History and Origin

Rex Hamilton's start with "Performance Enhancers" was thanks entirely to a slip-up of the MCPD... When sent to prison for a 30 year sentence, most claim innocence. However, in Rex's case, it was true. Prison is always harsh, more so if you're not used to that element of humanity. Bad things happen inside, lucky people find ways to deal with it, Rex's method was Drugs. Lots & lots of Drugs.

Normally drugs were not Rex's style, but... Thanks to an oddly well-connected inmate who still fancied himself a scientist, though most would say mad scientist, passing his long sentence by creating experimental drugs and using fellow prisoners as guinea pigs, Rex got an offer he couldn't ignore at the time. Granted they weren't drugs of the highest quality, given the 'Prison Toilet Wine' level of the madman's 'lab'.

The "Doc's" hobby at the time was a super-steroid, for which the victimized and unwitting Rex seemed the perfect test subject. Once it started kicking in, people became much less inclined to make bad things happen to Rex. The price being the side effects of such a jury-rigged substance running rampant in his body, dimming his mind.

Unfortunately 6 years passed in the block before new evidence finally came to light which proved Rex's long-claimed innocence, forcing the justice system to release a, now, humongous pissed off man who'd spent the last 6 years learning nothing but how to be a criminal.
