Background and Origin

The Campbell Bloodline

The Campbell Family originates in Ireland, but not much is known of them before their immigration to the United States in the 1820's, and have settled in Kingsland, Arkansas, from the very start.

In Kingsland, they have opened a firearms store, seeing as those were still the years of the Old West, and have been providing such services throughout the years.

But rumour had it that they weren't just selling those firearms. Everytime a criminal went through town, they seemed to have just disappeared the morning after. That made crime rates very low for the small town, and they have truly felt blessed. Some said that it was due to the Campbell quality weapons, that they are safe from crime. Others, that it was due to the Campbells themselves.

Though it wasn't until the early 1880's that the Campbell line began producing Bounty Hunters for the state of Arkansas. Those Campbell family members seemed to have wandered far and wide across the nation, claiming bounties dead or alive. Usually dead.

The years passed, and the Campbell reputation became a thing of legend in Arkansas. So much that it sometimes even invited trouble to the family. But being model citizens and good Catholics, the family always prevailed. And so it went for the next century, until 1981, when Elizabeth Johnson Campbell was born.

Believe it or not, but Elizabeth was the first time that a Campbell girl was the Firstborn. The family relied on the tradition that the Firstborn, who was always a son until now, would be trained in the family heritage of headhunting. Her father was not known to give up though, and he was known as a man that respects his family's traditions gravely.

So Elizabeth was not raised like a normal girl. She was trained as well as eduucated, often helped her father in the shop. Her mother had died of complications in her birth, and Campbells only marry once. Elizabeth's father had no choice - He was to either break the tradition, or end it.

The Kingsland Saint

And so, on her eighteenth birthday. When she had finished her schooling, and was ready to take on the world. Her father took her to Little-Rock, and enrolled her into the Police Academy. She went through all their trainings and teachings, but she never understood why the other cadets seemed to be cautious of the young Campbell.

She later learned her family's reputation in law-enforcement's grayer areas. And once she finished the academy, she decided to end that reputation, and serve as a perfectly legal police-woman. Her father agreed, but spoke very little about it.

In Little-Rock, Elizabeth climbed the ladder faster than expected, be it due to skill or the family name, and soon enough became a detective. But her first case as a detective, swiftly became her last.

A series of murders occurred across the state, and Elizabeth became obsessed with it. She knew who was responsible. They only had one suspect. But he had too good a lawyer who disproved too much evidence, and time and time again, the killer was sent free. It infuriated Elizabeth's Irish blood.

She decided to quit the force and return home. Clear her head. She wasn't ready for what her Father had prepared for her. When he took her into his office, she saw that on the wall he had every newspaper clipping about the Arkansas butcher, including things from police departments around the state, and even from her own station.

He was too old to go back to the Campbell tradition, and so he gave her a present. An old-fashioned, but lethal, pair of Taurus Raging Bull Model 454 revolvers.

Elizabeth didn't need to be told twice. She left town and started going after her killer. And that wasn't enough for her. Every town and city she went through, it seems more and more criminals began disappearing in her wake. Word spread, fast, and reached the killer's ears.

The murders began concentrating, closing closer and closer on her hometown, and then in her hometown. But the killer only had time to take out two before Elizabeth got to him, and put a .454 Casull round through the bastard's head.

She felt the great sense of justice, and consulted with the priest of her hometown, who have been her father's priest, as well. The Newspapers caught word of the happening, and but a rumor that the one responsible for a drop in crime-rates is one of Kingsland. No one in town dared say a word about it, though. And no one outside town knew who the person was.

They called her "The Saint of Kingsland" for her cleansing act across the state. And that title stuck for a whole decade, and has yet to fade, with more and more criminals and crime families falling in her wake across the nation.

Millenium City

After a whole decade of hunting across the nation, she ended up in Millenium City. And seeing the condition of Westside, she decided she better stay. In a city full of heroes, a vigilante in hiding would be a needle in a hay-stack.

Elizabeth Campbell is not too known around, but the Kingsland Saint is a rumor that entered the city from beyond its boundaries. US Citizens from other states might have heard of her. Those of Arkansas - Definitely heard of her. Though her identity as the Kingsland Saint has never officially been revealed, its information easy to dig up. The reason why she wasn't arrested remains unknown, but no warrants exist for her, not even for questioning.
