WC a.pngBIOGRAPHY

Beginnings

Brian Smith was often described as an average, run-of-the-mill teenager who lived in a middle-class household with his mother Katherine Smith, father Daniel Smith, and his younger sister Jessica Smith, with their oldest brother Jeffery serving in the military. Because of the craziness that usually went on in this household, Brian became very introverted and often times dedicated most of his free-time on the computer and often dwelling into the fascinating world of science and computer technology. His 'studies' more-times-than-not often led him to the topic of metahumans and their first appearances. By the time Brian was leaving elementary school he was enrolled into a Magnet school where his high level of intellect made him a clear-cut choice for enrollment.

During Brian's time at this school he would eventually be tasked with creating a project for a science fair competition that would determine how much does he and his fellow peers actually know and if this was the right school for all of them. Brian got to work immediately only to find himself stumped on what it is he wanted to do for the science fair and that was when he discovered nanobots. Brian decided to create nanobots that mimicked the abilities of a spider and even program them to use a specially-made artificial 'web' made out of a carbon nanofoam. With this groundbreaking project Brian would be sure to make history as a 13 year old kid who was able to replicate everything a spider can do through robotics.

Great Power

After managing to pull a few strings with Doctor Silverback, Brian managed to get himself a small part-time job at the Mods and Fusion center in Millennium City's Renaissance Center. It would be here where Brian would spend hours out of his day conducting many different experiments with his nanobots while also serving as a helping hand for Doctor Silverback and Juryrig.

MORE TO COME SOON

The Tremendous Spider-Kid

On one cold night Brian put on his ski mask and some goggles and a hat and went down to Westside where he would test out his newfound powers. While in the middle of his "training" Brian heard a man in a mask just robbed a store that was when Brian thought maybe now was the time to put his powers to the test and apprehend the burglar. Every night Brian went out in his makeshift suit trying to find the burglar that robbed the convenience store he then dubbed by the local newspaper, "Spider-Kid" and asking questions is he good or bad? Eventually Brian did find the burglar and chased him down but when he lost him in a dark alley Brian heard a gunfire and when he found the victim of the fatal gunshot it was father, Daniel Smith he happened to be walking through the alley after going grocery shopping and used the alley as a shortcut to his car. Brian soon unmasked himself to his dying father saying "Its me dad. I'm Spider-Kid the vigilante everyone has all been talking about." Brian remembers shedding a tear on that night and his father's last words were "Brian...B-B Man I'm proud of you, but with every battle comes a cost. Go do what you do best. Protect. Go son go get that....m-man...... Brian soon cried before throwing his mask back on and chasing after the burglar turned murderer. Brian eventually caught up with him and cornered him at the Westside Docks.

Brian cornered thug at Westside Docks repeating several times "Murderer, Murderer, Murderer" Before kicking the burglar's gun out of his hand and beating him till he had a broken jaw and nose. Right when Brian was about to deliver the final blow holding the criminal by his shirt collar Brian's body discharged a large amounts of yellow bio-electric energy which left Brian in stunned state while the thug went into cardiac arrest before finally dying. Checking his pulse Brian noticed he was dead and he accidentally killed him, but thats not what the police with think. Fleeing the scene to cry about the death of his father, Brian thought about his fathers final words about how he should do right and "Protect" it was then Brian would become a superhero using his powers to help people and to never kill since his new power of bio-electricity killed the man who killed his father.

