Early Years

Bubba Joe Tolliver was born into an impoverished trailer park home and is the eldest of five children. As he grew up it became quite clear that his calling was football. As his high school career neared it's end he was approached by multiple major universities for full sports scholarships despite his dyslexia and inability to read or write.

His home life was much more grim. At the age of 10 his mother died in a fatal car crash. As a result his father resorted to alcohol and would often come home from work drunk and beat his children. His only saving grace was his grandfather, a respectable role model that still has his mark in Bubba Joe's life to this day.

Mutant Manifestation

While evading a tackle in a football game, Bubba Joe's mutation manifested. The impact of his projected force blast injured the player critically and was seen by the entire school. He was immediately removed from the team by the school, intolerant of mutants. Universities also withdrew scholarships, citing mutants playing sports was a form of cheating. Not long after, Bubba Joe dropped out of school.

Bubba Joe's father resented his son for his mutant ability and fell deeper into alcoholism. One night, Bubba Joe's father attacked his pregnant sister in a drunken rage. Reacting to the abuse Bubba Joe defended her with his powers breaking 3 of his father's ribs. He fled the scene to his grandfather's house whom had been making a harness to help his grandson focus his powers better, an attempt to help him fit in. He told Bubba Joe to get on the first bus to Millennium City, where he would be more excepted for who he was and could learn more about himself. Bubba Joe agreed.

Exemplar Hero Academy

The first group of people with powers he met was Exemplar Hero Academy, a school for student learning about their powers. He quickly enrolled but it was obvious from day one that Bubba Joe did not fit in but stayed to learn what he could. He was seen as a brute and a bully for various altercations in his time there, one involving a member of UNTIL. He did become close friends with a half dragon student named Araucaria or Speedgrab. She often became a voice of reason for him and sometimes played the role of his conscience. He speaks well of his half dragon friend he nicknamed "Doc" and sees her as his stable rock he can always go back to for advice.

E.H.A. disbanded a month later.

X-pelled Mutant Academy

Days after the closing of the doors of E.H.A. the attacked UNTIL soldier filed a report and Bubba Joe was arrested. The director of X-pelled Mutant Academy, Carolina Mitchell learned of Bubba Joe and immediately stuck a deal for his freedom. It was then he was enrolled in the school.

A Friend in Need

Bubba Joe became romantically involved with a former E.H.A., now X-pelled student Snowflake. Knowing of her mutant sub-zero body temperature, he ordered a flower that only grew in the cold regions of Antarctica. Doing so turned into a mistake.

Antarcticus, a elemental being from Antarctica tracked the flower down, along with hundreds of his icy minions and held Bubba Joe personally responsible for what it calls "A theft from the homeland." Often, the creature sends minions to interrupt any time Snowflake and Bubba share. Currently, Antarcticus is in custody.

At first, the relationship with Snowflake was not upbeat. They would argue often because of her depression about her condition and untouchable skin. Bubba Joe formulated a plan. He had heard of a mutant that had the powers to nullify other mutants powers he was near, however, this mutant was a villain incarcerated in Stronghold.Wanting her to feel normal without her freezing powers, he attempted to kidnap the power nullifying mutant and assaulted the prison making it just inside before being subdued by the well trained guards. He was later released on probation with some deal brokering from the Dr. Mitchell of X-pelled.

A fellow student Kassidy, enlisted the aid of several members of X-pelled to help steal a power nullifying headband device from Argent, despite Bubba Joe and Snowflakes urging. Once the heist was complete, the headband was given to Snowflake. Questioning about the theft was done by the staff of X-pelled. After charges were dropped by Argent with the return of a replica device and no major punishments were handed out.

Graduation

Bubba Joe Tolliver graduated last in his class from the X-Pelled Mutant Academy. Despite his poor grades that required great effort and tutoring to obtain, he was great athletically and achieved many sporting awards locally. Bubba and Snowflake have lost contact over the years but he still holds a spot in his heart for her.

Catastrophe Corps

Helldozer has joined forces with the hero-for-hire super group Catastrophe Corps.

Powers

Bubba Joe has the mutant ability to release kinetic energy from his body resulting in a single large force blast. He has yet to learn how to control this ability without his harness and offers him little more thena single uncontrolled blast. Also with this power he is able to also give himself enough leaping ability to clear buildings.

His "Helldozer" gear, created by his grandfather Albert Grainger, allows him much more control over his force projections by channeling and magnifying the blasts itself. With this harness, he is able to fire blasts at range, send shock waves thru the earth and fly extended distances. He has also been able to form a field of energy around himself in this suit, giving him resistance to incoming attacks.
