br>Nineveh's psyche was shredded after a battle with Psimon in Iraq.  Without the kings to put her back together again, she'd be permanently catatonic.  While Josie was mostly unaffected, Nineveh is still being reconstituted.<br>
