Background and Origin

There is a lot of Myth and Legend surrounding the being known as Shadozone. There is one myth, which might actually be a true story. The person this myth originated from was a witness during a samurai's hara-kiri. The story goes that a samurai who was sentenced to death, had the hara-kiri performed. But as the katana sliced thru his neck, a dark mist began to come out of the man's neck instead of blood. The mist began to take shape and standing before the samurai's executioner was a demon. Black skin, sharp teeth, skin as black as the night sky and a long tail. The demon thru the dark mist that surrounded it drew a sword and slew the executioner behind the dead samurai, along with all the other party members that surrounded him. Except for one, a small boy who was sitting in the corner of the room. Legend said this boy was the samurai's son. The demon, holding a blood soaked Katana stood over the boy, the dark mist surrounded the demon grew thicker consuming the demon and it vanished. This myth is the only truth of how the being Shadozone came to this world.

Another story says that Shadozone's origin is he is the manifestation of a you girl's dream(who was viciously raped). It's said the girl created him as a way to keep herself from being harmed by any other men who would try to make her relive the experience, and when one tried the young girl got so enraged that a dark mist formed from her body. Then thru the mist walked a demon carrying a sword and slew the rapist where he stood.

Legend says, Shadozone was a Grand Master Swordsman. He fought in many battles, some legends even say he fought before the world even existed. Some legendary Samurai say, they saw him on the battle field surrounded by many foes. But none of his foes could ever come close to striking him down. He used his sword effortlessly as if he was conducting a dance. Some say he moved so fast, it were as if he could strike standing perfectly still. The legend even says he had hundreds of followers who learned his art of sword fighting, and that his secret technique was that of a forbidden shadow art. The legend says that many of his followers would die practicing this technique. Then one day the Emperor had the Grand Master executed when rumor had gone around the Grand Master wanted to have the Emperor(who at the time became a tyrant) Assassinated.

But beyond Legend, beyond myth. Shadozone has emerged in the world of heroes. Many heroes don't know what his true plan is, but they do know that he will stop anyone who would dare get in his way. Most heroes who has spotted him, have witnessed him carrying out punishment for those that commit horrendous acts against women and children. Other heroes have witnessed him executing Heroes turn traitor. A hero and villain caught a glimpse of Shadozone standing near by, as if he was waiting for one of them to make a mistake.

He seems to walk around in the form of a demon. Shirtless, always has his Katana. He wears shin guards, armor covered gloves and a straw rice farmer hat. Oh and that tail of his, almost looks like the devil loaned him a spare.

Abilities

Void Shift - Shadozone can shift through voidspace, disappearing for a moment and reappearing on top of his enemy.

Bountiful Chi Resurgence - Shadozone focuses his Chi into healing energy to help him recover from battle.

Reaper's Embrace - Is one of Shadozone's powerful sword techniques. Capable of taking advantage of any wounds the enemy might have during combat.

Ebon Void - Shadozone creates a protective barrier that reduces incoming damage by relocating the damage into another dimension.

Gear and Equipment

Weapon - Shadozone only wields his Legendary Katana. Legend says he stole it from the God of War himself.

Armor - Sometimes he can be seen wearing a suit of armor. This suit of armor has been said to be a manifestation of the shadowy mist that surrounds him.

General Perception

No hero at this point in time has heard a spoken word from Shadozone. One speedster that ran by him slaughtering a child murderer thought he heard him say "The children are avenged." But for the most part no hero, or villain. Wants to go anywhere near Shadozone without reason. No one knows if he's good, evil or just here. But what the streets do know is that Shadozone is not a being you want to mess with.
