Matthew Danvers was only the age of 14 when he realized his powers. One day in California High School, Matthew was in gym class, trying to get his extra credit. The school bully, Jack, attempted to hurt Matt while he was hitting the punching bag. Matt dodged the blow from Jack, and retaliated with a punch of his own which knocked Jack back onto the wall. Puzzled by what happened, Matt ran out of the gym, into the school's yard and began to run home. While running, Matt saw that he could actually run at the speed of light and fly as fast as a comet. As Matt arrived home, he began to question his parents about what was going on with him. They told him that he has special abilities which he should use for the greater good. And the greater good is just what he used them for.<br>

They told him that he has 'special abilities' inside his genetics.
Matt wanted to go to a place where he could learn more about his 'special abilities' so his parents agreed on moving to Millennium City. A few days later, Matt and his father moved into an apartment in Westside while his mother and younger sister stayed in California. Matt's father got a job in Harmon Labs, the leading technological lab in the city. One morning while Matt was going to his new school, he realized that a person was being robbed by three goons. Currently:

Matt enrolled himself into Ravenswood Academy to have a better understanding of what he can really do. He fights crime with his partner, G-Girl, and he is a member of the Young-Champions. The adventures that Matt has had since moving have been great ones. He is still learning to use his power effectively and wisely in battle. Just remember, he isn't just a kid, he's Power Kid.

Equipment:

Power Suit: A suit that was designed by Matt's father, for the purpose of enhancing Matt's powers. The suit is also machine-washable. Matt also has a space suit to allow him to survive the unexplored and unchartered planets of space.
Communicator: Allows Matt to speak to anyone or hear any activity in the city. It also grants access to the Young-Champions' private communication network.
Hoverboard: Matt's father gave him a hoverboard that allows Matt to fly around the city with ease

Powers/Abilities:

Superhuman Strength: Matt can lift up to more than 50 times his own weight, deal powerful blows towards the opponent and resist incoming damage with his fists
Lightning Manipulation: Able to manipulate lightning into blasts and a shield to help himself in battle

Allies:

The Champions: The protectors of Millennium City. It consists of Defender, Witchcraft, Ironclad, Kinetik and Sapphire.
The Young-Champions: The team that he was recently recruited into for his skills. Not just a team, more like a family.
DJ Surge: A DJ that he met and talks to as frequent as he can. Met her at a party, after she laid down some killer beats
G-Girl: A powerful and smart cheerleader who is Matt's superhero counterpart. Not like they are dating...just fighting crime together, for now...

Enemies:

Armored Fist: A test subject for Project Fist, the science experiment that turned him into a mad, evil cyborg. He attempted to steal a Lemurian artifact from the Museum of Natural History, but Power Kid stopped him. Armored Fist did escape but Power Kid managed to place a tracking device on his left arm. Power Kid placed him into Westside Prison, where his gang broke him out. Power Kid is now on the lookout for Armored Fist so he can take him down and place him into Stronghold.
