− | <center>Darrell Trevors was born as the first and only child of Janice and Darren Trevors in North Detroit, Millennium City. Despite his parents' respectable professions with his mom being a registered nurse (R.N.) and his father as a skilled tradesman, the family was primarily brought up in the low-income neighborhood of The Grove, a crime-ridden slum of Millennium City that was often ignored by both the city government and Mayor Biselle. The borough eventually became the home to many of Millennium City's lower-class citizens and local street gangs such as the Maniacs and the Black Aces. This overall mistreatment and lack of empathy towards the city's less fortunate residents made Darrell come to develop a certain disdain towards Millennium City's upper-class elites, such as James Harmon of Harmon Industries. Instilling within him a sense of hard work, merit, and dedication could get you to where you wanted to be, rather than to have it handed to you.</center> | + | <center>Darrell Trevors was born as the first and only child of Janice and Darren Trevors in North Detroit, Millennium City. <center>Whilst taking classes at the community center, Darrell met another student named Russell Lyman who, like him, didn't have many friends but also "knew his way around a keyboard" so his mother also pursuaded him into signing up for computer classes. A friendship quickly formed between the two boys and eventually began working on a personal side project called R4gn%r0k after they completed their lessons for the day at the center. R4gn%r0k was supposed to be a malware application that was only meant to test the young programmers' newly acquired computer skills but turned into the proof needed for Russell to begin working with an underground cyber-terrorist group known as eLite_Circuit. Russell convinced Darrell to join the group by selling him a false story of eLite_Circuit being a hacktivist group set on exposing the lies and corruption that plagues Millennium City's underbelly, which Darrell ultimately did agree to join his friend in this supposed noble cause for social reform and justice.</center><br><br> | <center>Whilst taking classes at the community center, Darrell met another student named Russell Lyman who, like him, didn't have many friends but also "knew his way around a keyboard" so his mother also pursuaded him into signing up for computer classes. − | <center>For months, Darrell and Russell ran alongside eLite_Circuit members Ramsey Deacon, Eugene Hawkins, and Kristen Ladner carrying out tech heists across the city. This was all being done while efforts were being made behind the scenes to turn R4gn%r0k into a virus that would be used to carry out a cyber attack on Millennium City by shutting down SOCRATES and taking control of the city's entire infrastructure. The biggest heist that the group would carry out would be against a fledgling R&D company called Dynamic Innovations founded by ex-PRIMUS agents Elmer Bradley and Eric Williams, formerly known as the tech heroes known as Golden Gizmo and The Machinist. Victoria City was the home a generational super-team known as the Victory Guard and in her time since moving there, she found herself working alongside the latest incarnation of the Victory Guard super-group. − | <center>[[Image: | + | <center>Darrell was a very introverted kid growing up as he was an only child and lacked very few friends to hang out which led to him developing very poor social skills. Spending the majority of his time playing video games and browsing the internet did more harm then good as he grow to become a very shy and timid person. By the time he graduated high school, however, he overcame this limitation more-and-more by the time he got his first job in customer service where he had to interact with people on a daily basis. Still incredibly shy, Darrell seems to exert a lot more energy when he's around those he considers friends where he will become a lot more talkative then usual and open to cracking jokes whenever he can. Darrell is perceived by most as a kind soul with the swagger of a gentleman. Most find themselves gravitating toward him purely due to his down-to-earth demeanor and ability to remain levelheaded in times of extreme stress or turmoil. His affinity for computers and software development has led to Darrell becoming far more analytical than the average person, always preparing for whats to come ahead in the future. Occasionally, Darrell will go periods of time without talking or speaking when in a large group of people, where most would perceive this as "zoning out" is actually him carefully examining and creating a mental profile of the people he's surrounded by. Learning more about them through their words, thoughts, and actions. Ever since joining the Quantum League, Darrell's confidence has even seen a major boost as he's more willing to take part in playful banter and jokes with some of the team's more serious and stern members of the group. His ability to turn this off and get serious; focusing on the mission at hand, garners much respect from other members as well, as it showcases his sense of determination and dedication to seeing a mission through to end.</center> |

*<b>Databending</b>: Darrell can use virtual energy to freely warp the "information" (molecules) inside an object in order to create or turn them into real life glitches and pixelations. This process is known as "databending" or "datamoshing" and usually puts the object "out of phase" with reality thus rendering its tangibility temporarily inert/non-existent until the glitch effect wears off naturally or when Darrell decides to lift it himself. Either way, this technique is a common ploy used by Darrell to prevent enemies from gaining access to lethal weaponry that can harm either him, bystanders, or just pose a possible collateral damage risk to the surrounding environment. | *<b>Databending</b>: Darrell can use virtual energy to freely warp the "information" (molecules) inside an object in order to create or turn them into real life glitches and pixelations. + | *<b>Digital Pirating</b>: If he's ever in a bind where he needs a quick surge of energy, needs to replenish his energy reserves, or even heal quickly, Darrell can "pirate" the electro-static energy present in nearby electronics in order to heal himself for a time and put him back in fighting condition. This electro-static energy can come from anywhere whether its a cell phone, computer, laptop, tablet, or even a smartwatch.
