Equipment
A list of signature equipment is as follows:
  • Heavenly Edge, A Sentient Mithril Katana that chose Slice N Dice as its partner. Heavenly Edge has the ability to teleport between long distances and even has been know to traverse dimensions, as well as 'cut' through dimensional barriers, and even through the souls of its enemies. Heavenly Edge is also a shape-shifting weapon, and has been known to become not only a Katana, but a Hammer, a Rifle, and a Shield.
  • Drape of the Dragon, the cape Slice N Dice wears. It can grant a limited flight, as well as acts as a shield; it can harden and become rigid when needed.
  • Rosie and Roland, the two knives he has strapped to his thighs. They are the two chef's knives Buzzy Marsipiano used the most when he was a Sushi Chef; so much so, that he named them. Although they are not much use in combat, they are more of a 'good luck charm' to Slice N Dice, and, also, a reminder of his past, and what shall come ahead.

Additionally, Slice N Dice has a Magical Utility Belt which contains an unlimited amount of items. The separate pouches contain as follows:

  • Pouch of Never-ending Shuriken, a gift from Slice N Dice's Master. It will produce Shuriken at will.
  • Pouch of Magical Tracking Tags, which adhere to anything it is thrown at. Slice N Dice can trace the mystical energies left by the tracking tag.
  • Pouch of enchanted ammunition, to be used by Heavenly Edge when in a Rifle-Form.
'Chosen One' of the Platinum Truffle Society, Known to be affiliated with PRIMUS, UNTIL, UNITY and the MCPD

Slice N Dice is a man of courage. No matter what he faces, he always charges head first, never one to avoid a conflict. With blade in hand, he would prefer to massacre an opposing force than defeat them with guile and stealth. He is a warrior at heart; a warrior destined to do great things...

The Life and Times of Buzzy Marsipiano

Buzzy Marsipiano was once a regular boy, much like you and I. He loved the more intriguing things in life, and was never one to be stifled of his dreams. He loved Ancient History, and was enthralled by stories of Knights, Warriors and Heroes of Old. As Buzzy matured, he grew increasingly unorthodox. He grew a fascination and love of blades, no matter from what tool: knives, swords, axes, even pointy sticks drew his ire. He also seemed to take revelry in breaking 'the norm'; that is, to say, he loved to do things he was not, inherently, expected to be able to do. This included a plethora of hobbies, but one stood out:

Sushi.

Buzzy was soon attracted to the style of Sushi and Sashimi preparation. His love for the craft caused him to attempt to train under the top authority for Sushi Chefs in the world: Okada Masaki. Although no one expected him to gain apprenticeship under Masaki, Buzzy's parents, Joe and Francine Marsipiano, were supportive nonetheless. When Buzzy approached Masaki, however, Masaki saw something important in him. Something, as time will tell, that will end up being of terrible importance...

5 years later, and Buzzy had finished his training with Masaki, and started preparing Sushi and Sashimi for the world. Although many establishments were wary of wanting him to work for them, his precision and skill soon convinced them otherwise. Buzzy was on top of the world, and was even named 'Best Sushi Chef of the West 2007' in Sushi World Magazine. Buzzy quickly rose to success, and as a crucial point in our hero's journey, he decided to open up a business in his hometown of Millennium City, Michigan.

Buzzy's new business, Best Thing Since Sliced Fish , quickly rose to fame. Many famous customers came to dine in his restaurant: Mayor Calvin Biselle, James Harmon IV, and even, although unknown to most, a certain Freddie Foswell was known to frequent his establishment. Life was looking good for Buzzy, but, as we all know, good things do not always last forever.

One night, while walking home from managing his restaurant, Buzzy Marsipiano was attacked by a mugger from the Maniacs Gang of Westside. The Maniac had a gun, and demanded that Buzzy give him his wallet. However, when the thug realized who his victim was, he decided it would be more lucrative if Buzzy was his hostage. As the Maniac lunged for Buzzy, Buzzy lunged back. As the collided midair, the sound of a gunshot rang out. It turned out the gun the Maniac was wielding ended up doing more damage to him than to the one he wished to harm.

