Creators Notes

Yes. Spider-Kid does have many similarities with Spider-Man (Spider-Sense, Death of a loved one etc.) I honestly didn't expect him to get to a level higher then 20 and can't wait til hes 40. Most people expect Spider-Kid to be a mini Spider-Man which is why i don't type in the Zone Chat of CO, the color scheme of the character is Red, black, and white because he is (or was) mostly active at night and the costume was designed for stealth. I am a currently trying to get Vine or Energy Swinging for the character because I'm kinda tired of the grappling hook anyway I hope you enjoy reading his lengthy page here and leave a comment for the page in the comments section or in the Discussion. Lastly for anyone who would like to submit any artwork please leave a comment in the Discussion before posting a pic on my page without permission.

NOTE: Spider-Kid's origins have been retconned meaning that this "old" information never happened being that he was Spider-Kid and not the new Red-Arachnid, but I will continue to keep it up so everyone can see his origins both Pre and Pro. The real reason I'm retconning Spider-Kid is because I never really played as War-Spider and being that one of my friends has left Champions Online to play Star Wars: The Old Republic. I'd figure he wouldn't mind if I had his Red-Arachnid title become a legacy.

Upon Brian Smith becoming the new Red-Arachnid, I have fallen in love with the character. Brian has become more of the detective spider hero I always wanted him to be, during Brian's time as Spider-Kid he did the most tremendous things for a thirteen year-old but as Red-Arachnid, Brian had grown into a more Tim Drake kind of character where he likes to analyze things and plan and be wary of his surroundings. Tim Drake is my all out favorite Robin out of the Batman Mythos because he reminds me of a junior Batman and I love how he likes to analyze and scan his environment before acting, it shows the clever side of the character instead of being more impulsive and acting out of anger most of the time. Its because this I incorporated some of Tim's attributes into Brian Smith because it shows how much I really love this character.

Birth of a Hero

Young Brian Smith was born with spider-like powers, he wanted to tell his parents, but he was scared they would send him to some mutant school for the gifted that's when he saw Red Spider swing by and remembered he was also born with spider powers and look at him he's become friends with famous heroes like Caliga, but all Brian wanted to do was live a normal teenage life. While he was walking to school in Westside he saw the New Purple Gang harassing a couple shop-owners making a quick makeshift costume he stopped the New Purple Gang and one shop-owner refered to him as Spider-Kid which would soon become his new hero alias later that day he went home to tell his parents until he heard that his dad was shot down in Westside after he didn't participate in Kevin Poe's recruitment run, Brian then makes a red and blue costume and heads down to Westside to avenge his father's death after defeating Kevin Poe and turning him over to the police Brian vowed to protect Millennium City as Spider-Kid.

Learning Curve

After becoming Spider-Kid, Brian is trained by Red Snake in martial arts this later improves Brian's speed and agility making him a tough oppenent villians can get their hands on, Brian plans on joining some kind of group of heroes that can help him against the forces of evil, but no groups will accept and inexperienced hero so Brian currently works in Westside as a solo hero, but other than that Brain is okay with that all he really cares about is getting the job done in his free time Brain like to hang out in the famous Ren Center playground of Millennium City's most Mightiest Heroes and watch duels between other heroes, Brian will become a spectacular superhero one day, but you know what they say "if your gonna start somewhere, start at the bottom".

A Giant Rhinoceros in Millennium City?!?!?!?

A brilliant engineer named Aaron Carter worked on Monster Island trying to control the rampaging manimals that roam the vast land, until his lab was raided by the one who caused the manimal outbreak in the first place, Dr. Moreau the mad scientist convinces Aaron that even if this manimal crisis is stopped he won't be the one congratulated it will be those cursed heroes, Aaron eventually takes a moment to think about and he couldn't believe it even if the crisis is over the heroes would get a statue of them in the city while he just gets a pat on the back and a "good job" compliment, Moreau hands Aaron a serum which holds the DNA of a rhino and by drinking the serum Aaron will become the one thing in the animal kingdom that is unstoppable and in the end Aaron drinks the serum.

The Unstoppable Rhino!!!

Brian Smith, 14 year old teen that's not a care in the world for some people but that changes on March 15 when the Rhino raids a museum for its Lemurian artifact Brian suits up and heads over to the museum where he notices the face of the rampaging rhinoceros its his dad former collogue, Aaron, Brain tries to convince Aaron to stop but the serum that made him this way has taken full control and now Aaron Carter is no more there is only Rhino! a tear comes to Brian's eye that leaves him no other choice to stop the rampaging behemoth and save the innocent civilians Brain is thanked by everyone and leave Brian asking "What happened to you, Aaron?"

Love Interests

((Pre-Retcon))

OOC Note: The relationships below are love interests when Brian was still Spider-Kid BEFORE the retcon that turned him into Red-Arachnid.

  • Yellowjacket: Spider-Kid met Yellowjacket when he temporarily joined Bugcorp after spending many months fighting crime and earning the trust of PRIMUS and UNTIL, Yellowajacket was a rich girl who really confused Spider-Kid for how she was dating him,and (almost) ordinary boy but her only reason for why she dated him was because he was cute and sweet. The two dated for a short while before Yellowjacket moved out of Millennium City.
  • Allykat: Allykat was originally just a girl named, Ally Santora and she just loved cats, wither they were Tiger, Lions, Cheetahs, Panther, Jaguars etc. But when her father decided to test a cat-related mutagen on Ally she would soon find that the mutagen would give her amazing cat-like speed, agility, and super smell. Seeing how Ally now possessed cat powers she saw she no longer needed her father and ran away along with her new abilities. After fleeing from home Ally took up a life of crime as Allykat when she was about to rob the National History Museum for a priceless cat idol The Tremendous Spider-Kid dropped in and stopped her and it was love at first sight (for Allykat).