The Fall of Richard O'Reilly (The Original Red-Arachnid)

Elsewhere in Downtown, Millennium City the superhero known as Red-Arachnid has been shot and is currently fighting against The Superior 7 he has defeated most of the members except for Incendiary Demon, the Orange Goblin of Mayhem. Brian hears the report from the TV he has on in his room he watches the fight unfold and watches a battered and beaten Red-Arachnid get his butt kicked. Brian not having time to put on the ski mask to go help just grabs his jacket and jumps, climbs, and leaps all the way downtown. Red-Arachnid now with most of his mask tattered and gone everyone who has gathered to see the fight knows that Richard O'Reilly is Red-Arachnid. With several choke slams to the concrete Richard is on his finally leg, using the last of his spider strength Richard picks up a tanker truck and throws it at Incendiary Demon killing him before giving an evil smirk knowing that Red-Arachnid is on his last leg and is about to die. Finally Richard drops to his knees and dying saying that "Incendiary Demon may have been successful in killing me, but I came out victorious in saving everyone else." Richard then dies and Brian gets there too late unable to use his own spider powers to help and probably even save Richard.

Red-Arachnid: Exiled (2015 Story Arc)

One Year Ago....

Its a warm, muggy, and damp night in Millennium City and Brian Smith also known as Red-Arachnid is having a bad day and nothing seems to be going right with him. Several hours earlier, the neighborhood Red-Arachnid is usually most commonly spotted in, Rivertown, had fallen victim to a full-scale gang war and the prisoners, killers, crooks, robbers and thieves are all rioting throughout neighborhood injuring many innocent people, shop-owners, and the police are too overwhelmed to deal with it all at once as well as a villain new to Red-Arachnid has surfaced claiming that he knows Red's real name and recommends that he should: "Leave the crime-fighting to adults. Kids could really get hurt in this business". Red-Arachnid is only 16 years old when this is all going on and he is already having trouble keeping his cool since the original Red-Arachnid was 16 when he died and Brian if he doesn't watch his step he'll find himself in a similar situation.

Red-Arachnid swings down to Rivertown and will try his best to see if he can do something about the gang war but he can't. Brian is quickly overwhelmed, no way are these killers going to stop everything their doing so they can be feared by this one "kid" when there's many other high-profile heroes like Nighthawk out there who has a better chance of stopping them then Red-Arachnid. Red is hit in the head with a lead, metal pipe and is stunned Red isn't still fully aware of his danger-sense and thus took a pretty hard blow which knocked him off his feet. Dazed and confused Red is confronted by a masked man in a Kabuki mask and a long black trenchcoat calling himself, Masako which is Japanese for "Justice". Masako apparently is like most villains in Millennium City, he hates superheroes especially teenage ones who don't know their place and what makes Masako special to Red is that he claims to have been watching him for many months now and claims to know his secret identity and he should probably get home while he still can. Behind the mask of Red-Arachnid is a face of fear, worried, and emptiness what could Masako possibly mean by "get home while he still can?" and then Brian figures it out and he drops a smoke bomb and swings out of Rivertown and heads back to City Center while Masako laughs a wicked laugh Brian can still hear from 3 stories up in the sky: "HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!". Brian arrives at home and he finds his home, on fire and his mom is pinned under a support beam from their attic and as Red-Arachnid Brian saves his mother and gets her to safety and goes deeper inside his own burning home to find his younger sister, Jessica and finds her underneath their kitchen table, dead still clutching her favorite teddy bear Tubby, she didn't even get a chance to run. Behind Brian's mask is now sadness, disappointment, and despair his own sister that he always promised his mom since he was 10 years old that he would always protect, wasn't there to protect her this time even with fancy spider powers. He brings out Jessica's dead body and Brian's mom runs up to him snatching her daughter's body from him clutching it hoping shes still alive but she feels that there is no heart beat, no pulse, no anything. Jessica is dead and Brian, the Red-Arachnid has been charged with her death and a warrant for his arrest has been issued out to all the police stations in Millennium City.

