A Bit of Backstory
Alex Walker, a.k.a. The Patriot, is a former professional wrestler who was banned from wrestling for being a mutant on the eve of his shot at the heavy weight title. Shortly after this, he was present at a bank when a group of criminals attempted to rob the bank. Alex only intervened when the bank robbers were threatening to shoot some of the customers. He was able to disarm all the assailants to the cheers and applause of the bank patrons. It was then he realized what he had to do with his life. He took on the persona of his wrestling career and hit the streets to fight crime.
Although he appears to be in his 20's he is actually much older, although his exact age has not been confirmed. His regenerative metabolism appears to keep him young. His wrestling career was on the rise in the 80's and he had a sister who did not share his mutant gifts who passed away in her 50's in 2004.