Spider-Kid and Allykat fought after stunning and knocking the hero unconscious she lifted his mask giving him a slight kiss before fleeing, luckily Spider-Kid was able to leave the scene before the police showed up, loosing the catgirl Spider-Kid swung back home as a shadowed girl watched saying "I can't wait to get my claws on that little spider". Thus began the on again off again relationship between the two lovestruck teens.

((Post-Retcon))

OOC Note: The relationships below are love interests Brian is in/or yet to be in NOW as the new Red-Arachnid.

New Gear

Knowing his adventures will get more tricky and dangerous, Brian Smith takes advantage of his part-time job at the Mods & Fusion Store in Renaissance Center. Brian synthesizes a new Questionite-coated webbing and web shooters along with the developing of a new suit.

rightcenter

Finally the new suit is complete ((Loosely based off Superior Spider-Man's)) Brain's new suit features red and black and has abandoned the white he has even created a backpack that can be used to carry his clothes and extend spider-like legs to enhance his speed of wall-crawling, finally he has web-devices that stand on the outside of his costume instead of in and the webs are now coated with Questionite making them unbreakable.

That Retcon, Though!

In December 2013, Spider-Kid's Origins, Powers, and Background has been retconed. Brain Smith isn't born a mutant and he never becomes "Spider-Kid" he becomes the new Red-Arachnid living up to his predecessor's legacy.

New Beginnings

Brian Anthony Smith is a young lad with more than meets the eye. Often he is thought of as a just a guy with no friends and no life some people often like using him as the butt of a joke, but of course like most teens would do Brian ignored the constant foul jokes because while the guys got in trouble and thrown in jail and the girls continuing to be stuck-up, high maintenance, and always wanting to date the "bad boy". Brian continued to do good in school hoping that when he graduates those guys and girls that made fun of him would soon reek what the sow.

One day after school Brian went to Harmon Labs to see the unveiling of a wormhole generator that is capable of traveling between other worlds and dimensions. Brian's curiosity got the best of him and he winded wandering the halls of one of the most powerful corporations on the world, Brian eventually stumbled upon a room that contained a mix of different animal DNA turns out Harmon Labs was testing a new super-soldier serum called, Gene-7. Picking up a vial of what looks to be spider DNA Brain got frightened when he heard a couple of scientist's voices and winded dropping the container that held the spider DNA on the floor.

Brian hid under a desk within the room after the scientists heard a noise come from inside once they left Brian made a run for it before tripping and falling on the broken shards of glass of the container he dropped earlier. What Brian didn't know that his blood was now exposed to genetically-altered spider DNA which he would wind up paying the price for.

Birthright

Brian went home that same day while a scientist back at Harmon Labs named, Jackson Foreman discovered that the vial of spider DNA was broken and went back to his lab to see if any video footage was captured apparently footage of Brian destroying and later falling on the broken shards of glass that contained the spider DNA surprised Jack and later performed some forensics to find if Brian at least shed some blood. Eventually finding some of Brian's DNA he examined it and saw that boy was born, like as if it were his birthright, to be exposed to the untested super serum used on the spider DNA sample. This later inspired Jack that maybe this new super-serum is ready for human trials and decided the next person it should be tested on. Was himself.

Empowered

Brian woke up the next morning with his alarm clock ringing pressing the button to disable it he noticed that it stuck to his hand, immediately jumping out of his bed while also being frightened from him mom's voice to get dressed for school caused Brian to jump onto the the ceiling of his bedroom sticking like as if he were a Human Spider. Brian was able to put two and two together finding out that by the possibly genetically-altered spider DNA entering his open cut wounds from the glass he cut his arm on caused a change in his body it was then Brian knew he had acquired super powers, or in this case spider powers.

Along Came a Spider, named Spider-Kid

On one cold night Brian put on his ski mask and some goggles and a hat and went down to Westside where he would test out his newfound powers. While in the middle of his "training" Brian heard a man in a mask just robbed a store that was when Brian thought maybe now was the time to put his powers to the test and apprehend the burglar. Every night Brian went out in his makeshift suit trying to find the burglar that robbed the convenience store he then dubbed by the local newspaper, "Spider-Kid" and asking questions is he good or bad? Eventually Brian did find the burglar and chased him down but when he lost him in a dark alley Brian heard a gunfire and when he found the victim of the fatal gunshot it was father, Daniel Smith he happened to be walking through the alley after going grocery shopping and used the alley as a shortcut to his car. Brian soon unmasked himself to his dying father saying "Its me dad. I'm Spider-Kid the vigilante everyone has all been talking about." Brian remembers shedding a tear on that night and his father's last words were "Brian...B-B Man I'm proud of you, but with every battle comes a cost. Go do what you do best. Protect. Go son go get that....m-man...... Brian soon cried before throwing his mask back on and chasing after the burglar turned murderer. Brian eventually caught up with him and cornered him at the Westside Docks.

