"Fortune is a trial. Wealth is a sin. There is power in numbers."

-Mistress Liu Hua

The 333 are a relatively young cult originating in China. Founded by an enigmatic vagrant who frequented the small town of Xiǎohuā in Tibet, the cult is now hundreds strong and have remote operations all over the world. Currently led by Fang Huilang, the sister of a superhero, the cult targets superheroes and wizards in hopes of stealing their powers and strengthening their entire membership with them. Huilang has psychic abilities and uses them to order entire groups of footmen at once, making their small armies stronger using coordination and combined reflexes.

The name is derived from the Chinese concept of the number 3, or groups of three, being lucky. The cult's doctrines consider good luck and fortune to be personal trials for an individual to persevere through, as they believe positive energy leads to weakness. Therefore, the name 333, a very lucky number, is also the name of what they desire to conquer.
