Star Bolt
You might think this story starts in a far off galaxy somewhere. And, in a way, it does. But we will get to that later. The real story begins just 14 years ago right here on earth, with a young boy staring up at the stars from his backyard...
As his mother calls, Gavin looks over, sits up on the grass and climbs into his wheelchair and heads on in to bed. When Gavin was 5, he was paralyzed from the waist down due to a spinal injury when his parents' minivan was struck by a drunk driver.
- Energy Projection - Star Bolt can project Cosmic energy in many different forms of earth's elements including fire, electricity, etc. Most of the time he focuses it into concussive beams.
- Increased Strength - The cosmic radiation emitted through the meteor shard fused onto his back also grants him increased strength far beyond that of a normal human.
- Increased Resistance - Although not completely invulnerable, he has extremely high resistances to damage as well as extreme temperatures and is able to survive the vacuum of space.
- Flight - Bending cosmic energy around him, he is able to fly.
- Doesn't Need to Breathe - While in his cosmic form, he does not need to breathe which allows him to survive deep space.
- Universal Knowledge - Since the meteor shard has been fused with other beings from all over the universe over thousands of years, it contains the knowledge of the previous users, allowing the current user to access a near limitless understanding of the universe.
As a human, Gavin is an underwhelming 5'8" tall while standing with his leg braces on and weighs only 155 lbs. He is very slim in build and not in the slightest bit athletic. He usually has messy looking brown hair, a goatee and requires his glasses to see anything beyond a few feet in front of him. He is, of course, paralyzed from the waist down and requires the use of the mechanical leg braces he designed in order to stand or walk.
However, the meteor shard allows it's host to shift into a cosmic form to utilize it's powers. It tends to use parts of the current user's personality to shape it's cosmic appearance, but almost always causes most of the body to appear as a window into space. Gavin's cosmic form stands at 6'2" with a broad frame, silvered armored pieces and hair made of a blue cosmic "fire".