Crime Doesn't Pay

Brian cornered thug at Westside Docks repeating several times "Murderer, Murderer, Murderer" Before kicking the burglar's gun out of his hand and beating him till he had a broken jaw and nose. Right when Brian was about to deliver the final blow holding the criminal by his shirt collar Brian's body discharged a large amounts of yellow bio-electric energy which left Brian in stunned state while the thug went into cardiac arrest before finally dying. Checking his pulse Brian noticed he was dead and he accidentally killed him, but thats not what the police with think. Fleeing the scene to cry about the death of his father, Brian thought about his fathers final words about how he should do right and "Protect" it was then Brian would become a superhero using his powers to help people and to never kill since his new power of bio-electricity killed the man who killed his father.

The Final Hours of Richard O'Reilly (The First Red-Arachnid)

Elsewhere in Downtown, Millennium City the superhero known as Red-Arachnid has been shot and is currently fighting against The Superior 7 he has defeated most of the members except for Hell Demon, the Orange Goblin of Mayhem. Brian hears the report from the TV he has on in his room he watches the fight unfold and watches a battered and beaten Red-Arachnid get his butt kicked. Brian not having time to put on the ski mask to go help just grabs his jacket and jumps, climbs, and leaps all the way downtown. Red-Arachnid now with most of his mask tattered and gone everyone who has gathered to see the fight knows that Richard O'Reilly is Red-Arachnid. With several choke slams to the concrete Richard is on his finally leg, using the last of his spider strength Richard picks up a tanker truck and throws it at Hell Demon killing him before giving an evil smirk knowing that Red-Arachnid is on his last leg and is about to die. Finally Richard drops to his knees and dying saying that "Hell Demon may have been successful in killing me, but I came out victorious in saving everyone else." Richard then dies and Brian gets there too late unable to use his own spider powers to help and probably even save Richard.

The Web-Suit

It is has been an entire month since Red-Arachnid's death at the hands of Hell Demon. Brian has since then still been operating as Spider-Kid and still wearing his horribly crafted homemade "costume". One day while fighting a gang of techno-wizards calling themselves, The Gadgeteers, Brian attempted stop their plot of robbing a hidden laboratory full of super-computers and cybernetics. Brian managed to stop them from breaking down the doors of the hidden laboratory but didn't expect to shot with a dart loaded with poisonous nanobots that were both disabling his regenerative healing factor and rendering his spider powers making him powerless after a few seconds Brian blacked out. Waking up in a warehouse full even more technology, Brian had found that someone had saved him and cured him of the deadly nanobots in his blood that was when he met, The Inventor, The Inventor was man of science for years and when he saw Brian in his horrible predicament he had his robot servants receive Brian's body and bring back here for him to cured while in the meantime he constructed what he called, The Red-Arachnid Nano-Suit, or "Web-Suit" for a much more simple name to call it. The Inventor later gave Brian the suit saying "If your gonna be a hero, your gonna need a costume and not just a shirt and ski mask". Donning the costume Brian then set out to apprehend the Gadgeteers and later turned them in and when a cop asked Brian "Who are you?" Brian replied with "I'm Red-Arachnid. The NEW Red-Arachnid" right before fleeing the scene. Thewebsuit.png

The New Red-Arachnid

Now that Brian has his suit, name, and slight mastery of his powers his is set to become a superhero. Elsewhere PRIMUS has noticed the rise of this new "Red-Arachnid" and tend to apprehend him thinking that his is a clone of Richard O'Reilly, sending out female clone-now-agent-of-PRIMUS, Arachna-Woman, Red is tracked down and brought in for questioning about how did he get his spider powers. Brian soon explains he got them months before Richard's death and initially used them to be a street hero named, Spider-Kid, after explaining his origin Brian was told that if he was going to be a masked vigilante he had to register his identity with the American Superhuman and Paranormal Registration Act (ASPRA). After registering and later befriending Arachna-Woman, she soon allowed Brian to wear the title of Red-Arachnid as long as he promised to not screw up and take everything as a game, swearing on his promise it was then Brian finally became the official, and all-new Red-Arachnid.

Joining Nexus Force

Brian Smith. New to the whole superhero biz and Brian thinks its about time he join a superteam of some kind before he gets himself killed, that was when he heard of the Nexus Force, a new superteam that is led by the former leaders of Titan-Institute, Night Spider and Network. Brian decided to put in an application to join, which was accepted and Brian was now officially apart of Nexus Force.

Nexus Force: The Orion Crisis

((Full Story can be Read here: Nexus Force: The Orion Crisis))

Brian Smith aka Red-Arachnid was apart of the handful of heroes that participated in the Orion Crisis. Brian attended the WCOC ARC Interview. The ARC was a powerful device that can link all response systems, internet sources, cameras and any other mainframes into a single large service and response network, it was created by James Parker, a well known philanthropist and head of Parker Technologies and Lawrence Materdore, inventor and head of the former Materdore Industries before having Parker Technologies and Materdore Industries merge into Parker-Materdore Dynamics in mid-2013.

Brian first was seen in the audience press conference and later disappeared in the conference after party a strange man claiming to be from the future came to stop the ARC device from being activated he soon arrived too late and hate to fight off fending Nexus Force members along with the newest member, Red-Arachnid. Red-Arachnid and other heroes went into time-raveling event to stop the ARC device from being activated and launched into Earth's atmosphere but was later left with a choice to either stop the ARC or Orion, a mechanical monstrosity that proved unbeatable. The heroes of the newly formed Nexus Force later stopped Orion and traveled back to Champions Earth where they all went their separate ways and later that following night they all have the same peculiar dream.

