Hero Files, #1 - Steel
Stephen O'Connors, secretly donning the mantle of Steel, is the most well-known superhero in the city of Rockwood. The origins of his alter-ego began when his parents were assassinated. He witnessed their deaths, and almost died himself if not for the surprise the assassin had shown when Stephen appeared, missing that all important shot. Recovering, Stephen wanted vengeance, and fashioned a comparably primitive suit of power armour to stop the assassin, once and for all. Of course, these actions brought the being he had created to the public's attention, even though they were unaware of the man underneath. And so began his tale of heroism.