Brian has lost everything now. His father, home, heroic identity and now his own sister. Brian vows to find Masako and get his revenge and thats what he exactly does he spends the next few weeks tracking down Masako and eventually uncovers his hideout on the other side of the city, Morningstar. Swapping into a black stealth suit, Brian infiltrates the base of the madman that killed his sister, destroyed his home and nearly killed his mother Brian stealth take-downs all of Masako's henchmen and finally breaks through his office door knocking the two guards on the other side out cold with two knuckle sandwiches as if they were nothing and he grabs Masako by hi through and lifts him in the air shouting, screaming at him: "WHY?!?!?! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO KILL HER?!?!?!" and Masako just laughs saying that being a hero comes at a cost you have to learn that people are eventually going to die even if those people are the ones that are close to you just like little Jessie. Brian smashes Masako's head against the concrete wall of his base and Masako just shrugs if off dapping the back of his head and looking at the blood: Violent much?" and Brian continues to beat the living hell out of Masako eventually shattering his mask before stopping to say: "Wait! Shes not dead." and Brian replies with: "What are you talking about?" You mean...?" and Masako looks up to Brian and says: "Yes, shes in that closet over there." and he points to a nearby closet "I kidnapped her many weeks prior to my appearance and made an exact duplicate in her place in an attempt to drive you mad." says Masako. Brian looks in the closet and finds his sister bound and gagged and right before he can take in the sweet relief, Masako blows up the entire base killing him and seemingly Brian and Jessica too, but Brian reemerges in a tattered costume and Jessica protected by a prototype holographic shield Brian had constructed for later use in his adventures. Jessica sees Brian's tattered mask and sees that he is the new Red-Arachnid and says: "Brian. You're Red Spider?" and Brian just replies with a chuckle and says: "It's Red-Arachnid, Jess and I'm going to take you home alright and you tell mom everything that happened except me being Red-Arachnid" Jessica is confused and says: "But-?" "No, do not tell her Jess please. Just tell her that you're alright and that's all. Pinkie promise?" says Brian and the two wrap their pinkies and vowing that mom won't know about Brian's secret life "I'm going to go away for a while alright?" says Brian and Jessica: "Why?" "I need to think on some things, tell mom that I went away for awhile to go live in London for that exchange program she told me about, okay?" Brian says and the two swing back home to where its revealed that their mom had to go live with her mom for a while and Brian leaves Jessica on the doorstep and watches from a nearby rooftop to see her knock on the door and their mom opens it revealing that the support beam that fell on her broke her spinal cord and shes now paralyzed from the waist down, Brian holds a hand over his mouth crying after he sees what happened to his mother and she just grips Jessica in a bear hug not even asking how is she even alive and Brian stands and walks away saying: "Goodbye Jess, Goodbye Mom" I'll be back soon" and Brian walks off, leaving Millennium City to "find himself" while the local Millennium City newspapers say that the All-New Red-Arachnid died in a building explosion in Millennium City's Morningstar neighborhood as his mask was found the rubbish the very next morning.
Brian's initial training on Sponge Island

Three weeks later...

Brian has left Millennium City and is currently residing in Vibora Bay to restart his training with his former trainer, Redsnake. With Red-Arachnid believed to be dead back in Millennium City Brian is taking the time to fix the "weak points" in his body and mind, every since Masako's attack on Brian's family he has been pushing himself to his very limits and this doesn't settle well with Redsnake as he trains others in Vibora Camesi for the sake of self-defense not revenge or vengeance which is what it seems like Brian is out for despite the fact Masako is dead. This causes Redsnake to cut Brian lose from his training and tell him to go home seeing that he is clearly full of anger and rage but Brian on the other hand doesn't want to quit he wants to keep pushing himself til he can't go anymore. Going back to a brownstone he rented while living in Vibora, Brian hacks into billionaire Franklin Carter's bank account and steals a large sum of money which would be enough for him to buy a private helicopter and a pilot so Brian can visit different locations around the world which would work best for him in his training. First starting with an isolated island off the coast of Asia named, Sponge Island and there Brian would wear nothing but his former ninja Gi and a blindfold. Here Brian would train himself into seeing with not just his eyes, but with his nose and hearing, the "Blind Hunter" stage Brian would call it he would make an agreement with his pilot to leave him here for 6 months and come back him, if he doesn't see Brian standing near the shore of the island hes probably dead then. Setting up a makeshift campsite in a cave deep into the forest of the island Brian steadily trains himself in constantly hunting the wildlife in the environment around him and using the plants on the island as natural ointments and healing applications for if he is ever injured.
Brian's journey through the Spirit Maze in Peru

6 months later...

