Powers

Regenerative Nanotechnology - In an attempt to cure my Osteogenesis Imperfecta the delivering doctor secretly injected me with an experimental regenerative nanite solution designed to repair the damage. These nanites worked far beyond his expectations providing me with an accelerated healing process that regenerates damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater efficiency than an ordinary human.

In addition to the increased healing the nanites also provide me with several other benefits including:

  • Foreign Chemical Immunity: I am virtually immune to poisons and most drugs, except in massive doses. For example, it is extremely difficult for me to become intoxicated from alcohol.
  • Immunity To Disease: My highly efficient system protects against most known Earthly diseases and infections.
  • Enhanced Stamina: The nanites grants me a high resistance against lactic acid and other fatigue toxins generated by my muscles during physical activity. I am able to sustain myself at peak capacity for several hours. My lung capacity is at peak human level enabling me to hold breath for 6 minutes under water.
  • Enhanced Durability: This is mostly because of my nanite infused Skeleton, which redistributes the force of blows dealt against it.

Intuitive Genius - I have a superhuman intuitive talent for inventing technological devices. My mutant ability functions as perception, as I possesses the ability to visually perceive "mechanical energy" (the kinetic energy and potential energy present in the components of mechanical systems) in action. This allows me to instinctively know and understand the potential and functional operations of any machine or technological device in visual range, a skill that combined with my natural intelligence allows me to conceive, design and build mechanical devices; and operate, modify and disassemble existing technology or create countermeasures for it.

My superhuman talent does not mean that I am a greater inventor than geniuses such as Dr. Silverback, Jury-rig, or Hildy Lemare, none of whom owe their talent for invention to mutation. But even a genius at invention must for the most part consciously work out the theoretical principles behind the invention and then the design of the invention itself through a series of logical steps.

In my case, however, many of these logical steps would be worked out by my subconscious mind. Hence, I might not be entirely aware of exactly how I figured out how to create an invention. I often have to take apart my own inventions to see how they work.


Intuitive Intelligence - My intelligence has been dramatically enhanced, granting me a super genius intellect. I am capable of mentally performing highly complex geometric and trigonomic calculations almost instantly, and have a limitless capacity for learning and memorization, demonstrating the ability to fluently learn a language in a matter of seconds. My powers also extend to my muscle control, allowing me to perfectly perform very precise muscle movements such as complex billiards shots, martial arts, gymnastics/acrobatics, handling small equipment, rapidly typing complex programs, etc with virtually no practice beforehand. I can see the equation being solved as if I were actually seeing it been written out. This allows me to understand mathematics at the most complex level including biological maths, chemical equations ,probability and permutation. This suggests that my intelligence could be part intuition.


Intuitive Aptitude - I have the ability to rapidly and easily disassemble complex devices (separating every last component, such as screws, nuts, circuit boards, etc.) and, just as quickly, easily assemble complex devices. I can instantly learn and understand the complexity and exactness of organisms, objects, subjects, fields, powers, etc. without the need of long-term or special education.


Eidetic Memory - I have the total recall and can remember anything I have ever seen, smelled, touched, tasted, etc. in great detail.

Weaknesses

[Formerly] Brittle Bone Disease - According to mom I was diagnosed with type IV Osteogenesis Imperfecta but I had been cured due to the experimental regenerative nanotechnology that I was injected with at birth.


Electromagnetic Pulse - A side effect of the nanites is that they are susceptible to electromagnetic Pulses. If a powerful enough field was directed at me then it could temporary short out my regenerative ability until the nanites can reboot themselves


Only Human - The nanites may have boosted my recuperative abilities and durability but I am still human in all other respects. That means that bullets, punches [if delivered with sufficient force], cuts, etc can all hurt and even kill me.

Gear

Typhoon Mark I - My original armor was nothing more than a glorified exo-suit with no built in weapons but was still rather impressive. Especially when you consider the fact that I was only 10 when I built it. It had the following abilities:

  • Superhuman Strength: The suit enhanced my strength allowing me to lift up to 5 tons.
  • Superhuman Durability: The armor is very durable, capable of withstanding high caliber bullets with ease.
  • Flight: The armor can fly at 60 MPH.
  • Power Cells: The armor is powered by a combination of solar converters and electrical batteries as a fuel source.