They are in a room, pitch black with nothing but a think fog in the air, they cannot move nor speak, but only watch and listen. An old woman dressed in white robes appears before them, her face hidden by darkness. She speaks out, her voice echoes through the room.

"Welcome, heroes. You have indeed been successful in your mission. And now I will bestow upon you the fate you have created for your world." Through the mist you see visions, three are depicted. The world of 2035, still lies as a barren wasteland, the second and third depict Millennium City in present day, although one is more damaged than the other, The White Woman speaks again. "Your actions have split these dimensions asunder, while you have saved this reality, the one from which Orion spawned from was already separated and will not change, yet. However the two present timelines are virtually the same, however one was more damaged in death tolls and destruction. Now that you have defeated Orion, I will merge these two timelines into one, undoing most of the damage and death caused. But not all will be saved." She holds the two earths in her hands, and slowly brings them together as the entire earth experiences a phenomena akin to The Northern Lights, before a blue flash ends the lightshow.

"It is done. And now for your future. The fate of your world will forever remain unknown, as there are constant choices and struggles that will forever change time itself. But I will leave you with what lies ahead now."

The woman's eyes glow a bright blue as her voice echoes even more.

"It is true that you have saved this day, however your eternal fight for good has not ended. It is a fact, that Orion is not vanquished. His injuries will take time to recover, but he will return with a vengeance, when that is no one can say. But in Orion's place will stand new challenges. The Nexus Force will continue to prosper, however the future of Lawrence Materdore is blurred. You will cherish new friends, and mourn those lost. You will witness the rise of new threats, and the return of old ones. The world of 2035 remains unchanged, however Orion's defeat will spark a new resistance that will see the survival of the human race. The past, present, and future is at peace, for now." "You must always remain vigilant, as the very thing that brought Orion and The Arachni to this dimension is still active. And more danger awaits in the vast reaches of time and space. You will make choices that will forever change Nexus Force, for good or otherwise. For you are heroes, and your every action, and non-action spells the fate of yourself and the world around you. Go now, and may the light be with you."

The vision ends and the heroes awaken.

Red-Arachnid: Exiled

One Year Ago....

Its a warm, muggy, and damp night in Millennium City and Brian Smith also known as Red-Arachnid is having a bad day and nothing seems to be going right with him. Several hours earlier, the neighborhood Red-Arachnid is usually most commonly spotted in, Rivertown, had fallen victim to a full-scale gang war and the prisoners, killers, crooks, robbers and thieves are all rioting throughout neighborhood injuring many innocent people, shop-owners, and the police are too overwhelmed to deal with it all at once as well as a villain new to Red-Arachnid has surfaced claiming that he knows Red's real name and recommends that he should: "Leave the crime-fighting to adults. Kids could really get hurt in this business". Red-Arachnid is only 16 years old when this is all going on and he is already having trouble keeping his cool since the original Red-Arachnid was 16 when he died and Brian if he doesn't watch his step he'll find himself in a similar situation.

Red-Arachnid swings down to Rivertown and will try his best to see if he can do something about the gang war but he can't. Brian is quickly overwhelmed, no way are these killers going to stop everything their doing so they can be feared by this one "kid" when there's many other high-profile heroes like Nighthawk out there who has a better chance of stopping them then Red-Arachnid. Red is hit in the head with a lead, metal pipe and is stunned Red isn't still fully aware of his danger-sense and thus took a pretty hard blow which knocked him off his feet. Dazed and confused Red is confronted by a masked man in a Kabuki mask and a long black trenchcoat calling himself, Masako which is Japanese for "Justice". Masako apparently is like most villains in Millennium City, he hates superheroes especially teenage ones who don't know their place and what makes Masako special to Red is that he claims to have been watching him for many months now and claims to know his secret identity and he should probably get home while he still can. Behind the mask of Red-Arachnid is a face of fear, worried, and emptiness what could Masako possibly mean by "get home while he still can?" and then Brian figures it out and he drops a smoke bomb and swings out of Rivertown and heads back to City Center while Masako laughs a wicked laugh Brian can still hear from 3 stories up in the sky: "HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!". Brian arrives at home and he finds his home, on fire and his mom is pinned under a support beam from their attic and as Red-Arachnid Brian saves his mother and gets her to safety and goes deeper inside his own burning home to find his younger sister, Jessica and finds her underneath their kitchen table, dead still clutching her favorite teddy bear Tubby, she didn't even get a chance to run. Behind Brian's mask is now sadness, disappointment, and despair his own sister that he always promised his mom since he was 10 years old that he would always protect, wasn't there to protect her this time even with fancy spider powers. He brings out Jessica's dead body and Brian's mom runs up to him snatching her daughter's body from him clutching it hoping shes still alive but she feels that there is no heart beat, no pulse, no anything. Jessica is dead and Brian, the Red-Arachnid has been charged with her death and a warrant for his arrest has been issued out to all the police stations in Millennium City.