Finally its been 6 months and Brian has survived his ordeal with being a "Blind Hunter" and now has naturally enhanced his five senses so now he can rely on them if he ever lost his newly deemed danger-sense which he has now called his "Hunter-Sense" or his eyesight. Brian's pilot tells him of another location which would further push him to the peak of body and mind, he tells him of a "Spiritual Journey" which is a giant maze that has a mystical barrier to prevent cheaters from climbing over the hedges and it tests the person's mind by pitting them against illusions that are created by the maze tapping deep into their minds and making their worst fears or challenges come alive. The pilot flew Brian to the "Spirit Maze" which is in a small wooded area of Peru and Brian's worst challenge were against the Sovereign Sons, a Vibora Bay sanctioned gang that practices in the studies of voodoo magic and they were a hustle for Brian when he first arrived in Vibora Bay as Red-Arachnid. The maze was truly a match for him as even with his newly enhanced senses he couldn't properly navigate through the maze, Brian failed only twice however finally conquering the maze on his third try and earning a title of "Amazing". The last challenge for Brian was on another island simply titled, Monster Island and Brian was crazy for even saying that he was going to spend a whole year on the island to prove to himself that he is finally ready to face his challenges and yet again prove to himself that his strong in body and mind. The pilot lands their helicopter on a clear spot on the island during one stormy night and sets Brian off to finally complete his final task, having faith in the young boy as he survived many times before he should be fine on Monster Island.
Brian's final "trial" on Monster Island, squaring off against a Great White Gorilla

One Year Later...

Brian is now 17 and is growing a beard, surprised that he even survived that long on this one island he managed to avoid most of the Island's greatest challenges like ARGENT, the Manimals, Dinosaurs, Aliens, and VIPER. Like Brian usually did when he "deadline" was met he walked to the location he promised to meet his pilot at once again and he reminds Brian of him seeing UNTIL jets and stationary units not too far from him, Brian's pilot quits and says that this was too much for him it was already enough for him that Brian looked like his oldest son who died of kidney disease about a year ago and he can't get over the fact that he has to remember that Brian is only 17 and not a grown man yet. Brian lets his pilot fly off and he hikes to UNTIL safe station and he is met with warm tea and food as well with extra clothes on his back and free trip back to Millennium City. Brian finally arrives back in Millennium City and what he does first is visit his mom and sister in their new house and tells him all about his year in London and when Brian asks Jessica how their mom was doing since the incident she just says: "Mom really missed you and kinda went into a deep depression since she can't walk anymore." Now that Brian is home again he can now do what he didn't do. Take care of his mom and retake his throne as Red-Arachnid. Brian does ask how did mom react when she found out Jessica was alive and Jessica said that Masako had made a cloned duplicate of her and sent it in her place in attempts to draw Red-Arachnid crazy as apparently he doesn't like seeing innocents especially young ones to die. After spending a year exiled away in solitude, Brian spends the next few weeks caring for his paraplegic mother and once it seems like she going to make out A-Okay Brian constructs a new Web-Suit and re-becomes Red-Arachnid.

WC b.pngPOWERS

  • Superhuman Strength: Brian possesses the strength of a spider scaled up to human-size. Because of this Brian possesses uncanny levels of strength that allow him to lift up to 10 or 20 tons, but is likely to press more if he pushes himself hard enough. This level of strength is enough to make it feel like (for a normal human) that they are punching a brick wall if someone is to attack Brian.

  • Superhuman Agility: Brian can go from one point to another effortlessly, effectively dodge attacks, swing from things easily, sprint, do back-flips and numerous other gymnastic, athletic and martial implements with little effort. This is often done by Brian's body making the unconscious decision to rapidly respond or change by adapting its initial stable configuration to switch position(s) efficiently, and using a combination of balance, bodily coordination, speed, reflexes, strength and endurance.