*<b>Equipment Malfunction</b>: Darrell can manipulate his data pixels to override the performance of any piece of equipment and cause it to malfunction. This ability isn’t always guaranteed though as varying pieces of equipment or machinery experience different effects. Most of the time, the malfunction or “glitch” that's put in place is never permanent and the equipment in question will usually revert to normal operation(s) after a few minutes or seconds. Due to this drawback, this ability is often reserved for moments where a quick escape or distraction is needed. | *<b>Equipment Malfunction</b>: Darrell can manipulate his data pixels to override the performance of any piece of equipment and cause it to malfunction. *<b>Logic Bomb Creation</b>: Darrell can set off "bombs" of tightly compacted pixels and data bursts that can explode into a wave of concussive energy upon its detonation; scrambling the senses and mental faculties of his target. This typically leaves his enemies temporarily unable to think, speak, read, or recognize familiar faces for about thirty-seconds to a minute before the effects of the "Logic Bomb" wear off. | *<b>Logic Bomb Creation</b>: Darrell can set off "bombs" of tightly compacted pixels and data bursts that can explode into a wave of concussive energy upon its detonation; scrambling the senses and mental faculties of his target. + | *<b>Signal Boost</b>: Should he ever need to get to a high vantage point at all, Darrell can fire a two concentrated surges of virtual energy (from both hands) directly at the ground in order to propel himself upward and send him airborne. This often done whenever he needs to cross large gaps his teleportation or trick-jumping abilities can't carry him far or long enough for. This also allows for quick and effortless movement/transportation throughout terrains that're void of many buildings or artificial structures.
*<b>System Crash/Override</b>: Sometimes referred to as the “Big Bang”, Darrell, with the enough harnessing of virtual energy, can completely override and crash a technology system and render it completely useless and inert. This essentially is a naturally-made EMP-like effect that Darrell only uses in the most dire of situations and because of its extreme nature, it typically leaves him drained of energy. As a result, this power is yet another last resort/ditch effort whenever Darrell finds that he needs to end a particular conflict quickly. | *<b>System Crash/Override</b>: Sometimes referred to as the “Big Bang”, Darrell, with the enough harnessing of virtual energy, can completely override and crash a technology system and render it completely useless and inert. − | *<b>Efficacy Suit</b>: Darrell's costume has gone through many designs and iterations throughout his time of being hero. Originally it had a more "vigilante" look to it as his first ever costume was primarily street clothes. As the months and year progressed, the costume saw some much needed upgrades as Darrell was coming face-to-face with metahumans far more frequently than before. The latest "3.0" version of Glitch's costume is a type of "smart clothing" which makes use of micro-computers and nano-liquid circuitry embedded throughout its material in order to keep Darrell constantly "plugged into the internet". A Wi-Fi and radio receiver provide him with wireless internet access and communications with radio traffic so he can scan police radio transmissions as well as pick up radio signals too. The Wi-Fi receiver also allows Darrell backdoor access to monitor and control any systems connected to a wireless computer such as surveillance cameras, temperature/climate control functions, etc. The suit is also heavily shielded against EMPs, technopaths, and excessive uses of electricity and/or magnetic attacks, this is all to keep from having the suit's onboard systems being destroyed in the wake of a battle. When the costume isn't in use, its stored in a portable, pocket-sized canister where it will expand to full size whenever it's needed. | + | *<b>Efficacy Suit</b>: Darrell's costume has gone through many designs and iterations throughout