What is a miracle?

Are they world-shattering events that bypass or break the laws of nature? Are they everyday occurrences, hiding in plain sight, awaiting revelation? The common man, the mystic, and the thinker have wrestled with this since time immemorial. Just what is possible in the pursuit of salvation?

The superheroes of the day have been pushing the envelope on this front since the phenomena began. Some pass the torch to the next generation, and have forged a legacy of heroism that people can look up to for decades. A select few have been doing it for much, much longer.

Those who have taken the name "Crusader" are one such lineage of heroes, and theirs is a tale of tragedy and miracle that stretches back almost a thousand years...