  • Superhuman Durability: Brian's body-tissue, skin, muscles, bones, etc. is extremely dense/solid, allowing him to withstand harmful strains on his body such as crushing weights, impacts, pressures, changes in temperature, etc. His enhanced levels of strength and stamina have made this possible because of how hard his body has become, allowing him to resist tearing a muscle and/or shattering bones easily.

  • Superhuman Dodge Chance: Using his Psionic-Sense to predict an opponents next move, Brian uses what he calls a "dodge chance" to evade a predicted attack used against him while also be provided with the opportunity to counter it any way he sees fit/or possible.

  • Superhuman Leaping Ability: Not unlike a jumping spider, Brian before gaining the Web-Suit used both speed, agility, and wall-crawling to jump incredible distances and land safely, covering frighteningly tall heights and long distances.

  • Psionic-Sense: Brian possesses a form of extrasensory perception that allows him to use minor psionic potential to achieve a form of enhanced awareness, foresight, and psychic navigation. With this ability Brian can sense directions like a compass, knowing where a specific direction is whether he is blinded or not. Along with this Brian can also predict any future attack or danger made against him personally moments before they actually happen.

  • Enhanced Senses: After spending many months on several different islands wearing blindfolds, Brian naturally enhanced all his five senses so he can "see" without the use and dependence on eyesight. Brian's hearing is at its peak so he can hear from many miles away, his sense of smell is so accurate he could smell the presence of wildlife from a far while living the alternate islands, and taste-buds are so acute that he could taste the difference in poisonous berries and regular berries.

  • Surface Adhesion: Brian has the ability to adhere to surfaces unaided by any sort of technological device. This power stems mostly into his hands and feet but can even work while they are covered by any sort of cloth and/or fabrics. Though this power has the odd disadvantage of being concentration-based and so for that if Brian is too lose focus while adhering to specific surface, he is sure to fall or lose his 'grip' on the surface.

  • Venom Shock: The Venom Shock is an extension of the human body's natural bio-electric currents existing in the nervous system, heart and muscles. Brian can manipulate this bio-electricity and project it outward to hit up to five or more people in a contained/or closed off environment.
    • Venom Blast: A spin-off power from the 'Venom Shock', the Venom Blast is essentially the Venom Shock fired in concentrated direction usually hitting single target.

  • Regenerative Healing Factor: Brian's body can heal any kinds of tissue or cellular damage made against it in a matter of minutes or even days. However the same cannot be said if Brian is to sustain an injury to any vital organs or bones as they will either result in death or the very least a matter of months to bounce back from. But since his training on Monster Island and other islands as well, it is said the Brian did ingest an herbal concoction that would allow him to, at the very least, be more resilient to any sort of damage made against his bones or organs.

Abilities

  • Gadgeteer: Brian has a way with machines and gadgetry.

  • Detective: Brian studied a lot of police tactics as a kid so he is almost a young detective.

  • High IQ: Brian possesses a IQ of 145. He is claimed to be a "Boy of Science" and a prodigy in gadgets and tech. Although this doesn't mean Brian is capable of fixing super-computers and override codes.

  • Escapology: After being trained by Redsnake in self-defense after briefly losing his spider powers while being Spider-Kid, Brian learned escapology to better prepare himself in times where he is captured.

  • Martial Arts: Brian Smith as Spider-Kid trained under Redsnake to further enhance his speed, reflexes, and agility as well train in Vibora Camesi, a martial art only used by Vibora Bay sanctioned civilians. Brian's training even further enhanced his senses of sight, hearing, and smell. Though his martial arts training isn't as advanced as most other hand-to-hand combatants it is enough for him to go toe-to-toe long enough before tiring out or submitting to defeat.

  • Investigation: Brian is often recalled as the most investigative and analytical of all the Spider heroes. He is always listening, exploring and scrutinizing.

