About

Once a prominent member of the Maniacs gang in Westside, Princess Punish was kicked out of the group for being "Too crazy". She was just as likely to carve up her fellow gang members as she was her enemies and management was running out of willing bodies to carry out their schemes. Infuriated, she left to start her own gang, the "Purple Punishers", becoming immediate enemies with the Maniacs. Her brutal tactics, insane ideas and a thirst for chaos has left both civilians and other gangs in sheer terror.

Background

Born into a relatively wealthy Japanese family, Makoto Akiyama was raised in the lap of luxury. As a child she got everything she wanted and never went without. That all changed, though, after a lawsuit against Makoto's entrepreneur father left the family in a dire financial crisis. No longer able to afford their luxurious mansion in Kyoto, Makoto's family gave up their lavish lifestyle and moved to Millennium City, hoping to find luck in the land of opportunity. What they did find, though, was the cold streets and dirty slums of Westside where chaos and crime ruled. Unable to find a suitable job, Makoto's father fell into the seedy underworld of illegal drug trade and black market dealings to make ends meet.

Despite the family's situation, Makoto remained positive, attending school and working a part-time job at the local pizza joint to help out how she could. It wasn't enough, unfortunately and Makoto found herself dragged into the madness that plagued Westside.

Experimental chemicals left over from an abandoned industrial plant had fallen into the hands of the "Maniacs" gang, who used them as biological weapons in a growing war against the Red Banner. The fumes were powerful enough to kill a full-grown elephant and was useful in bringing the Banner to it's knees. One day, a fight broke out right in front of Makoto's apartment and escalated into an all out skirmish between the rival gangs. The Red Banner was gaining the upper hand, which made it the perfect time for the Maniacs to unleash their deadly weapon. The entire complex was covered in noxious fumes and many of it's residents failed to escape before they were overtaken. Strangely, Makoto herself was resistant to the chemicals and survived the attack that claimed the lives of the residents, including her own family.

The effects of the chemicals coupled with powerful grief at the loss of her family pushed Makoto over the edge. Her mind was shattered and she reverted to a near-feral stage of insanity. Though her body survived the attack, Makoto Akiyama was no more. What was left was an evil monster with a thirst for blood. Unable to remember who she was, Makoto took on the name "Princess Punish" and began her mad campaign against the city, starting with the concrete jungle of Westside. From humble begins as the Maniac's hunting dog to her rise to power as the leader of her own "Purple Punishers", Princess Punish has shot fear into both civilians as well as the other gangs that plague the streets. Her lust for blood and insane influence has made her one of the most fearsome crime lords in the city.

Personality

Having no memory of her life as Makoto Akiyama, Princess Punish has taken on a dark and terrifying personality. She's vicious, blood thirsty and totally crazy. She'll slice up her own gang members just as easily she would her enemies, making working for her a death wish. Only the bravest (or really stupid) dare make a deal with this devil, but those who remain on her good side are rewarded handsomely with anything from money to super-powerful illegal drugs.

There is no reasoning with the queen of chaos due to her fragile mind, but she is easy to outwit if you're unfortunate enough to meet her. She has a particular weakness to magic, having no real super powers of her own beyond primal rage. Technology also greatly confuses her, making her vulnerable to fancy gadgets and experimental weaponry.
