Rya hated Kon for being a Primordial Demon. She believed his presence as an Apex Primordial would shift the balance too far to the side of darkness, and repeatedly mobilized her troops to take him down. As Kon consistently defeated her troops (to his reluctance), Rya grew frustrated and decided to fight Kon herself, only to be defeated brutally. This frustration grew even further as Kon explained to Rya that he had no intention to hurt her, which she had misinterpreted as pity. In a desperate attempt to kill Kon, Rya infected herself with darkness to become more vicious in battle, only to collapse from the incompatibility of the darkness to her body, which was made of Celestial Light. At the same time, another Apex Primordial Demon, '''Deno''' took advantage of Rya's weakened state and slaughtered half of her military forces. Realizing her foolishness, Rya broke down into tears and cursed Kon for being the first being in many millennia to force her to resort to such questionable methods, blaming Kon for the destruction of her people. Kon retaliated angrily and scolded Rya for taking drastic measures to that extent, and told the Celestial that the deaths of her people were her own doing, not his.

This spiral of self destruction went out of control, until Rya attempted to overload her body with darkness to battle Deno. This would only end in disaster as Deno overpowered her. Kon would then save Rya from Deno's clutches where they would regroup to Rya's kingdom, where Kon adamantly stated that Rya's emotional instability was causing her to act outside of her usual rationale. Rya, questionable of Kon's intentions, refused Kon's help, and told the Primordial to prove to her that he was truly on the side of light. Kon responded that he was on neither side, as the only thing he wanted was peace between the factions, having seen enough bloodshed from the families who suffered from the eons of war waged between both sides. Kon followed this up by begging Rya, kneeling before the Celestial and asking her to teach him how to use [Sona], showing Rya that he was capable of Celestial magic despite being a demon. Kon explained that despite knowing Celestial magic, the power draws from his life force instead of his mana, as his mana as a Primordial Demon was tainted with darkness. Kon's kindness was later once again proved as the first thing he did after learning [Sona] was to use the immense costs to his life force to revive half of Rya's people from the destruction of Deno, shocking the Celestial.