Brian has lost everything now. His father, home, heroic identity and now his own sister. Brian vows to find Masako and get his revenge and thats what he exactly does he spends the next few weeks tracking down Masako and eventually uncovers his hideout on the other side of the city, Morningstar. Swapping into a black stealth suit, Brian infiltrates the base of the madman that killed his sister, destroyed his home and nearly killed his mother Brian stealth take-downs all of Masako's henchmen and finally breaks through his office door knocking the two guards on the other side out cold with two knuckle sandwiches as if they were nothing and he grabs Masako by hi through and lifts him in the air shouting, screaming at him: "WHY?!?!?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO KILL HER?!?!?!" and Masako just laughs saying that being a hero comes at a cost you have to learn that people are eventually going to die even if those people are the ones that are close to you just like little Jessie. Brian smashes Masako's head against the concrete wall of his base and Masako just shrugs if off dapping the back of his head and looking at the blood: Violent much?" and Brian continues to beat the living hell out of Masako eventually shattering his mask before stopping to say: "Wait! Shes not dead." and Brian replies with: "What are you talking about?" You mean...?" and Masako looks up to Brian and says: "Yes, shes in that closet over there." and he points to a nearby closet "I kidnapped her many weeks prior to my appearance and made an exact duplicate in her place in an attempt to drive you mad." says Masako. Brian looks in the closet and finds his sister bound and gagged and right before he can take in the sweet relief, Masako blows up the entire base killing him and seemingly Brian and Jessica too, but Brian reemerges in a tattered costume and Jessica protected by a prototype holographic shield Brian had constructed for later use in his adventures. Jessica sees Brian's tattered mask and sees that he is the new Red-Arachnid and says: "Brian. You're Red Spider?" and Brian just replies with a chuckle and says: "It's Red-Arachnid, Jess and I'm going to take you home alright and you tell mom everything that happened except me being Red-Arachnid" Jessica is confused and says: "But-?" "No, do not tell her Jess please. Just tell her that you're alright and that's all. Pinkie promise?" says Brian and the two wrap their pinkies and vowing that mom won't know about Brian's secret life "I'm going to go away for a while alright?" says Brian and Jessica: "Why?" "I need to think on some things, tell mom that I went away for awhile to go live in London for that exchange program she told me about, okay?" Brian says and the two swing back home to where its revealed that their mom had to go live with her mom for a while and Brian leaves Jessica on the doorstep and watches from a nearby rooftop to see her knock on the door and their mom opens it revealing that the support beam that fell on her broke her spinal cord and shes now paralyzed from the waist down, Brian holds a hand over his mouth crying after he sees what happened to his mother and she just grips Jessica in a bear hug not even asking how is she even alive and Brian stands and walks away saying: "Goodbye Jess, Goodbye Mom" I'll be back soon" and Brian walks off, leaving Millennium City to "find himself" while the local Millennium City newspapers say that the All-New Red-Arachnid died in a building explosion in Millennium City's Morningstar neighborhood as his mask was found the rubbish the very next morning.
Brian's initial training on Sponge Island

Three weeks later...

Brian has left Millennium City and is currently residing in Vibora Bay to restart his training with his former trainer, Redsnake. With Red-Arachnid believed to be dead back in Millennium City Brian is taking the time to fix the "weak points" in his body and mind, every since Masako's attack on Brian's family he has been pushing himself to his very limits and this doesn't settle well with Redsnake as he trains others in Vibora Camesi for the sake of self-defense not revenge or vengeance which is what it seems like Brian is out for despite the fact Masako is dead. This causes Redsnake to cut Brian lose from his training and tell him to go home seeing that he is clearly full of anger and rage but Brian on the other hand doesn't want to quit he wants to keep pushing himself til he can't go anymore. Going back to a brownstone he rented while living in Vibora, Brian hacks into billionaire Franklin Carter's bank account and steals a large sum of money which would be enough for him to buy a private helicopter and a pilot so Brian can visit different locations around the world which would work best for him in his training. First starting with an isolated island off the coast of Asia named, Sponge Island and there Brian would wear nothing but his former ninja Gi and a blindfold. Here Brian would train himself into seeing with not just his eyes, but with his nose and hearing, the "Blind Hunter" stage Brian would call it he would make an agreement with his pilot to leave him here for 6 months and come back him, if he doesn't see Brian standing near the shore of the island hes probably dead then. Setting up a makeshift campsite in a cave deep into the forest of the island Brian steadily trains himself in constantly hunting the wildlife in the environment around him and using the plants on the island as natural ointments and healing applications for if he is ever injured.
Brian's journey through the Spirit Maze in Peru

6 months later...

Finally its been 6 months and Brian has survived his ordeal with being a "Blind Hunter" and now has naturally enhanced his five senses so now he can rely on them if he ever lost his newly deemed danger-sense which he has now called his "Hunter-Sense" or his eyesight. Brian's pilot tells him of another location which would further push him to the peak of body and mind, he tells him of a "Spiritual Journey" which is a giant maze that has a mystical barrier to prevent cheaters from climbing over the hedges and it tests the person's mind by pitting them against illusions that are created by the maze tapping deep into their minds and making their worst fears or challenges come alive. The pilot flew Brian to the "Spirit Maze" which is in a small wooded area of Peru and Brian's worst challenge were against the Sovereign Sons, a Vibora Bay sanctioned gang that practices in the studies of voodoo magic and they were a hustle for Brian when he first arrived in Vibora Bay as Red-Arachnid. The maze was truly a match for him as even with his newly enhanced senses he couldn't properly navigate through the maze, Brian failed only twice however finally conquering the maze on his third try and earning a title of "Amazing". The last challenge for Brian was on another island simply titled, Monster Island and Brian was crazy for even saying that he was going to spend a whole year on the island to prove to himself that he is finally ready to face his challenges and yet again prove to himself that his strong in body and mind. The pilot lands their helicopter on a clear spot on the island during one stormy night and sets Brian off to finally complete his final task, having faith in the young boy as he survived many times before he should be fine on Monster Island.
Brian's final "trial" on Monster Island, squaring off against a Great White Gorilla

One Year Later...

