The Secretary (as she is known colloquially) is a lackey-for-hire and mercenary in the northern part of Michigan. Despite having a delicate appearance and demeanor, she is extremely dangerous to heroes, villains, and civilians alike. Her agenda, which was disclosed by a rogue fire demon, seems to enforce her lethality.

Origins

Hell

Secretary, next to her past sidekick, Baeliph.
Most of the information on Secretary comes from her demonic sidekick, Baeliph, who was attacked and nearly killed by Secretary's assault. Having once been her vassal, Baeliph pretty much held nothing back when informing HERMES officials of her background.

Secretary was born in the 2nd circle of hell; the hot whirlwinds, where souls sinful of Lust were sent to be punished. Secretary's true name is not known, as she's been known by plenty of common first-names as well. Whoever she was in life (or even whoever HE was in life), she turned out to be a particularly stand-out and domineering spirit, her will refusing to break to the relentless punishment of the gusts. As a result, The Devil took notice and made an offer with her, allowing her to be removed from her punishment, in exchange for severely punishing other sinners. Having had her psyche so twisted by her time in the winds, and having little consideration for harm or pain inflicted against others, she readily took up the Devil's offer. At least, this was what Baeliph had been told; this was a deal that had admittedly took long before he had ever arrived in hell. This origin of Secretary was mostly word-of-mouth from herself, during the time Baeliph still was her servant.

It was roughly 200 years back that Baeliph and Secretary had joined forces. Baeliph was to be a watchman and scout for Secretary, to seek out those who had performed sins in life, report back to Secretary to give her information and receive orders, and then subtly influence fate to either kill or speed the death of those who have sinned. After being killed, these victims would be given a short judgement (with Secretary acting as a temporary and hasty prosecution) and usually would be sentenced straight to hell, to be put on the Secretary's roster and sent to the appropriate section of hell. For most of the part, Secretary's job was going well, and she and Baeliph had few issues.

This changed when Secretary and Baeliph attempted to cut short the career of Pastor Isaac Lee, a Christian priest of an interfaith chapel in uptown Roosevelt City. In truth, what had happened was a tangle in communication. Secretary had ordered Baeliph to go after another pastor by the name of Isaac Leye, a priest in Scotland who was guilty of molestation of several children. When Baeliph had reported that Lee's conscience was clear and that he was not guilty of any sins, Secretary ordered him to end Lee's life anyway. Sending the villain group of DEMON a bounty to hunt the uptown pastor, Isaac Lee's soul was riven from his body, and ascended to be judged.

Secretary lay in wait, ready to help influence the process of judgement. When she eventually faced the facts, though, she had lost the case, and Isaac's soul ascended onward to heaven. The Devil, knowing that this had been a huge mistake, sent Isaac and God a personal apology. The latter made the decision to send Isaac back to the world of the living, imbuing him with a portion of his power and encouraging to stand up against such travesty. Isaac Lee went back to the world of the living, and became the superhero known as Paladin.

The fact that this had been the first case Secretary had lost paled in comparison to the fact she and Baeliph had just taken the life of an innocent soul. The Devil, of course, did not take this well in any shape or form. The Devil had a reputation to keep; an amicable, but cruel enforcer of cosmic rules, not some life-taking and life-ruining monster! Though Secretary had faithfully served her master for 9 centuries, this fault could not go unnoticed. The Devil banished both her and Baeliph from hell, leaving them to wander the world.

Earth

"Trisha" attempting to speak with Satan.
Secretary had, ironically been sent to earth in the forests nearby Hell, Michigan. Her first course of action, of course, was to hunt down and horribly maim (and preferably kill) Baeliph for what was obviously his blunder. Baeliph, using his shapeshifting magic to turn into an imp, was quickly able to make his way away from his starting location nearby Secretary. Getting vengeance on her incompetent lackey was one thing, but she now was also no longer immortal. It was a cold, bitter winter, and she barely had any clothing to keep her warm. She temporarily forgot about her former vassal, quickly making her way towards the lights in the distance; the town proper of Hell.

Secretary spent a few days recovering from the hypothermia, telling the locals a convincing story about how she was a middle-age business graduate named Trisha, who had been "mugged and put into a ridiculous costume". After getting a new set of fitting clothing, she made it a priority to get a human job as a secretary in the nearby Millennium City. For a few years, she worked steadily as the desk attendant at Harmon Laboratories. Despite some somewhat airy credentials, she proved to be a very competent, punctual, and proper worker.

