Personality

Youthful, energetic and outgoing, Tito is a very kind and friendly man, if not a little proud and snarky at times. Content with the powers he has gained from Huitzilopochtli, Tito has become a great deal more confident in himself than he previously was, and is not afraid to show it. While somewhat cocky thanks to his new powers, he still approaches most situations logically and thoughtfully instead of acting impulsive or brash. Tito also possesses a good sense of humor to boot and is generally always in a pleasant mood.

As a hero, Tito possesses a strong sense of justice, something that is further driven by Huitzilopochtli's influence over him. While fierce in battle towards his enemies, Tito is also very merciful in how he deals with criminals, never killing unless he absolutely, positively has to, and even then, he takes the matter seriously.

Abilities and Equipment

As the avatar of Huitzilopochtli, Xiuhtotol is immortal in the sense of age and possesses formidable durability and strength. In addition, as the avatar of the Aztec patron god of the sun, Xiuhtotol possesses the powers of solarkinesis and pyrokinesis. As Huitzilopochtli is also the god of war, he has also granted Xiuhtotol all the knowledge needed for him to wield the mystical Shield and Sword of the Sun with skills that allow him to rival, or even surpass most mortal swordsmen.

Divine Resilience

Thanks to his powers as Huitzilopochtli's avatar, Xiuhtotol possesses an extremely high degree of physical resilience, and is as such virtually immune to regular bullets, blades and any other mortal-made weaponry, including all but the most advanced kinds of weapons and ammunition. He is also immune to extreme sources of heat, such as magma, and even the sun itself.

Solarkinesis

Arguably, Xiuhtotol's most powerful ability is his power to control the energy of the sun itself. While not anywhere near Huitzilopotchli in terms of power, Xiuhtotol is still extremely adept in his manipulation of solar energy. He is capable of projecting powerful blasts of solar energy and plasma that can blind and burn opponents, firing beams of focused solar energy that can burn through all but the strongest of armor types, and calling down destructive rays of energy from the sun itself. While in the sun, Xiuhtotol is at his strongest, gaining energy from it and increasing his own strength in turn. At night, Xiuhtotol is able to absorb reflected sunlight from the moon, granted the power he gains from this is not as potent. Without direct exposure to the sun, or the moon during the nighttime, Xiuhtotol must rely upon built-up solar energy from the Disc of the Sun, a "fragment" of the sun itself that serves as something of a "battery" for him, as well as a mode of transportation; The disc itself is capable of unfolding into a pair of majestic, fiery bird wings that grant Xiuhtotol the gift of flight.

Pyrokinesis

Xiuhtotol possesses the ability to manipulate fire in addition to solar energy. While not nearly as potent as his solar-based powers, Xiuhtotol can wield his powers over flame without exposure to the sun. With his abilities, Xiuhtotol is capable of breathing fire, calling down a rain of fire, projecting fireballs and sheathing his body in flame among other feats.

Sword of the Sun

As the avatar of Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec patron god of war, Xiuhtotol is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant. His preferred weapon is the mighty Sword of the Sun, a large macuahuitl (An Aztec weapon resembling a cross between a club and a broadsword that has knapped obsidian blades embedded in its sides) that is almost as long as Xiuhtotol is tall. The Sword of the Sun is bound exclusively to Xiuhtotol: Anybody else who tries to take the weapon without his permission will often either receive a nasty burn, or find themselves unable to lift the sword. The blades of the sword are made from enchanted obsidian, and are capable of being superheated to the point where swinging the weapon can produce a wave of flame. Despite the weapon's massive size, Xiuhtotol is capable of wielding it effectively with a single hand and can effectively summon it to himself if it is somehow separated from him.

Shield of the Sun

Wielded in tandem with the Sword of the Sun, the Shield of the Sun is a metallic "chimalli", an Aztec-made shield, that has been imbued by Huitzilopochtli. Unlike a typical "chimalli", which was usually made of wood or maize cane, the Shield of the Sun is made from a golden metal complete with a thin turquoise rim, and features an elegantly-etched pictogram of the sun adorning the front of it. While small, it is nearly unbreakable and capable of wreathing itself in intense flames that can burn foes who are foolish enough to strike it, making the shield a vital defensive tool for Xiuhtotol in his heroic duties.

Miquitzlimaitl

The vile being known as Miquitzlimaitl (Lit., "Death's Hand" in Nahuatl) is a direct servant of Mictlantecuhtli, the Aztec god of death and the ruler of Mictlan (the Aztec underworld), and is additionally an indirect underling of the evil Tezcatlipoca, the Aztec God of night and sorcery. It is unclear exactly what Miquitzlimaitl is: Xiuhtotol suspects him of either being a willing mortal servant of Mictlantecuhtli, or a resurrected Aztec sorcerer, a lich, who has been corrupted by the god. Regardless of his origins, Miquitzlimaitl first appeared in the mortal world following an ominous omen first witnessed by Xiuhtotol, and has presently been spreading misery and death since then. While his goals are unclear, Miquitzlimaitl has been using his power to gather and slay mortal beings, either sacrificing them to Mictlantecuhtli or killing them only to raise them again as mindless undead servants. These events are, thankfully, often interrupted by Xiuhtotol before they can come to full term. This has, in turn, made Xiuhtotol in particular a priority target for the ruthless necromancer, who has made a personal vow to slay the hero for ever interfering in his work.

Miquitzlimaitl is, appearance wise, a "modern" version of his master: An unnaturally lanky man clad in full-body tights featuring a skeletal pattern and a fearsome skull-shaped face mask, complete with glowing red eyes. Over the tights, he wears a mixture of bone and turquoise armor. Two thin purple and white-patterned cloth capes extend down from his spaulders, and what appear to be owl-feather "wings" extend down from his underarms to his wrists. Power-wise, Miquitzlimaitl wields an array of deadly spells, all of which are based on Aztec sorcery and necromancy: He is capable of projecting powerful blasts of darkness, raising the dead to do his bidding, and possessing mortal beings, among other things.

Romance

Yolanda "Singing Vixen" Howard

A very close friend and fellow fighter in crime, Tito met the Western American super-heroine named Yolanda Howard, also known as the Singing Vixen during the 2009 Qularr Invasion of Millennium City, during which the two fought valiantly together against the insectoid invaders. Following the failed and defeated invasion, Tito and Yolanda became firm friends with one another, often fighting crime together, or simply spending time in eachother's company at places such as Club Caprice. However, over the years following the Qularr invasion, feelings between the two grew stronger, enough so that something of a romance was beginning to blossom. Their feelings for each other truly culminated at the beginning of 2012 during a particularly sudden and intense night of intimacy between the pair.

Despite the intense feelings of love and tenderness Tito has towards Yolanda, he is also aware of the potential issues that could come with being romantically involved with a crime-fighter, as well as someone who is slowly turning into a wild coyote. While such a relationship is often tolerated within the super-powered community, he does indeed fear that the media might perceive his relationship with the heroine to be a form of bestiality, despite the blatant fact that this isn't even remotely true. Regardless, Tito has promised to stay by Yolanda's side no matter what, going out of his way to defend their relationship at any and all possible turns.

Aware that Yolanda is presently undergoing a gradual transformation into a wild beast, Tito has also put a significant amount of time into finding a way to halt or reverse her transformation, even going so far as to consulting with Huitzilopochtli himself on the matter. While he presently hasn't found any promising means of reversing Yolanda's curse, Tito continues to remain diligent in his search.
