Rage
From PRIMUS Database

Rage is part Hulk, part Bruce Banner, part Dr. Jekyl, part Mr. Hyde! A tribute to the Incredibe Hulk Comics and the traditional fairy tales of Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde both, Rage is a man trapped between two worlds -- the curse of the monstrosity that resides within him, and the simple, caring human being with modest anger issues.

Working under Sir Charles Crowley, the head of ION, and their lead R&D physicist and doctor, Dr. Brock "Bones" Benchley, Nick is currently not affiliated with any superteam.
Friends and Family
Outside of his family, Nick has problems making friends -- there is one woman he considers a friend, though.
- Velvet Revolution: Jordan is a friendly, albeit eccentric vampire who Nick has become acquainted with. He isn't sure what to make of her yet, but at least she's a pretty face.
Enemies and Opposition
Aside from enemies he's made out of criminals and villains in his daily line of work, no one has yet declarde the hero as their mortal enemy. It seems as though there are a lot of aforementioned criminals and villains that want his head on a plate, but none have been able to claim it yet.
Physical
Appearance
Though not so beautiful as to break mirrors, the five foot ten, hundred-something pounder male could be considered ruggedly handsome. With his dark hair accenting his fair skin tone and green eyes, many would say he's at least moderately attractive, though beauty is in the eye of the beholder. His hair isn't combed, maybe brushed by hand, and he persistently looks as though he hasn't shaved or slept in a couple of days -- though he does smell of what may be cologne or a pleasant body wash, a vanilla accent that smells quite delicious.
Appearance of Rage Form
Seven and a half feet of wicked spikes and taut titan's muscles, the blood red-skinned monstrosity peers around with intelligent, aware feral yellow eyes. These orbs glow in darkness, illuminating the black marks on his face like the ones along his body. His upper body seems so heavy that even he has to slouch to support himself.
Personality & Mentality
Friendly and personable, if not a bit awkward due to worries that he might suddenly transform into a violent monstrosity at any given moment, Nick is an intelligent, but wary individual. He is quite modest and seems very down-to-earth even for being an up-and-coming hero; though he is becoming notorious for both collateral damage and effectively putting down the bad guys, he gives all the credit to Rage.
Personality/Mentality of Rage Form
Rage is practically another person -- albeit instinctual and animalistic -- entirely. Though still capable of very basic, rudimentary English, Rage is a warhead made of pure anger that is just waiting to go off. Fortunately, he is lucid enough to direct it at criminals and supervillains. He has a distinct, seething hatred for violent crimes, known to practically turn rapists, murderers and child molesters into gelatin. However, he isn't a hypocrite, and does not kill on purpose -- though with his level of strength and fury, the occasional death does occur.
Powers & Abilities
He only has powers in his Rage form; if caught as a normal human, he is only as strong and durable as any other human being.
Might
He hits like a mac truck propelled by a tank cannon, able to put out several tons of pressure per average strike, and is currently able to lift two and a half tons of weight -- several times his own body weight. Since his bones and muscles are so dense and heavy, he is incredibly resilient to injury and resistant to pain.
Travel Methods
He is not just 'top-heavy', as he's got a lot of muscle going on in his legs, too! He can push his leg muscles to run extremely fast and jump incredibly high.
Super Jumping
Though he can't fly, nor is he a bird or a plane (or Superman), he can leap tall buildings in a single bound, able to scale incredible heights by jumping.
Super Speed
Though not as fast as a speedster, he can outrun pretty much any car on the modern market, which is handy for catching criminals in a jacked getaway vehicle. Generally, once he gets moving, it's difficult for him to slow down... he only goes faster!
Weaknesses and Limitations
- Only Human in Human Form: He can be killed even as Rage, but he is hundreds of times weaker as Nick.
- Bright Lights: Rage's eyes are incredibly sensitive, to the point that blindingly bright lights can, well, blind him and damage his eyes.
- Berserking: If he ever fails to take the antidote he needs to remain lucid as Rage, he will go berserk. This is really, really not good for him or anyone around him.
Equipment
Aside from a set of shackles that will lock down and attempt to restrain him if he goes berserk, he always carries more than enough of the antiserum to stop himself from going berserk.
Summarized History
((OOC Note)) Pretty much public information at this point.
A volunteer test subject called upon by ION lead R&D scientist "Dr. Bones", Nick went in to test a new medicine, the 'Tranquility Serum' -- the all-curing antidote that could give a regular human regeneration for lost tissue, limbs, extremities and organs. All seemed as though it would go well, but an oversight in the serum's formula caused the medicine to go haywire on Nick's DNA, mutating him into a hulking monstrosity of muscle, anger and protruding bone structures. Causing his bones to become incredibly denser than metal and his musculature to inflate with raw power, dragging him down to basic levels of speaking and feeling. However, he retained most of his intelligence, albeit in a more feral manner of intellect. Bones had to develop an antiserum to control Nick's new mutations; the serum bonded itself as a mutation in his DNA, similar to a malignant cancer, and now causes him to become Rage if provoked so much that strong emotions overcome him, or if his blood thins too much and he is overtaken by the remnants of the serum.
Trivia, Rumors and Miscellaneous
Trivia
- Nick's favorite drink is a neat glass of Jack Daniels. Unfortunately, he can't drink much -- alcohol thins the blood and lets the always-there Tranquility Serum overcome him, forcing him to become Rage.
- A lot of Nick's money goes straight from his pocket and into repairing damage he causes around the city as Rage.
- Nick is practically carnivorous, living on a diet of red meats, poultry, fish, milk, and orange juice. Proteins and Vitamin C and D help keep Rage at bay.
OOC Trivia
((Rage is a Hulk tribute as much as he is a tribute to Jekyl and Hyde!))
((Rage is my only 'true' hero, as all my other characters are antiheroes and anti-villains. Though, he is borderline antihero...))
((Rage's color scheme was originally going to be orange and white, but he looked too much like a cremesicle.))
Rumors
They say...
...that Rage served time for accidentally murdering some criminals when he first became Rage.
...that Nick would give anything to be totally human.
...that Bones is stirring up something that might help Nick out.
Thoughts and Opinions from Outside Sources
((Here is section for IC thoughts and opinions on Rage. Add away!))
((RPHooks))
- Rage causes a lot of collateral damage if forced to fight in city/urban environments. People like to try to pin this on him.
- ION lead R&D physicist Dr. Bones can supply the "Serenity" antiserum to any hero who needs to control their anger.
- Nick was a volunteer blood donor and tester of the Tranquility Serum. He showed up a lot at hospitals to donate his blood until he became Rage.
- Nick is looking for an anger management class that will actually take him. So far, they've all been too afraid he'll turn into Rage mid-course.