During this period, though, she was secretly conspiring with the members of DEMON, in an attempt to get in touch with The Devil and try and get some of her abilities back. After months of sacrifices and kidnappings, the DEMON cultists and Secretary were able to call forth the lord of darkness himself. Secretary, having not seen her former boss for a year now, gravely apologized for what had happened to Pastor Lee, and asked if she could take up her job again. The Devil, admitting that her replacement was having a bit of trouble getting used to the new job, made a deal with Secretary; she would take Baeliph's place as the one to keep in touch with his Secretary and hasten the ends of sinners. In exchange, The Devil would slowly grant Secretary her powers back, allowing her to go after stronger threats. Agreeing to the deal, the Secretary's demonic form returned, and her abilities were partially restored. Her first task; kill the DEMON cultists who had summoned him (and interrupted his fiddling practice!)

What had actually been an act to try and return to her infernal home was interpreted by the press as a bloody, but just act of retribution. A story was made up by the press that Trisha had been kidnapped by DEMON from her workplace, and flooded by Demonic energies and permanently warped into what appeared to be a monster. Secretary rolled with the story, saying that her mind had not been altered by the DEMON's infusion. Knowing that it would be enough to cover her real agenda for a while, she became known in the Michigan area as the demonic superhero: The Secretary.

Ups and downs

Secretary's "other job".
From then, Secretary was now able to indulge in a lot more. She was easily meeting a quota of sinners for hunting down evildoers, as well as appearing as a fairly reliable vigilante. Despite not being able to hold on to an official hero license for long (on account of killing most of her targets), she still was quite capable of making a profit, still doing her white-collar clerical work at Harmon industries, as well as other small jobs; much more suiting her nature and abilities.

As Secretary's abilities returned to her and she became stronger, she was soon given an offer from Project HERMES to become an international guardian against extraplanar and occult forces. The offer was redacted, however, after Baeliph came forward and told the story about Secretary and her origins, as well as her possible plans. After this, Secretary became known largely as a villain in the Millennium City Metropolitan area. It only got worse from there, as she was fired from her main job as a secretary. Now she had to take to the streets and red-light districts to get any income.

On the flipside, this opened a lot of options to Secretary. Now it was no longer villains she had to go after; she could get orders to end the life of anyone whom her master deemed to be a sinner, whether it be civillian or even a hero. Despite her now uncovered intentions, her immense power from taking hundreds of souls of mortals and demons (including Baeliph, after she finally caught up with him) means that she often is the go-to-girl for immense threats to the world or even the cosmos themselves.

Detailed Information

Personality

Secretary is extremely smart, to the point that she can be extremely deceptive. To many, she can appear as a bimbo, who deliberately and repeatedly lets her guard down, only to turn her true face and completely destroy her attackers. Extremely manipulative, she also isn't afraid to temporarily stoop into submission or humiliation to get what she wants from somebody. However, don't expect to let such an exchange of 'services' go unnoticed by her; she will guarantee that she always ends with the upper hand.

She has been cited to be the most expensive courtesan in Millennium City, capable of using her powers to imbue her clients with immense ecstasy, and search their minds to understand what, deepest down, turns them on. Despite her limited telepathic abilities, she has absolutely no empathy, and has no permanent allegiances or commitments to any mortal. The only being she feels is on any equal to her and deserving her faith is the Devil himself.

Combat Specifications

Secretary has plenty of nasty tricks up her sleeve. And her gloves. And probably every other opening or orifice she has.
As a Succubus, Secretary's physical capabilities are on a near-cosmic scale. She can easily lift 2 tons of weight, and never runs out of energy to do any sort of combat movements. Her wings can easily carry her at speeds of 90 miles per hour, and she can easily run at nearly the same speed.
Having a minor disagreement with Gravitar.

Secretary's abilities also include her shapeshifting capabilities, allowing her to take on the shape, and even physiology of any other person or creature. She largely uses this in conjunction with her telepathy to understand the fetishes and fears of her enemies. In combat, this ability allows her to scare her victims witless, paralyzing them as she uses her dark projections to crush and sap the life out of her prey. She can also use her telepathy to induce masochism on her victims, removing the enemies' will to fight back against her.

Secretary, having so many natural abilities, does not carry much equipment. Her only noteworthy items are her Secretary's Kid Gloves and Cravat. The Gloves she carries serves largely as an effective way to hide her hands while they shapeshift into specialized implements, as well as provide an impressive tactile punch when she smacks enemies around up-close. The gloves finally, and obviously, help keep her hands clean. Her Cravat is mostly a symbol of status, but a very important point of contention to her; if you manage to get the cravat off of her, she will stop at nothing to get it back. At the same time, removing it from her causes her to lose control of her powers slightly, making her strike slower and more weakly.