  • Skilled Inventor: Intellectually-gifted with an IQ that would surprise many, Red-Arachnid has made and constructed many gadgets and creative weaponry in his lifetime. While things like the first Web-Suit was made for him the rest from thereon was all made by him. Red-Arachnid is infamously known for his Web Grenades and his arsenal of "Trick Spider Shurikens" spider-shaped ninja throwing stars modified with unique functions, some for example include: Explosive Shurikens, Poison-Tipped Shurikens, Chained Kunai Shurikens, etc.

  • High Pain Tolerance: During Brian's time as a hero he has learned to cope with pain. Brian does possess a healing factor but its not advanced as other super-fast healers, it only can regenerate damaged skin tissue and regrow skin cells. With Brian's healing factor it usually takes 3 hours for him to fully heal from something its said it should take merely 2 hours but the extra hour is included due to that once the skin is finally regrown the pain still exists and doesn't die out until another hour later. Brian has also learned to not be afraid of getting hurt, his battles with R.H.I.N.O has taught him that as long as you get back up and show no signs of fatigue and vulnerability you can conquer anything a villain can throw at you.

  • Poison Resistance: During the first few weeks on Sponge Island, Brian accidentally swallowed some poisonous berries by mistake and while the ordinary human would've keeled over and died Brian built up a resistance to the poison, not because of his superhuman status but because he quickly built up immunity's to them and other certain kinds of toxins found in most animals and plants which now have only a limited effect on Brian or no effect at all.

  • Indomitable Willpower: Brian has strong willpower, enabling him to be immune to all forms of temptation including Subordination Manipulation, Telepathy, Mind Control and Subliminal Seduction. Through his will Brian can face great physical pain and psychological trauma and will refuse to surrender no matter how much the odds are stacked against him, possibly up to the point of cheating death and pushing himself past his own limitations.

  • Hunting: Brian became the "Blind Hunter" during his time in exile. While living on the multiple different islands he became adept at hunting. Tracking anything under any conditions, sense the weaknesses of his prey and exploit them and finally kill or capture them.

  • Strong Heart: Brian possess a very potent heart both spiritually and physically letting them survive most heart diseases, this was proved on his spiritual journey through the Spirit Maze. Brian's heart also possesses a grand form of purity, allowing him to survive most forms of evil and corruption.

Liath gear.pngEQUIPMENT

  • The Web-Suit: The Web-Suit is a series of suits Brian wears that are usually always red in color with the added colors of darker reds, blacks, silver-grays, and other shades of red. Each suit has a rotating arsenal of tools and equipment but with iteration of the Suit, they all usually reincorporate the same tech and gear as any other previous version.

  • Web Grenades: The Web Grenades are strapped to a harness that Brian wears on the current version of his Web-Suit. Where previous versions of his suit have been able to create Web Grenades at will this is the first version where that feature is not reused.

  • Plasma Knife: A miniature plasma torch that fits firmly in the palm of your hand and releases a flame that can cut through most metals, except Questionite and Neutronium.

  • Holographic Computer: Red-Arachnid, his gloves feature a built-in computer system with holographic interface. Although capable of scanning and wireless connectivity where appropriate, USB and TRS connector cables and a USB port are included.

  • Utility Belt: Red-Arachnid uses his utility belt to store a vast and wide variety of weapons and tools. Its rare the equipment ever casually changes but so far Red has kept the same variety of tools with each incarnation of his Web-Suit.

  • Bolas: Cords with weighted ends designed to ensnare opponents when throwing in a gyrating motion. These bolas can emit an electric shock if needed.

  • Lockpick: A small device to open locks, stored in his utility belt.

  • Spider Shurikens: Spider-shaped offensive weapons that can be thrown as projectiles or boomerangs. Often used for jamming the barrels of guns or disarming foes.

  • Spider Trackers: Miniature devices that connect to satellites planted on people or objects to track their location.

