Biography

Salihah Asenath was born in Cairo (Egypt) in a decently wealthy family of traders. A lively and slightly rebellious child, Salihah liked to daydream and play outdoors, unlike most of her friends. She's the middle sister of three, the youngest being Amisia and Merit the eldest. Salihah restless curiosity fed a growing passion for mysteries and ancient history that never ceased, 'till her university days. Despite her father's pressure (who wanted her to enter into the fashion and modeling business) she decided to study Archeology in London, later graduating as one of the top students.

When she moved back to Cairo to join a research on the Valley of the Kings, she faced several problems with her family, whom she didn't share the same values with. She decided to dedicate her entire self to her job, her true vocation.

Queen Tut Origins

She dived into further studies of the Amarna period, one of the most mysterious and controversial in ancient Egyptian history. Her studies took her to an incredible discovery regarding the mysterious death of Tutankhamun and an artifact that had been hidden close to where Akhenaten (his father) should have been buried (even though his mummy was never found). The artifact she recovered was called The Radial Stone of the Aten, according to the inscription. Whoever binds his will to the Stone achieve powers according to their ambitions. Some became kings, others became vicious and ruthless. Sarah deciphered several papyrus sheets, buried together with the Stone. She found about secrets that historians would give their lives for, some of which too dangerous for everyone's good.

She decided to guard the Stone, to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. She bound her will to it, following the same ritual Akhenaten performed to become Pharaoh, described in the very same papyrus sheets she found. She named herself after the Pharaoh who died to protect the Stone his father left for him: Tutankhamun.

Appearance

Salihah is a rather tall woman in her mid 20s. She shows the typical traits of her race: black straight hair, tanned skin and green eyes. As Queen Tut, she wears a metallic padded suit of a custom-made fabric that protects her from the sun in the desert, but also from the chills of European winters. Other than her suit, her appearance as Queen Tut remains unchanged, with the exception of her pupils, that turn golden yellow. She says it's an effect caused by the Stone, whenever she calls its power onto herself.

Personality

She's often serious and calm, talks quietly, with her low voice tone and slight British accent, only mildly "polluted" by her native Egyptian Arabic. She's kind mannered and friendly, at times introverted and solitary. She gives great value to team work and common goals. Even though the Stone is her own burden, she sees greed and vicious ambition as threats to be stopped by all. Her friends' enemies today could become her own enemies tomorrow, so she never retreats when facing potential criminals.

Her weakness is perhaps an excessive impulsiveness and curiosity, often mistaken as bravery. She tends to put herself into trouble rather often by facing problems before evaluating their magnitude.

She's very resolute and determined, but at times slightly stubborn. She doesn't like to "bend the rules", especially when they represent her own values. She can be very diplomatic and rational most of the time, but this very same lucidity and "coldness" makes her occasionally ruthless against villains she faces, like a firm judge who applies the law without further questioning.

Secret Identity

Queen Tut's true identity isn't a secret to her close friends and people she truly trusts. Although, she decided to move to Millenium City, where nobody knows her and would not pay attention to the similarities between her and her more popular alter-ego Queen Tut. She prefers to keep her identity a secret as much as possible.

Powers

Her abilities are drawn from the Stone itself, that Queen Tut once described as a "power vessel", not the true source of power. According to the legend it is believed that the Stone draws its energies from the Sun itself, the Aten. Although it's unknown whether this is true or simply a myth. Most of the powers Queen Tut displays aren't related to fire nor radiations, as one would expect from an energy source like a star. She calls her abilities "Mystical energy". She's able to channel them in a way to either harm or heal.

She doesn't need to carry the Stone on herself for it work, and she's unwilling to reveal its current location. Since she's bound her will to it, she can summon its powers onto herself anytime.
