Backstory
Diego Mendez is a very young hero, with no idea where his powers came from. He came into his powers after being murdered by cultists. He had what he believes to be some sort of divine experience (though it's disturbing enough for him to consider it the bad variety), and awoke to find his wounds had healed completely on their own. Unsure what else to do, he went ahead and registered with PRIMUS, thinking that at least he could do some sort of good with his power until he figured out for sure where they came from. He took on the name Demon Hunter after a conversation with his grandmother in which she said 'someone has to put a stop to the demons in the night.' It wasn't until months later that he learned that there really was such a thing as a demon hunter: he was one of them