his time of being hero. Lastly, there's the hexagon-shaped module that sits comfortably on Glitch's chest. This module is sometimes recognized as a "hands-free multi-tool" due to that its jam-packed with a variety of functions such as a defibrillator that can provide a magnetic-electrical charge to Darrell's heart with two consecutive administrations should he ever flatline, project a non-lethal Pulson blast that can knock back and incapacitate opponents from a couple meters away, and project a protective force-field around Glitch's chest or his entire body the moment it detects or predicts Glitch's reaction time won't allow him to save himself in time to counter an attack. When the costume isn't in use, its stored in a portable, pocket-sized canister where it will expand to full size whenever it's needed. |

− | *<b> | + | *<b>Taser Tanbo</b>: In the event he might have to resort to hand-to-hand combat, Glitch's weapon of choice are a pair of modified tanbo sticks that have been outfitted with tech that can administer an adjustable mild-to-severe electric shock that can be used to incapacitate targets with little effort. The tanbo sticks can also disburse a wave of paralytic electric energy that can be used to attack enemies at a distance. |

− | *<b> | + | *<b>UFED Physical Analyzer</b>: The physical analyzer is actually a piece of software that allows Glitch to recover lost or deleted data from any kind of electronic whether it be a computer, smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc. The analyzer is rarely used unless Glitch is conducting an investigation that warrants him needing to receive the lost data if he believes it could be valuable in solving a case. Glitch usually keeps this analyzer program preloaded on a flashdrive for ready use in case he ever needs it. |

− | *<b> | + | *<b>Multi-Vibrational Frequencies</b>: Glitch's phase-shifting can be immediately counteracted by a vibrational frequencies that can disrupt his phasing abilities. This can prove to be problematic as depending on the frequency applied to the vibrational wave of energy can lead Glitch to experiencing "molecular disequilibrium" which will cause his cells to be in a constant state of breakdown and reassemblage. When this happens, Darrell's phasing will not only become imbalanced but will be quantum cohesion next to impossible as he'll lack the control to turn his phasing "on and off"; therefore increasing the risk of falling through the earth or worse. |

− | + | *Hacker communities big and small appear to look up to Glitch as a sort of role model or even a celebrity and discuss him frequently in their respective chat channels. Your character might've caught wind of Glitch's existence that way, if your character is also a computer prodigy and/or frequents those communities.
− | | + | *Glitch can be very mischievous and sometimes spray-tags locations he's previously been or stopped a crime at. Usually these tags are just a styled blue-colored "G" with orange-and-green pixels emanating off it. Maybe you've seen them around the city. |
+ | |||
+ | *While Glitch hasn't worked with <span style="color:#90ff93">PRIMUS</span> or <span style="color:#90ff93">UNTIL</span> in any way, he is most certainly on their radar. Affiliates of either organization likely have heard of the hero through gathered surveillance of his exploits captured by local news or cell phone footage.
+ | **Furthermore, Glitch is technically an unregistered hero and while this isn't a bad thing necessarily, his level of power has warranted PRIMUS agents and affiliates to consider reaching out to the hero and getting him to register so he can work alongside them.
+ | ***Finally, while Glitch isn't a villain in anyway, the Superhuman Survey predicts that if Glitch were to ever go rogue, he'd be an Delta-class threat - which means that he would pose a credible threat to the national security of the United States. For context, this would mean Glitch is a greater threat than Cybermind who possesses similar, albeit mostly technopathic, abilities like Glitch, but is deemed a Beta-level threat by the Department of Defense.