Brian is now 17 and is growing a beard, surprised that he even survived that long on this one island he managed to avoid most of the Island's greatest challenges like ARGENT, the Manimals, Dinosaurs, Aliens, and VIPER. Like Brian usually did when he "deadline" was met he walked to the location he promised to meet his pilot at once again and he reminds Brian of him seeing UNTIL jets and stationary units not too far from him, Brian's pilot quits and says that this was too much for him it was already enough for him that Brian looked like his oldest son who died of kidney disease about a year ago and he can't get over the fact that he has to remember that Brian is only 17 and not a grown man yet. Brian lets his pilot fly off and he hikes to UNTIL safe station and he is met with warm tea and food as well with extra clothes on his back and free trip back to Millennium City. Brian finally arrives back in Millennium City and what he does first is visit his mom and sister in their new house and tells him all about his year in London and when Brian asks Jessica how their mom was doing since the incident she just says: "Mom really missed you and kinda went into a deep depression since she can't walk anymore." Now that Brian is home again he can now do what he didn't do. Take care of his mom and retake his throne as Red-Arachnid. Brian does ask how did mom react when she found out Jessica was alive and Jessica said that Masako had made a cloned duplicate of her and sent it in her place in attempts to draw Red-Arachnid crazy as apparently he doesn't like seeing innocents especially young ones to die. After spending a year exiled away in solitude, Brian spends the next few weeks caring for his paraplegic mother and once it seems like she going to make out A-Okay Brian constructs a new Web-Suit and re-becomes Red-Arachnid.

Arachna-Woman: Arachna-Woman is the female clone of Richard O'Reilly, the original Red-Arachnid. She wasn't happy to find out in the wake of O'Reilly's death some 15 year old kid with spider powers of his own thought it was "okay" to don a cheap Red-Arachnid costume from the halloween store and become the new Red-Arachnid. She later gave Brian one chance to prove himself as a hero and allowed him to carry out the Red-Arachnid name. Brian Smith and Arachna-Woman remain close friends ever since O'Reilly's death.

Powers and Abilities

  • Superhuman Strength: As the new Red-Arachnid, Brian can lift up to 50 tons or more like an actual spider.
  • Superhuman Agility: Brian can move quite swiftly to dodge any incoming attacks.
  • Superhuman Durability: Brian is quite durable being able to be thrown into cars and out of windows and being able to walk it off as if it were nothing.
  • Superhuman Dodge Chance: Red-Arachnid is able to combine both his Hunter-Sense and Agility to dodge attacks wither its gunfire, swords, or specific melee attacks.
  • Superhuman Leaping Ability: Brian before gaining the Web-Suit used both speed, agility, and wall-crawling to get to place to place.
  • Hunter-Sense: When danger is present, Brian feels a ringing or chime sensation come from the back of his skull sorta like an early warning system, allowing him to react accordingly. It is also a lot more reliable then that of Richard O'Reilly's.
  • Enhanced Senses: After spending many months on several different islands wearing blindfolds, Brian naturally enhanced all his five senses so he can "see" without the use and dependence on eyesight. Brian's hearing is at its peak so he can hear from many miles away, his sense of smell is so accurate he could smell the presence of wildlife from a far while living the alternate islands, and taste-buds are so acute that he could taste the difference in poisonous berries and regular berries.
  • Wall Crawling: Brian can crawl on walls but one side effect to this power is that it requires a lot of concentration if he doesn't keep his mind focus he could fall
  • Venom Shock: Brian's body can output a large amount of bio-electricity which can leave his opponents stunned and paralyzed. Brian calls this the "Venom Shock"
  • Venom Blast: Brian has figured out he can channel his "Venom Shock" through his hand and fire it at a distance, allowing perfect ranged damage.
  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Brian's body can regrow and regenerate damaged cells and skin tissue in a matter of seconds.