The Spider-Kid Suit (In Storage)

At around 13 years old, Brian designed a costume for himself for when he was patrolling around the city under the name of Spider-Kid. This costume unlike his Web-Suits lacked any sorts of protection and was just a straight forward cloth, spandex costume that was designed to fit snug under Brian's street clothes to provide an easy quick change for when Brian had to disappear to become Spider-Kid. It was also designed to be stealthy since he was most commonly active at night.

The Web-Suit I (In Storage)

Brian was given a special suit during the beginning of his hero career by a man who calls himself, The Inventor (who would later become a villain, real name Andrew Tobias. This man would give Brian the Web-Suit as a gift for saving his life in a car crash. The Web-Suit is jam-packed with all sorts of special features. The Suit is composed of nanites that can realign the molecules of the suit enabling the ability to automatically switch in and out of costume, activate the stealth option, and allow the gliding mechanism to be activated.

The suit's traditional colors are mainly red with a large black spider insignia that separates the scarlet red from the upper portion of the body from the lower part of the body which is mainly a maroon color. The Web-Suit also has two-way eye lenses that keep out dust particles when Red-Arachnid is gliding across the skyline using his Web-Wings along with allowing Brian to see out but leaving no one to see in. Red-Arachnid's suit was designed mainly as a survival suit because some features the Suit possesses is Underwater Breathing, Built-In Gas and Smoke Filter, Web Grenade Creation, Molecular Control, and Stealth Option.

Herostance.png

  • Resistance to Small Caliber Bullets
  • Gliding Mechanism or "Web-Wings" or "Web-Gliders"
  • Molecular Control, allowing to automatically switch in and out of costume
  • Stealth Option for Night Missions
  • Capable of Creating its own Web Grenades
  • Underwater Breathing Functions
  • Built-In Gas and Smoke Filter

The Web-Suit II (Destroyed)

Brian has recently gotten tired of wearing his standard all red costume and switches to a newer costume which he simply names, The Websuit II. This new costume uses more black then the previous Websuit and adds a black "web-cape" to aid in his gliding ability. The suit also has a brand-new stealth option where instead of the colors being altered it turns Brian completely invisible. The suit maintains some of the same features as the old. Recently destroyed in a fight with another superhuman named, Loose Cannon.

  • Gliding Mechanism or "Web-Wings" or "Web-Gliders"
  • Molecular Control, allowing to automatically switch in and out of costume
  • Capable of Creating its own Web Grenades

  • Built-In Gas and Smoke Filter

New Features:

  • Electronic Crime-Detectors - Small "doo-dads" connected to every satellite dish in Westside and can detect a crime within a 100 mile radius
  • Questionite-lined Cape: - Brian's new cape is now lined with polymer version of Questionite, rendering it indestructible.
  • Invisibility Option - Capable of turning Brian invisibility for an unlimited amount of time til the invisibility function is disabled.
  • Night-Vision - With the help of a green LED light, Brian's eyes glow up a green color telling others that he is using his night-vision to aid him in any darkened spaces

The Web-Suit III (In Storage)

Wearing the suit from late-2013 into early to mid-end 2014, Brian constructed this suit to give off a much "uniquer" take of how most spider-themed heroes (and some villains) tend to look. While the suit was fun to wear it was also quite heavy though this was mainly due to the cape being made of Questionite fibers and due to Questionite's heavy nature it slowed Brian down whenever it came to being fast, flexible, and nimble. With a new year rolling in, Brian stores this suit away back in his closet back home along with his other Web-Suits to construct a new one.