At that moment, police started to arrive at the scene. Apparently, a nearby senior citizen witnessed the mugging and called the police, although before the struggle took place. The police, unsure of what happened, arrested Buzzy for questioning. In a few hours, he was allowed to return home after his story was given. And so, Buzzy returned to his home, and laid his head sown for the night. It is then that he started to smell smoke...

His apartment was aflame! He quickly hurried to escape, only able to grab his prized Sushi knives before he lunged out the window into an adjacent alley. Wounded, he limped over to the front of the building to see the cause of the fire: Maniacs. Apparently, they had learned of their fallen comrade, and desired revenge. Buzzy didn't know what to do at this time. His feet, however seemed to move as if they had a mind of their own; a mind that knew what must be done. Buzzy walked to his restaurant, hoping to find a phone with which he could call authorities. As he entered the building, an explosion went off, blowing him back and scarring his face and body. He later discovered that the Maniacs had, too, burned Best Thing Since Sliced Fish to the ground. To put it lightly, Buzzy was pissed.

Death of a Sushi Chef

Buzzy's desire for revenge fueled him to dream up a plan for justice. It was believed that he had died during his house fire, and he had taken to living in Westside under an assumed name. He knew, or at least believed, that if he came public with the truth of his survival, the Maniacs will try again to harm him. This was something Buzzy did not want. So, instead, Buzzy went by the name 'Eric Ordella' and ended up joining the Maniacs Gang.

Now one with his mortal enemies, Buzzy Marsipiano, or Eric Ordella as he then called himself, tried to infiltrate the Gang to weed out those who had conspired against him. After gaining the gang's trust, many close-calls, a brief romantic fling with Zoe Loft, and one year of watching an waiting, he finally pinpointed those who had done him wrong. One night, under a full moon, he cornered the ones who destroyed his previous life, and challenged them.

He told them who he was; Buzzy Marsipiano, the man they had thought was dead. The Maniacs were furious that they were duped, so much so that the outright attacked Buzzy. Buzzy, as though fighting with the strength of a Demon, dispatched each Maniac, one by one, with his prized Knives. As the Maniacs lie dead before him, a sense of dread flowed through him. He did not expect this feeling; he expected to feel accomplished. Happy, even. But all he felt was sorrow.

Buzzy returned to his apartment in Westside to contemplate his next course of action. He knew the Maniacs would come looking for him once they discovered their fallen comrades. He knew not what to do. As he opened the door, he witnessed something that he, even if he had a million years to contemplate what he would see, never would have expected. There stood an old Asian man, dressed in a white silk robe. Before Buzzy could ask what the man was doing there, the old man opened his arms wide, and clapped them together. A resulting shock wave knocked Buzzy back, and he fell to the floor. Well, he SHOULD have fell to the floor, but Buzzy felt as if he was caught in a free-fall...

And then, everything turned white.

The Platinum Truffle Society

Buzzy fell for what seemed like an eternity. It felt as if he were in a free-fall, though there was no wind, no movement around him; nothing. Everything around him was white. Blank. Clear. Buzzy couldn't think of any other word, but one: New.

He hit the ground with a loud thud. Though, he wasn't hurt, which he found odd. The ground was cold and hard; perhaps Flagstones? He noticed he was in a dark room, and he couldn't see anything. What happened to that old man? What exactly had happened? And, most importantly, where was he? At that moment, he heard footsteps behind him. He spun around, and came face-to-face with the old man from his apartment, along with 4 other Old Men dressed in an identical white robe.

"Greetings, friend," Said the Old Man from Buzzy's apartment. "My name is Garan Pi. Your recent skirmish with the ruffians that wronged you awoke your Hero Spirit. You are destined for greatness."

Now, Buzzy thought that was quite odd, especially since the Old Man spoke so bluntly, as if some sort of writer didn't feel like typing a long exposition and decided to just cut to the chase, and let artistic prose be damned! Though, Buzzy just said, "...What?" Obviously, this Garan Pi needed to be a little more clear than that.

