'Humble' Beginnings
Roxanne Hanson was born, it is thought, in 1986. Although her exact birthday is unknown, most people think that was the correct year.
The reason no one is sure because Roxanne Hanson was orphaned at an early age. Left in front of an Firehouse in Westside, she was taken and placed in an Orphanage, where she lived until she was 16, when she was able to become an Emancipated Minor and strike off on her own. However, life in the Orphanage was a bleak one, where Roxanne learned very little about how to function in the outside world. It wasn't long until she fell into a bad crowd, and a world of crime and sin.
It began when she met a man who went by the name 'Terravius'. Although Roxanne didn't know it at the time, Terravius was a pimp who had a substantial amount of women under his employ. He convinced her to 'work' for him, and she was soon turning tricks on the street for money. She didn't care if it's wrong or if it's right; it was an means to an ends, and in her position, she felt she had no other option.
And so, for 5 years Roxanne Hanson was a whore. Those years were hard for Roxanne; she had dealt with Crime Bosses, Villains of all kinds, corrupt politicians and seedy businessmen. Her 'career' was cut short one day in 2007 when a John she had 'serviced' decided he didn't need to pay, and stabbed Roxanne with a boxcutter. He dumped her body in a dark alley, and sped away. As she laid there, bleeding out, she swore that if she survived, she'd do something with her life. That she'd follow the law, and never again stray from it.
She would have died, if not for an encounter with an old man in white robes. She didn't notice him at first, as she lay in that alley. She jumped when she felt his hand on her back, and was initially afraid of the sensation she felt. However, the fear quickly subsided, as her pain had vanished, and strength returned. She turned around to greet her savior, and saw an elderly man clad in a long white robe. He winked at her, and then disappeared into thin air. Roxanne did not know who this man was, or why he had saved her, but she decided to make good of that pledge she had conceived as she lay bleeding in that alley. She would change her life; for the better.
Police Academy
During her time on the streets, Roxanne had learned to handle a gun for protection against the many creeps and crooks of Westside. She believed she had an ample amount of skill; enough to have her qualify as an officer in the Millennium City Police Department.