The Web-Suit IV (In Storage)

After deciding he can't wait til New Year Eve 2014 (and also because it was finished quite earlier then expected) Brian dons his new Web-Suit IV. The suit is nothing more besides the dropping of the hood, cape, and bracers and color palette swap from red, white, and black to the original formula of scarlet red and maroon red with the introduction to a silver-grey color to the mix. The Web-Suit IV also adopts a more 'armored' look and feel to it as well and also dons what Brian calls, "Multi-Purpose Gloves" and the gloves are swapped out from the original cloth designs to a armored look which has secret compartments which house Brian's Plasma Discs, Energy Cables, Plasma Knifes, Tanglecoil Launcher, and Web Grenades. The suit also keeps its molecular controlling abilities so Brian's suit can take on a 'stealthier' look for night missions by swapping out the red color scheme with a jet black and silver grey color scheme. The new suit also has a utility belt built into it's waist line and allows to hold twice as many Spider Shurikens and Spider Trackers as well as medical kits and maybe a few other devices.

The Web-Suit V (Current)

Following the death of Killer Spider who was killed in battle Brian went into a deep depression that took him out of superhero ventures because Killer Spider wasn't just his friend but his very cousin as well. Brian left the superhero game for two years to live life a normal person because this was the second person to die and again he wasn't there to do anything to stop it. During this two year absence the Nexus Force started to slowly dissolve as well as Brian's communication with other superheroes he met.

Finally in 2017 Brian made his return back into the footsteps of Red-Arachnid. With a new year came yet another new suit, the Web-Suit V. This suit is outfitted with the latest tech made available to Brian thanks to certain connections with other heroes out there. The Web-Suit V is decked out with a Kendrium-lined alloy coating that adds an extra layer of durability as well provides fortified protection from bullets, lasers, concussive energy blasts, and fire-based attacks. The suit also reuses a lot of the same functions and gadgets previous Web-Suits have had but with the addition of a chest harness that holds his Web Grenades since this suit is in capable of creating them and a 'Web Pack' that holds mechanical spider-legs that Brian can use as offensive weapons.

Red-Arachnid's Energy Projectors

The first version of the Energy Projectors can actually be traced back to when Brian first designed the nanobots for his science project. After acquiring his powers Brian later built many different versions of the Energy Projectors of varying shapes and sizes, but with the most recent version of them have now been built within the Web-Suit V as opposed to being entirely separate from the costume.

The Energy Projectors work with a press of a button on each hand, specifically near the inner thumb, when these buttons are pressed a cluster-assembly of carbon atoms are strung together in a loose three-dimensional 'web-line', which has the ability to adhere to nearly any surface and allow for Brian to swing around the city as if he were a daredevil. The 'web-line' can also be used in a variety of different ways like entrapping enemies or just something as simple as patching holes. A more recent function allows Brian to slide across the floor/ground on a friction-less field of energy.

Kendrium Battle Staff

A new addition to Red-Arachnid's arsenal, Brian currently wields a battle staff that is comprised of a Kendrium alloy to add a layer of durability as well as making it nigh-unbreakable. More times than not Brian often times uses his battle staff in unison with his venom blast to create some variation of 'bio-electric baton' that's more common amongst vigilante types as well as some police SWAT units as well.

The staff was a gift from Doctor Silverback to Brian. It would allow for Brian to be ten times more dangerous when combining the use of the staff with his quick agility and Psionic-Sense for predicting another opponent's attack(s). The staff is also collapsible and can be attached to Brian's utility belt via the use of an electromagnet to keep it hooked in place.

Trivia

  • Spider-Kid was originally a half-spider, half-human hybrid that starred in fictional comic book in the Champions Universe, Strange Creatures #1 July 1971
  • Spider-Kid's costume color scheme was specially made for stealth since he mostly active at night.
  • Someone once commented that they can't wait to see Spider-Kid transform into the Spider-Man hes destined to be, but Brian commented "That name feels like its already taken"
  • Spider-Kid is voiced by David Kaufman from the Danny Phantom TV series
  • People commonly call Red-Arachnid, Red Spider. Brian refuses to use or even accept Red Spider as an alias because he feels it would "diminish" the Red-Arachnid name.
  • Red-Arachnid will sometimes throw out a 'smart-ass remark' or taunt in the midst of battle. Often times to emphasize his frustration and impatience.
