Twisting Fate It began with a spark. One spark. One tiny spark, shot from the hands of a fallen angel directly into the body of a mortal man. One tiny spark of power that flowed and altered his very DNA so that one day when the world was ready, a Herald would be born to announce the arrival of change. To announce the arrival of Therakiel The Bright.

Emilie St. Croix Emilie St. Croix did not know about the spark that had traveled its way through time to reach her heart. She did not know that upon her arrival into this world, Therakiel granted her with a portion of his own power, so that on the day of reckoning, she could serve him well. Her parents, the caretakers of the High Apostolic Church knew that their little Emilie would grow up to be the shining star of the world, to announce the coming of their lord, Therakiel. The nephilim rejoiced, for they knew that the herald had arrived to bring forth the apocalypse they so desired.

Training From the time she was born, Emilie was taught to love, revere and worship Therakiel as a god, a father and a friend. She was kept away from other children so that she could be conditioned to be The Herald. Her early life was spent in training, learning to become a warrior so that when the apocalypse came to pass, she could stamp out the unworthy. Her teacher was a Being of Power that taught her to control the power given to her by Therakiel. If her teacher ever had a name, she did not know it. She did not even know what the Being truly was. He could have been a demon, an angel or a really strong figment of her imagination and she never would have known.

Family Ties Father: Elias St. Croix (44) is the caretaker of the High Apostolic Church in Vibora Bay, Florida along with his wife, Evalyn. His family has always taken care of the church, even before it was a church. All Elias knows is that it is his family's duty to take care of the church and to prepare his daughter Emilie for the Day of Reckoning. Mother: Evalyn (Beauchamp) St. Croix (41) helps her husband take care of the High Apostolic Church. The true nature of the church had been no shock to her when her husband told her what the building contained. Evalyn's dark background and voodoo dealings gave her the ability to See things in this world that choose to remain hidden from mortal eyes. Sister: Samantha 'Sammie' St. Croix (11) is the only one in the St. Croix line to not see Therakiel as a God. Born with the ability to See, Sammie learned the truth about Therakiel early on and tried tirelessly to explain to Emilie what the apocalypse meant to not only Vibora Bay but to the world, complete destruction and endless death. Since Sammie's birth was not planned and there was no room for any variables, Therakiel ordered Evalyn and Elias to kill their daughter and even though they tried on multiple occasions, some unknown force or being shielded their child from them. Sammie was left to her own devices most of the time and wandered constantly. She has a friendship of sorts with Juryrig and is usually found testing some strange new devices of his in the graveyard around the church.