+ | |||
+ | *Strangely enough, Glitch has amassed his own cult following on social media aptly known as "Glitchers." These individuals usually dress up in crudely made versions of one of Glitch's many costumes he's worn thus far and perform dances, recite phrases from movies or shows, or just perform skits in front of their cell phone cameras.
+ | **Glitchers are mostly recognized by their clever recreations of Glitch's iconic mask which has since become his unofficial iconography online and therefore has raised public attention about him and his exploits.
+ | |||
+ | *Glitch sometimes hacks the hovering billboards around Renaissance Center and replaces the advertisements with memes...and usually signs his name to them.
+ | |||
+ | *As a pastime, Glitch usually pays visits to the low-income neighborhoods of Millennium City and tries to help give back to the communities.
+ | **This ranges from participating in volunteer-relief efforts or even teaching computer classes at the same community center he once attended.
+ | ***Glitch's efforts do appear to be mainly centered on the Grove as that neighborhood is perhaps the most neglected in Millennium City and goes unrecognized or acknowledged by local politicians.
+ | |||
+ | *Between the various emoticons Glitch's mask displays and captured video footage of him in action, Glitch has become the subject of various memes and sh*t-posts.

In short, next to no one who hasn't met Glitch personally knows next to nothing about him, therefore making him a ghost. This, however, is not the case as Darrell's powers are apart of him and are also slightly esoteric in nature as well. + | *<b>Friendly Neighborhood Hacker</b>: Glitch knows his place and that place is to protect his local neighborhood and people on the city streets, while he's served on teams where the mission has taken him to combating corporate entities and extra-dimensional threats; his preferred wheelhouse is to remain street-level for the most part. That is, unless, he is being backed up with the appropriate friends and allies as he's certain that alone, he'd be unable to go up against some of Millennium City's more dire and devastating supervillains.

+ | *Glitch is, in part, the spiritual successor of his original "prototype" characters <span style="color:#90ff93">Data</span> and <span style="color:#90ff93">Interface</span>.
+ | *The main goal that remained a constant during Glitch's creation: "Don't make him a technopath."
+ | *There was an idea that Glitch would be an amnesiac time-traveler from a doomed future and his powers were tied to temporal alteration and manipulation.
+ | *Nanomachines/nanites were considered for some type of involvement in Glitch's origin, powers, or equipment, but was scrapped due to the MCU's overuse of the technology.
+ | *Was originally going to be a mutant female that could create holographic throwing knives/daggers and be based on the X-Men character, Blink before that idea was scrapped.
+ | **The second draft of Glitch saw him wearing paramilitary fatigues mixed with some hi-tech armor attachments and was based on the Arkham Knight. This idea was eventually dropped too.
+ | **The third draft was to make Glitch just a mutant, but I welcomed the challenge of creating a tech hero through the traditional "accidental" science origin.
+ | **A final draft on Glitch saw him based on the X-Men character, Fantomex but this was also discarded in favor of something more "street-level" and partly relatable.
+ | *The concept of Glitch was inspired during a miserable game session of GTA Online where my presence oftentimes lagged friends' gameplay, created rubberband issues for myself and others, and resulted in delays in damage sustained to my character.
+ | *Most tech-themed characters use shades of blue to represent the outward expression of their powers/abilities. For me, blue has become extremely overused and more attributed with electronic hardware more than anything (Ex. Look at the advanced tech seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). The choice to make Glitch's powers orange-and-green/white came from that his powers are "organic" and esoteric. The orange represents his skin tone/complexion while the green is supposed to represent "the internet" and its larger interconnectivity.
+ | *Glitch's Diagnostic Signal is partly inspired by the Spider-Sense (Marvel), but based mainly on Amadeus Cho’s Hyper-Mind (Marvel) ability and the Inhuman, Ulysses Cain's Diagnostic Precognition (Marvel).