Skills

  • Gadgeteer: Brian has a way with machines and gadgetry
  • Detective: Brian studied a lot of police tactics as a kid so he is almost a young detective
  • High IQ: Brian possesses a IQ of 145. He is claimed to be a "Boy of Science" and a prodigy in gadgets and tech. Although this doesn't mean Brian is capable of fixing super-computers and override codes.
  • Escapology: After being trained by Redsnake in self-defense after briefly losing his spider powers while being Spider-Kid, Brian learned escapology to better prepare himself in times where he is captured.
  • Martial Arts: Brian Smith as Spider-Kid trained under Redsnake to further enhance his speed, reflexes, and agility as well train in Vibora Camesi, a martial art only used by Vibora Bay sanctioned civilians. Brian's training even further enhanced his senses of sight, hearing, and smell. Though his martial arts training isn't as advanced as most other hand-to-hand combatants it is enough for him to go toe-to-toe long enough before tiring out or submitting to defeat.
  • Investigation: Brian is often recalled as the most investigative and analytical of all the Spider heroes. He is always listening, exploring and scrutinizing.
  • Skilled Inventor: Intellectually-gifted with an IQ that would surprise many, Red-Arachnid has made and constructed many gadgets and creative weaponry in his lifetime. While things like the first Web-Suit was made for him the rest from thereon was all made by him. Red-Arachnid is infamously known for his Web Grenades and his arsenal of "Trick Spider Shurikens" spider-shaped ninja throwing stars modified with unique functions, some for example include: Explosive Shurikens, Poison-Tipped Shurikens, Chained Kunai Shurikens, etc.
  • High Pain Tolerance: During Brian's time as a hero he has learned to cope with pain. Brian does possess a healing factor but its not advanced as other super-fast healers, it only can regenerate damaged skin tissue and regrow skin cells. With Brian's healing factor it usually takes 3 hours for him to fully heal from something its said it should take merely 2 hours but the extra hour is included due to that once the skin is finally regrown the pain still exists and doesn't die out until another hour later. Brian has also learned to not be afraid of getting hurt, his battles with R.H.I.N.O has taught him that as long as you get back up and show no signs of fatigue and vulnerability you can conquer anything a villain can throw at you.
  • Poison Resistance: During the first few weeks on Sponge Island, Brian accidentally swallowed some poisonous berries by mistake and while the ordinary human would've keeled over and died Brian built up a resistance to the poison, not because of his superhuman status but because he quickly built up immunity's to them and other certain kinds of toxins found in most animals and plants which now have only a limited effect on Brian or no effect at all.
  • Indomitable Willpower: Brian has strong willpower, enabling him to be immune to all forms of temptation including Subordination Manipulation, Telepathy, Mind Control and Subliminal Seduction. Through his will Brian can face great physical pain and psychological trauma and will refuse to surrender no matter how much the odds are stacked against him, possibly up to the point of cheating death and pushing himself past his own limitations.
  • Hunting: Brian became the "Blind Hunter" during his time in exile. While living on the multiple different islands he became adept at hunting. Tracking anything under any conditions, sense the weaknesses of his prey and exploit them and finally kill or capture them.
  • Strong Heart: Brian possess a very potent heart both spiritually and physically letting them survive most heart diseases, this was proved on his spiritual journey through the Spirit Maze. Brian's heart also possesses a grand form of purity, allowing him to survive most forms of evil and corruption.
Brian meeting up with an "old friend"

Battleready.png

Weaknesses

  • Unaware of Existence of the Hunter-Sense: Brian is unaware of the existence of his "Hunter-Sense" and can be easily tricked when an attack comes from behind.
  • Lucky Escapes: New to the hero game, Brian is lucky that his Superhuman Dodging and Hunter-Sense allows him to become almost untouchable and lucky to make it out of some fights alive.
  • Unstable Venom Shock: Brian's "Venom Shock" is quite unstable and can build up to the point where it has to release itself or else Brian could literally explode. This happens when Brian gets to angry, scared, or if his adrenaline builds up too much.
  • I Can't Sense Dead People: A new power Brian learned, Brian's "Hunter-Sense" can't sense undead entities/creatures like Vampires and Zombies since they register as dead and invisible to his Hunter-Sense. With this weakness any person/creature of the undead can catch Brian by surprise.

Comments and Opinions

Equipment

  • The Web-Suit: Brian's special "web-suit" allows him to glide, switch in and out of costume via molecular control, withstand extreme temperatures, and makes him resilient against small caliber bullets.
  • Web Grenades: The Web-Suit is capable of creating a "web grenade" for Brian to throw at his enemies. Nailing them to the ground for a short time
  • Plasma Discs: Tiny discs that are hidden in a spring-loaded compartment in Brian's Energy Bracers which break upon impact and release a flurry of plasma energy on the target.
  • Plasma Knife: A miniature plasma torch that fits firmly in the palm of your hand and releases a flame that can cut through most metals, except Questionite and Neutronium.
  • Holographic Computer: Red-Arachnid, his gloves feature a built-in computer system with holographic interface. Although capable of scanning and wireless connectivity where appropriate, USB and TRS connector cables and a USB port are included.
  • Utility Belt: Red-Arachnid uses his utility belt to store a vast and wide variety of weapons and tools. Its rare the equipment ever casually changes but so far Red has kept the same variety of tools with each incarnation of his Web-Suit.
  • Bolas: Cords with weighted ends designed to ensnare opponents when throwing in a gyrating motion. These bolas can emit an electric shock if needed.
  • Lockpick: A small device to open locks, stored in his utility belt.
  • Taser: A hand-held taser, that could be used both short range and long range. The exact voltage of the electrical blast is unknown, but is said to have at least 5 charges before it needs to cool down.
  • Spider Shurikens: Spider-shaped offensive weapons that can be thrown as projectiles or boomerangs. Often used for jamming the barrels of guns or disarming foes.
  • Spider Trackers: Miniature devices that connect to satellites planted on people or objects to track their location.

The Spider-Kid Suit (In Storage)

At around 13 years old, Brian designed a costume for himself for when he was patrolling around the city under the name of Spider-Kid. This costume unlike his Web-Suits lacked any sorts of protection and was just a straight forward cloth, spandex costume that was designed to fit snug under Brian's street clothes to provide an easy quick change for when Brian had to disappear to become Spider-Kid. It was also designed to be stealthy since he was most commonly active at night.

Spydakid.png

The Web-Suit I (In Storage)

Brian was given a special suit during the beginning of his hero career by a man who calls himself, The Inventor (who would later become a villain, real name Andrew Tobias. This man would give Brian the Web-Suit as a gift for saving his life in a car crash. The Web-Suit is jam-packed with all sorts of special features. The Suit is composed of nanites that can realign the molecules of the suit enabling the ability to automatically switch in and out of costume, activate the stealth option, and allow the gliding mechanism to be activated.