Typhoon Mark II - After discovering a crashed alien ship I tried to help the pilot. Unfortunately I was unable to save his life but before he died the alien gave me some kind of Bio-tech nanite. Using those as well as some items I made from reverse engineering the tech of the crashed ship I was finally able to create a true suit of power armor.
Armor Capabilities

  • Superhuman Strength: I am capable of lifting up to 50 tons and can achieve higher levels of strength when powered by a sufficiently more powerful source.
  • Superhuman Speed: Even when not traveling for extended distances, the armor enables me to move and react at very high speeds.
  • Flight: The armor can typically reach speeds in excess of Mach 15.
  • Power Cells:The armor is powered by an on-board generator that uses beta particle absorption as a fuel source.
  • Energy Conversion Power Recharge: The armor is also able to absorb and convert nearby or far away energy sources, such as heat, solar, electrical, magnetic, Geo-thermal or kinetic energy or energy from the planet itself into beta particles.
  • Self-Contained Life-Support System & Environmental Protection: The armor can be completely sealed for operations in vacuum or underwater, providing its own life support, and is shielded against radiation, biological, chemical, corrosive, kinetic, and electrical attacks as well.
  • Sentient Computer: One of the items I was able to gather from the ship was a Bio-tech computer that was made of a similar compound as the nanites. It aids me by providing strategies, background information on opponents, surroundings, and the status of the suit.
  • Sensor Array: Known sensors include radar/lidar, Micro/Macro enhancements, night vision, and physiological/medical scanners that allow me to take and monitor the vitals of other people, including heart and brain scans. These scans also provide me with real-time personal physiological data. They are also capable of an all-environmental scan for atmospheric content or life forms--including astral energy projections.

Defensive Powers

  • Crystallized Nanobot-Armor: A highly complex matrix of molecular-aligned fully crystallized ultra high carbon titanium/Molybdenum hybrid alloy reinforced with alien Bio-tech creating a shell that is pliable, yet capable of amazingly high resilience and protection.
  • Enhanced Durability: The armor is very durable, capable of withstanding tremendous amounts of punishment. It can withstand high caliber bullets with ease. It can also withstand rockets, missiles, torpedoes, high powered lasers, and such, taking little to no damage. It is fully resistant against electricity, fire, heavy impacts, energy blasts, can take zero Kelvin and up to the 100,000 degree temperatures. The suit can withstand almost unlimited kinetic and thermal impact, as well as most forms of radiation thanks to its refractory coating. The armor can survive anything short of a nuclear explosion at ground zero. The suit automatically protects me when I enters an intrinsically hostile environment, such as outer space or deep sea. The armor even has specialized circuitry that guards against telepathic attacks.
  • Energy Shield: Energy shielding that can protect the user from harm. It is also capable of reflecting attacks and staying mobile. At 2% power, the shield is strong enough to withstand a nuclear explosion.
  • Chameleon Mode: Includes invisibility, camouflage, and holographic projection.
  • Scanner Invisibility: Completely undetectable by sensory arrays, including targeting programs.

Offensive Powers

  • Beta Gauntlets:: The armor's primary energy weapon. A particle beam weapon in the palm gauntlets; can repel physical and energy-based attacks, traveling as a single stream or as a wide-field dispersal. Beams possess penetrative strength ranging from effortlessly punching through 2 inches of steel to blasting a hole through a mountain. Power output can be adjust for larger beam or an omnidirectional, full-form beta blast.
  • Lasers: Standard lasers that can be used as weapons or for welding, including UV laser to penetrate light-permeable shields.
  • Miniature Smart Missiles Launcher: The Smart Missile is one that can target the weak points of a structure, object, or foe to inflict maximum damage with a minimal payload.
  • Gatling Gun: A powerful automatic machine gun.
  • Hyper-velocity Impact: The Hyper-velocity Impact is a high energy space laser which follows the target for several seconds inflicting massive damage
  • Telepathic Microscopic Tasers: I created this device to prevent Lady Hypno from using her powers. They are stored in the armor's electric jet. One inhaled by a telepath, the more he/she tries to use his/her psychic powers, the higher is the voltage of an electric current released in his/her body. It can eventually knock them out if the telepath doesn't stop trying to use his/her powers.

I met Nick early in my career. Some members of the Purple gang were trying to convince him to help out their pal who had just been busted on a narcotics charge when I intervened on his behalf.

Cassie long is probably one of the hardest working detectives in the MCPD. To bad she doesn't get the recognition she deserves but I hope to change that if I can help her reduce the case load she has been saddled with by her uncaring superiors.

She is, in many ways, an eternal child. Her mind is bright, alert, curious, flexible, playful, and she is always eager for new experiences - and her attention span is often quite brief. She grasps ideas quickly and once her initial curiosity has been satisfied, she wants to go on to something else. She craves frequent change, variety, meeting new situations and people.