And so, Garan Pi, along with the other Old Men, introduced themselves as High Monks of the 'Platinum Truffle Society'; a long-hidden coven of monks, warriors and holy men whose purpose was finding, and training, the Chosen Ones. Apparently, Buzzy Marsipiano was this Chosen One, or at least they thought he was. To discover if their suspicions were correct, they brought Buzzy to a small room with an stone altar, adorned with jewels, flowers and, most oddly, various blades and other weaponry. Buzzy instantly recognized various Broadswords, Katanas and Falchions, though the collection wasn't limited to swords. There were Axes, Shaolin Spades, War Picks, even some clubs and hammers. It was like a Kid in a Candy Store, if the candy was, instead, instruments of death and the kid was someone who could use them.

The Monks brought Buzzy in front of the Altar, and told him they were going to start the ritual to determine if he was, in fact, the Chosen one. Garan Pi told Buzzy to close his eyes, and they would start. Buzzy obliged, and stood in front of the altar, eyes closed.

He felt a hand on the back of his head, and he felt it push violently down. He felt his forehead hit the altar. Hard. And then he didn't feel anything, for a while.

Slice N Dice Begins

When Buzzy awoke, the first thing he noticed was that his body felt different. He felt like he had more power, and looking down, he discovered he had muscles, and that his burns were gone. Also, he noticed that his Belly Button was an 'innie', when he had always had an 'outie' belly button. This he found most bizarre. The Monks from before entered the room Buzzy didn't notice he was in (since he was so enamored by his new Belly Button) and told him the Ritual was a success, and that he was, in fact, the Chosen One. (It was also the first time Buzzy had noticed that his old Sushi Master, Okada Masaki, was among the monks.) They apologized for smashing Buzzy's head against the Altar, and told him it was integral to the transfer of his Hero Body.

Wait, Hero Body? Buzzy jumped out of the bed he was in and rushed to a mirror, and saw someone he had never seen before. For a split second he was terrified, until he started to examine the face he saw in the mirror. He wasn't half-bad. In fact, he kinda looked like that actor Buzzy liked. I mean, better than the burned-up face he had before. Plus, he was ripped! Maybe this wasn't all bad, huh?

The Monks then took him to another room (how many rooms are in this temple, anyway?) where they presented him with a suit. They told him it materialized next to him, along with his Soul Blade. Right as Buzzy was going to ask what a 'Soul Blade' was, a shockingly-blue Katana popped out of nowhere and landed in his hand. As odd as it sounds, Buzzy could tell that the Sword was happy. It was as if his sword was connected to him on a spiritual level.

Well, it turns out Buzzy was right. His sword, who he deemed 'Heavenly Edge', shared a telepathic link with Buzzy. From there, he and Heavenly Edge trained at the temple for many months, honing his skills. He learned how to teleport, much like Heavenly Edge, and also how to call upon his Soul Blade when he needed it. He also learned that Heavenly Edge didn't necessarily need to be a Katana, and could reform itself at will.

After months of rigorous training, the Monks of the Platinum Truffle Society confronted Buzzy. They told him his training had come to an end, and that he would be transported back to where he was taken. They told him that he must leave behind the life he once lived, and must start a new life as the Chosen One. He would be a hero, and needed a name to go along with it. He decided on the name 'Slice N Dice', suited up in his outfit, and waved goodbye to the Monks as they teleported him back to Millennium City.

And, as he rematerialized back in Millennium City, he noticed the city was in ruins, with an alien threat encroaching on the city.

Good time to start making a name for yourself, am I right?

Living Solo

Slice N Dice quickly rose to a relative renown in Millennium City. While busting some of the minor gang rings which roamed Westside, Slice N Dice hit it big when he was televised fighting Foxbat on the roof of the Shandor building after a 'botched' bank robbery by his Foxiness himself. He started gaining this recognition, which, as always, attracts both fame and infamy; beloved by the citizens of Millennium City, yet hated by the seedy underworld.
