Origin
One day in California, a Malvan ship crashed landed in a forest, with a man inside of it. Working on her scientific research nearby, a woman by the name of Teresa Danvers goes to investigate. She reaches the crash site when the man comes out of it, enraged with anger. He was one of the Malvan gladiators who fought for freedom after his planet was taken under siege. He fell to the ground in pain, since he was beaten up to the part where blood was all over his face. He said, "The fights. They never stopped. They never let us stop." Teresa replied, looking at him as she picked him up, "Who did this to you?" The man said, "The ones who took over my planet, Malva." Shocked to hear about these events, Teresa carried the man to her work site, where she got her assistant to tend to his wounds. The man was slowly recovering but still unsure of where he was, he asked Teresa to explain this planet to him. She explained that he crashed onto Earth, a planet where Humans inhabit and live in 'almost' harmony with animals and the plant-life. They began to develop a connection as they continued to speak and get to know each other better. Teresa gave him the name of Johnathan Danvers, which he liked since his name was too hard to pronounce. After 2 years, they got married and had a son whose name is Matthew Danvers.
Growing up wasn't easy for Matthew, not only because he was a combination of two different species but because he was having trouble at school with a bully. The bully would always take Matt's lunch money and beat him up, just for the fun of it. Until one faithful day, Matt had enough of this bully and he planned to teach him a lesson. He disregarded the words of his parents about 'not retaliating against those who hurt you' but Matt didn't care anymore. The bully confronted Matt and threw a punch at Matt, in gym class where he was 'allowed to' fight without getting into trouble. Matt carefully evaded the punch and retaliated with a punch of his own, which made the bully fly into the wall nearby and injured his back. That same day, Matt's parents were called in and they were angry with the reason why but they were even more enraged with themselves for letting their son go to a school where he could not learn how to use his powers. His mother was researching about a school in Millennium City, where they house and train superpowered children so that they would use their powers for the greater good. Saddened to hear the news of the transfer, Matt reluctantly packed his belongings to begin moving to Millennium and to his new school, Ravenswood Academy.
In Ravenswood, Matt made a few friends who had powers beyond his imagination. There were people with lightning powers, telekinetic powers and even some with powers similar to his own. They all had a nickname to call each other by and Matt's own was Power Kid, even though he hated the 'kid' part, but the name grew on him as he progressed in the academy. As time passed, Matt and his friends graduated from the academy's program, which allowed them to become their own heroes in the city. Matt took on the name of Power Sentry as he is more than a kid now, he is a young hero to Millennium City and his name must represent this. Standing for hope that the city will become a better place, Matt is now fighting to save the city from the clutches of evil.
Powers
Superstrength: Enhanced muscle strength, allowing him to lift heavy objects or deal powerful blows.
Durability: Resistant to attacks, with minor cell regeneration.
Space Adaptation: Meaning that his body can adapt to the cold reaches of space.
Flight: Flying is one of his favorite modes of transportation, which also happens to be one his powers.
Equipment
Powersuit: A suit that is made from some of the scrap of his father's ship that crash landed on Earth many years ago.
Comm-link: A built-in earpiece to the mask on the suit which allows 'chatter' to reach his ears.
Weaknesses
Magic: He's very weak when it comes to battling foes with magic, especially the dark magic.
Quick Tempered: You wouldn't want to tick off him as he gets angry very quickly, which poses as a weakness since he may just use out all of his power on one person.
Ignorance: Being heroic and all, he still acts very ignorant to what people tell him to do and not to do.