The suit's traditional colors are mainly red with a large black spider insignia that separates the scarlet red from the upper portion of the body from the lower part of the body which is mainly a maroon color. The Web-Suit also has two-way eye lenses that keep out dust particles when Red-Arachnid is gliding across the skyline using his Web-Wings along with allowing Brian to see out but leaving no one to see in. Red-Arachnid's suit was designed mainly as a survival suit because some features the Suit possesses is Underwater Breathing, Built-In Gas and Smoke Filter, Web Grenade Creation, Molecular Control, and Stealth Option.

Herostance.png

  • Resistance to Small Caliber Bullets
  • Gliding Mechanism or "Web-Wings" or "Web-Gliders"
  • Molecular Control, allowing to automatically switch in and out of costume
  • Stealth Option for Night Missions
  • Capable of Creating its own Web Grenades
  • Underwater Breathing Functions
  • Built-In Gas and Smoke Filter

The Web-Suit II (Destroyed)

Brian has recently gotten tired of wearing his standard all red costume and switches to a newer costume which he simply names, The Websuit II. This new costume uses more black then the previous Websuit and adds a black "web-cape" to aid in his gliding ability. The suit also has a brand-new stealth option where instead of the colors being altered it turns Brian completely invisible. The suit maintains some of the same features as the old. Recently destroyed in a fight with another superhuman named, Loose Cannon.

  • Gliding Mechanism or "Web-Wings" or "Web-Gliders"
  • Molecular Control, allowing to automatically switch in and out of costume
  • Capable of Creating its own Web Grenades

  • Built-In Gas and Smoke Filter

New Features:

  • Electronic Crime-Detectors - Small "doo-dads" connected to every satellite dish in Westside and can detect a crime within a 100 mile radius
  • Questionite-lined Cape: - Brian's new cape is now lined with polymer version of Questionite, rendering it indestructible.
  • Invisibility Option - Capable of turning Brian invisibility for an unlimited amount of time til the invisibility function is disabled.
  • Night-Vision - With the help of a green LED light, Brian's eyes glow up a green color telling others that he is using his night-vision to aid him in any darkened spaces

The Web-Suit III (Storage)

Wearing the suit from late-2013 into early to mid-end 2014, Brian constructed this suit to give off a much "uniquer" take of how most spider-themed heroes (and some villains) tend to look. While the suit was fun to wear it was also quite heavy though this was mainly due to the cape being made of Questionite fibers and due to Questionite's heavy nature it slowed Brian down whenever it came to being fast, flexible, and nimble. With a new year rolling in, Brian stores this suit away back in his closet back home along with his other Web-Suits to construct a new one.

The Web-Suit IV (Current)

After deciding he can't wait til New Year Eve 2014 (and also because it was finished quite earlier then expected) Brian dons his new Web-Suit IV. The suit is nothing more besides the dropping of the hood, cape, and bracers and color palette swap from red, white, and black to the original formula of scarlet red and maroon red with the introduction to a silver-grey color to the mix. The Web-Suit IV also adopts a more 'armored' look and feel to it as well and also dons what Brian calls, "Multi-Purpose Gloves" and the gloves are swapped out from the original cloth designs to a armored look which has secret compartments which house Brian's Plasma Discs, Energy Cables, Plasma Knifes, Tanglecoil Launcher, and Web Grenades. The suit also keeps its molecular controlling abilities so Brian's suit can take on a 'stealthier' look for night missions by swapping out the red color scheme with a jet black and silver grey color scheme. The new suit also has a utility belt built into it's waist line and allows to hold twice as many Spider Shurikens and Spider Trackers as well as medical kits and maybe a few other devices.

Red-Arachnid's Energy Bracers

Red-Arachnid recently met a young intern at Angelstone Laboratories who built special "Energy Bracers" for Red after taking inspiration from Red Spider Energy Cuffs. The Energy Bracers however are completely different, they release plasmic energy similar to Aerogel used in aerospace dynamics that is both solid and slippery allowing the user of the Bracers to ride on pure energy while also moving at super speeds. Red-Arachnid soon takes the Bracers as a gift and goes on to use them as a secondary travel for when he can't use his Energy Cables to swing across the city.

Redslide.png

The Silver Arachnid Armor

NOTE: Currently Made and Finished. Origins and Capabilities are still works in progress))

Transportation

  • Energy Slide: Red-Arachnid's newest travel ability. With this new energy slide, Red can now be more stealthy and not resort to his web-cape as often as before.
  • Swinging: A new alternate to his transportation abilities, Brian has reworked his Energy Bracers so that now he can project them in the form of a cable in which he can swing from Point A to Point B.
  • On Foot: Brian lacks any sorts of grappling hook or Energy-based draglines he can use whenever hes rendered unable to use his Web-Wings. However, Brian is pretty fast on foot and can run for miles before fatigue sets in, he is also not as fast as a speedster though. For example, Brian can outrun regular cars and trucks to sports cars.

Trophies

Kid Hero- Spider-Kid has been a solo hero for quite some time making him pretty skilled in fighting off certain monsters by himself but off course for bigger threats like Grond, Spider-Kid is incapable of defeating such a monstrosity himself.

Kung Fu Kid- Brian Smith before discovering his about his spider powers he mastered standard and advanced martial arts but seeing how now his powers make him quite the acrobat his reflexes make him untouchable.

All Webbed Up- Spider-Kid is known to leave villains and thugs webbed up to phone poles or ceilings to let the police know hes been through the area and to keep them from escaping.

Snooping Little Kid- Brian was always the type who spy on his cousins and sometimes bad guys before and after finding out about his powers.
