<p>Once human, turned Manimal by Dr. Moreau. This nanotech scientist has been searching for a way to reverse the effects and become human again. Unfortunately, during his research he was forced to take an unfinished nanite prototype and fend for himself when VIPER raided his base of operations. This prototype destroyed much of his human self, losing all memories of his past. Turando secured the destruction of his own research, preventing VIPER from acquiring it, however, upon his escape, he was caught and executed by the squad. A few short minutes later, he reawakened to the soldiers arguing in a containment room. He sealed his executioners in and made his way out to the jungle equipped with only his wits.</p>

<p>Turando's name isn't really even a name, it was a term used by one of his alien patients that meant "Medic". Turando never fought the Qulaar directly during their attack on Millennium City, he was always in the background tending to the fallen and making sure civilians reached safety. This was Turando's first appearance as a Hero, showcasing his early medical devices and nanotech improvements. UNTIL, seeing Turando's capabilities, offered him a spot in UNITY. Turando may have declined joining them, but he did agree to working alongside them for a price. UNTIL gave Turando funding, but as his research improved, so too did his requirement for additional resources rise.</p>