+ | *Characters that served as inspiration for Glitch include Eugene Sims (Infamous: Second Son), Marcus Holloway (Watch Dogs 2), Wrench (Watch Dogs 2/Legion), Miles Morales/Spider-Man (Marvel), David Alleyne/Prodigy (Marvel), Virgil Hawkins/Static (DC Comics), and Duke Thomas/The Signal (DC Comics).<br><br>
− | | + | Character Details |
+ | *While he's seen the Canadian powerhouse flying around from time-to-time, Glitch has never met or interacted with <span style="color:#90ff93">Thundrax</span> formally.
+ | *Thanks to Flashpoint, Glitch is an accomplished cook and can make some savory meals and dishes.
+ | *He actually owns a small supply box of Questionite. He still hasn't found a particular use for it yet.
+ | *The boy has a weakness for girls with brown hair, usually curly, and blue or dark/brown eyes.
+ | *Is deathly terrified of bees, wasps, hornets basically anything that flies and has a stinger.
+ | *During his high school years, Darrell always wanted to join the <span style="color:#90ff93">Young Renegades</span>.
+ | *Darrell was 13 years old at the time of the Qularr Invasion in 2009.
+ | **4 years later in 2013, Darrell actually loses his father in the Lemurian Invasion and Cybermind's attack on SOCRATES inspires Darrell to become a hacktivist.
+ | **The following year in 2014, Darrell attends the first-ever Foxbatcon and gets a novelty foam finger and replica Ping-Pong Ball Gun.
+ | **In 2017, Darrell has already become Glitch and helps escort civilians to safe-zones throughout the city during Shadow Destroyer's Nightmare Invasion.
+ | *Between the time he served as a "hacktivist" with eLite_Circuit and becoming Glitch, Darrell has been engaging in vigilante activities for about 6 years (give or take).
+ | *His favorite word is 'indubitably' which means "without a doubt."
+ | *He views most patriotic heroes as "government lapdogs."
+ | **He also find it ironic how most "darken" their color scheme over time because the vibrant colors becoming too alluring.
+ | *Glitch has developed a dislike for speedsters after a brutal beatdown he suffered from Major League member, Red Racer.
+ | *So far, Glitch has been a member/ally of groups such as The Astrals, OUTBreak, The Quantum League, and Victory Guard.
+ | *Darrell is a big fan of musicals and of the ones he's seen so far are Beetlejuice, Hamilton, Shrek the Musical, and Wicked.
+ | *His favorite (domesticated) animal are cats. Mainly due to them being mostly low maintenance and don't need to walk them everyday.
+ | *Glitch tries to keep most of his gadgets compact that way they can fit in his utility belt and also be carried in his civilian clothes in case he's unable to use his powers.
+ | *His time with Quantum League has made him an expert in quantum mechanics and engineering as well as extremely knowledgeable in extra/inter-dimensional affairs.
+ | *Glitch ditched his original vigilante attire not because it was damaged or he simply wanted a new look...but because it had a habit of smelling bad from profuse sweating.
+ | *Despite what many friends and allies like to think and claim, Glitch isn't a "genius" or recognized as having "genius-level intellect." He personally considers himself "above-average" at most.
+ | *While he's consumed alcohol during some social occasions, Darrell isn't a big drinker and prefers to be of sound and sober mind. Primarily due to him valuing his intelligence and not wanting to kill off any of those precious brain cells of his as well as wanting to be in top shape in case he needs to be ready to suit up for a fight.
+ | *Outside of his apartment in Millennium City, Darrell has several hideaways in the form of secluded hackerspaces and a personal armory, previously owned by Flashpoint's grandfather.
+ | *Is a big fan of rock music. More specifically hard rock, alternative rock, and electronic rock.
+ | **Some bands that he appears to frequent or listen to primarily consist of Ashes Remain, Falling in Reverse, From Ashes to New, Set It Off, and Starset.
+ | *Is also a fan of rap rock as well.
+ | **Bands frequented from this genre consist of Deuce, From Ashes to New, and Hollywood Undead.
+ | *Glitch is extremely agnostic and a non-believer in magic, claiming that "magic" is some form of advanced molecular manipulation fueled by the creative subconscious that is one's own imagination. Though its rare he ever openly announces this in a given setting or conversation.
